   The moving crew was incredibly polite, harding working and stayed until the job was done, even though the move went into the evening. Those movers made me a customer for life! I hope to not have to move again, but if we do, we are using My Guys.

   Decent movers, lacking in timely claims

   My move went pretty smoothly, however, we ran across several items that were damaged after the fact. Luckily I got a claim submitted before the cutoff, but it took almost the full 60 days and so far I've gotten no response to my follow up question regarding the amount. Also, it wasn't made clear to me that they don't take responsibility for anything you pack. I was extremely careful packaging boxes, used paper and bubble wrap for fragile items, and they mostly arrived intact, but I was unable to get compensate from broken/missing items in boxes. Everything fragile was clearly, so it would have to have been dropped to break something like stoneware.

   Initially pleased with the arrival time and packing of large pieces. Possessions had to be in storage for 6 weeks. Didn't find out until items were delivered to new house, that one of the movers took the bolts and nuts for the dining room table and the shelf pins for the servers. Have no idea where they went, certainly not with the table. The screws for a desk in the bedroom were wrapped around the dining room table leg. Why ? They unloaded quickly and efficiently. I was asked to sign the inventory sheets at the end, not as each item was unloaded, which it should have been. How do you know anything is missing? Turns out there are quite a few things missing. Among them, a small portable Sentry safe, several pictures, items from the kitchen, a stained glass octagon shape with roses and bluebirds, $200, more items too numerous to mention. All but one of the wardrobe boxes was destroyed (that is where the safe was). They were the most careless movers ever and we have moved several times before and nothing was missing. Things were broken, not necessarily their fault, so I am not upset about that. Besides the missing items that I have indicated I would like found, I am now upset that I was informed not to contact the original estimator or his cohort. I wonder why. I had to spend the time to walk through the house and garage, with my phone, and indicate what was to be transported or not. No one came out to do that. I am not asking for money. I just want my possessions returned. They did not disappear into thin air. They are only important to me. How can you unload from the house, put in the truck, and supposedly put in vaults in storage and return to the new location with missing items?? I trusted this company with literally everything I own. They tell me no other person's items were on that truck, that the vaults were empty and my items are not there. How can that be? Also, most of them did not speak English or understand English.

   Moved across town 13 miles $3000!!!

   DO NOT use this company. They mis quoted me $170 an hour approximately 6 hours with two trucks across town - then tried to charge me $3000 for a 13 miles 3 bedroom house move!! The teams they sent had no experience and stood around and talked, smoked dope,etc. Then wanted to bill me by the hour for 6 guys! it was unreal. I was moving stuff just to get it done. most of my kitchen stuff was dropped inside the basement door. I found my golf clubs outside under the carport! Nothing was where it should have been. They drove in my yard and broke tree branches. Broke the leg off my chest of drawers, broke the legs off my sofa, scratched my hardwood, chipped my walls. Broke my shop cabinets, my printer, shredder,etc.I t was very traumatic to watch a man who could hardly walk insist on carrying my furniture. Having to stop and rest in the middle of carrying stuff up the stairs. They acknowledged breaking my chest and the yard and said they would fix it. I eventually contacted the sterling office to get claim info. After I finally got everything moved upstairs and unpacked, by myself, I filed the claim with pictures and invoices for repairing the damages. It was $500. Not much considering. I never heard back until June. At which time they told me I had to file within 15 days of my move! It was December! How do you get estimates on fixing all this stuff in 15 days, let alone even know what all is damaged! I am beyond frustrated. I have been in contact a couple of times since, even sent an email to the owner. Nothing.

   Unreliable!

   This morning I had a 9-10am appointment with MyGuys to move furniture. By 10:30 no guys, no phone updates, no nothing. When I called them they said it could be another 30-45 minutes, and when I cancelled they said I'd forfeit my deposit, as if it's my fault they planned poorly and allowed insufficient time. We'll see. But do not do not DO NOT use MyGuys! Unreliable and unprofessional!

   THEY ARE HOLDING OUR BELONGINGS HOSTAGE!

   SCAMMERS. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY ARE CURRENTLY HOLDING OUR BELONGINGS HOSTAGE! The situation: We sold on a Friday and we’re scheduled to buy/settle on our new home this upcoming Thursday in the same city. We needed a local move for the contents of a 4 bedroom single family home, with 6 days of storage in between. We spoke with Eric Jensen, who sold us on a magnificent quote. The day of the move, the driver brought a contract, the numbers didn’t match the quote, so we immediately called Eric. Eric assured us, the driver was mistaken and Laura at the warehouse would have the correct numbers (that matched his quote) upon the trucks return to the storage warehouse. Two days later we receive a total for our move from both our sold home into the storage facility and from the storage facility into our new home. Together they are 2500$ MORE than the original estimate. We called Eric, who refused to provide the location of our stored items and politely said we needed to speak to the company’s Vice President, Josh DeVaughn, before hanging up. With no number for Josh DeVaughn, my husband called Laura Hotaling at the warehouse who says she knows nothing of the matter, or our move. At this point we’re being forced to get the police involved, to locate and retrieve our belongings. This is a NIGHTMARE. We have no idea how to explain this to our three children. In the end, there’s no way to know when our belongings will be located and/or retrieved and in what condition they will be returned.

   Very disappointed

   Very disappointed that items were missing after our move! The company did absolutely NOTHING to even try to replace or compensate us in any manner. A company should hire trustworthy employees and stand behind it. I would NOT ever use MYGUYS Moving ever again and would not recommend anyone using them. We spent a couple thousand dollars on our move, personal things came up missing and the company DID NOTHING AT ALL ABOUT IT....that sadly tells me they are not a very reputable or responsible company!

   Dishonest and Disappointing.

   I have seen My Guys trucks on the road and heard about them around town for years so when we finally moved in April 2020, I was thrilled to have a chance to use them. Moving day went smoothly - all the movers were efficient and in great spirits the whole day. We had absolutely no issues with them during the course of the day and tipped them accordingly when they left. Unfortunately, we found out during the unpacking process that they were not as great as they seemed. A very expensive office chair had been completely broken during moving and we were not informed of it. To make matters worse, they hid it at the back of a room so other things had to be unpacked before finding it. Also, two of our beds (yes TWO) were put together incorrectly. When my husband and I got in our bed that evening, the whole right side crashed to the floor. We had to drag the mattress to the floor and sleep there..not exactly the sleeping experience we were hoping for after an exhausting day of moving. When we looked at it the next day, the stabilizing bars had just been placed in the slats, they weren’t even screwed in. The exact same scenario happened to our guest bed the night after. I am very disappointed in this company, more for the fact that they were not honest and upfront about things. When you trust a company with all your belongings, you expect them to be HONEST, trustworthy, and careful. Three ideals I am sorry to say, this company does not uphold. I will not use them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

   Do Not Use! Horrible!

   Horrible, horrible - do not use for moving, packing - Quality Movers or JK are much better options. Honestly, anyone else would be better. Their sales guy GROSSLY underestimated the number of men we would need and the amount of truck space we would require after walking through our entire home..claiming he's been doing this for 19 years. We needed 6 not 4 guys and a solid two trucks not one..maybe two. The movers are outsourced from a 3rd party, most cannot communicate as they do not speak English, and they were not happy when they showed up and saw how poorly estimated this job was. And their work showed that. They were supposed to cover the walls of the stairwells - did not do that. They were supposed to disassemble a brand new crib before moving (specifically asked about this and it was reconfirmed that is the process) - did not do that and I saw them shoving it down the stairwell..of course they damaged the crib and the walls. And if you don't catch them in the act of damaging something, they certainly don't tell you and you find it as you are unpacking. $400 mirror was dropped into a wall - both mirror and wall damaged with a large hole in it. Drawer taped back on a kitchen cart after they had already ripped it off. You file a claim and the movers don't get their bonus..so the movers and the company try everything in their power to not have to process a claim..allows them to tout "only 2% of clients file claims with us." Trust me, that statement provides far from an accurate depiction, and there is a lot more damage done in moves that than statement would denote. And if you are going to use them, get the insurance because even with a claim, the most you will get on any one damaged item is ~$50.

    Disatisfied Customer.

    I recently used My Guys Moving and Storage for a local move. I had to place my items in storage for 25 days as a part of my move.  I asked for and received an estimate from My Guys which came in at 9 vaults and 3 oversized items.   After they had my items in their warehouse I was billed for 14 vaults and 9 oversized items.  That almost doubled my bill based on their original estimate.  I complained loudly and often and in the end was able to get a small percentage taken off my final bill.  However, I still had to pay My Guys $6,872.00 compared to the cost estimate which would have been $4,525.00.  I highly recommend AGAINST using this company for future moves.
