Bad communication on delivery and pick up times.
I was told I'd receive a call 24 - 48 hrs. prior to pickup. I called the company within 24 hours, since I did not hear from them, and was told my pickup would happen in 5 hrs. At pickup, I was not given an estimated delivery date, as "promised" in conversation with booking agent. Delivery in 2 - 12 days doesn't help me plan. The delivery time was changed at least 3 times, within a 48 hr. period, dependent upon the previous delivery. I had to pay $400 to have my shipment unloaded from a semi to a smaller truck because the 50 ft. semi wasn't allowed on the rental property. My goods were picked up and loaded onto a Ryder rental truck, that would have been appropriate for the delivery location. I notified the company within 3 days of a box that did not belong to me, as well as a missing box. No effort was made to pick up the box that did not belong to me so I assume no effort was made to locate my missing box. The move cost me $800 more than expected, $400 because I had more items that listed on the initial inventory (my fault) and $400 because I had to pay to transfer my goods to a smaller truck (company's fault). I would not do business with National Promovers again, even at the lowest price, which it was not. It was the middle price so I thought I was getting a good value.

National Pro Movers-Horrible.
This review is broken into 3 sections: Packing Crew, Management, Delivery crew. 1) Packing Crew-The military has moved me 17 times in 31 years. This crew, without question, did the most professioanl job I have ever seen. Everything was packed well and nothing was broken. Very satisfied and nothing bad to say about the fellows who actually packed the HHG. 2)Management-Completely unsatisfactory bunch of incompetent, amoral, scam artists and bait and switch artists I have ever encountered. Whoever "Jeremy" is, he should be fired for his unprofessional and almost criminal behavior. Read the other online reviews. Call the review writers before contracting any service from this company. Then guard your cash with great care. He is in the business to rip you off any way he can. DO NOT believe anything he says. "Alex" appears to work for Jeremy. Although a nice guy who talks politely, he works for Jeremy. Whatever estimate you are given on the phone will mysteriuosly grow when the crew arrives and so will your final bill. They are very slick operators who will not answer emails-no paper trail to bite them later. Check the BBB-Atlanta reports on this company. They don't even bother to answer most consumer complaints filed against them. That MUST tell you something. I was charged an extra $1200 for "storage" before my HHG would be delivered. They "estimated" my HHG to be 17,000 pounds by the arriving pack crew "Foreman". I have moved enough to know I had nowhere near that poundage. I wanted to see a weight ticket. They refused to take the truck to a local truck scale until I threatened to call the police and report them for stealing my HHG. I had 13,000 pounds of HHG at the truck scale. If you believe for a second that that changed the amount charged, you would be mistaken. A complaint to Jeremy ended with him hanging up on me. He said his crew was late for another pick up. I asked where. He refused to tell me. A complete unprofessional and should be arrested and jailed for fraudulent business practices. Trust me, he is laughing at this review and will be laughing at you when he gets your CASH ONLY payment. Took 2 days to pack because the truck driver stayed in the cab and slept for 2 days while the workers packed the HHG. 3)Delivery crew-showed up 2 hours late on delivery day. Workers (except the driver) were local "day labor" guys. Could not care less about unpacking the HHG is a careful way. The "driver/foreman" told my wife he was not going to reassemble the beds/furniture as he was "late and in a hurry". She stood her ground and made him do it. ( I was at work). Summary- You are nuts to have this compnay move your HHG. Find a local, nationally known brand (Allied/Bekins/Etc.) ANYBODY but National Pro Movers. .

Slimy business practices, 14 complaints on BBB.
I cancelled my scheduled moving plans with National Pro Movers because they 1) demanded cash or cash equivalent before delivery of furniture. (This is not standard in the industry or secure for the customer, Credit cards are safer for customers. 2) Yet they charged my credit card for $199.00 as a non-refundable deposit 3) They would not refund my deposit 4) Would not give me the name of the owner. Only his first name. This is a slimy online operation. BEWARE. .

Interstate moving companies.
The reason we chose National Pro Movers was the customer service we received from Alex. Our contract included a delivery date between the morning of June 1st and the morning of June 5th. Occupancy was June 1st, and the move was for a residency program , and we were out of town on medical issue from Thursday evening June 5th - Sunday afternoon June 8th. Since we knew no one in Texas it was imperative the delivery be in the time frame specified on the contract. Obviously this company does not feel an obligation to the contract they wrote and we signed. The communication was poor unless we comtacted our salesman, Alex, who responded always but could not always give us an answer. Then the answer came. They would arrive Thursday night, which of course was when no one would be there. Their solution was for us to find a storage unit to put our things in. Since they did not stick to the contract we asked Alex to find a new solution. He contacted the management of our new residence and they agreed to release a key to the movers if we would fill out and sign a specific form, which we did since we had no other options. Thursday night turned into a promised Friday morning at 9:30, then 3:30pm, then 5:00 pm, then 6:30 pm. We requested they call when they arrived and had it lined up with the guards and the management office to oversee the movers. At 8:15 pm we called them and heard noise in the background as if they were out to eat or having a good time, and they had decided, without contacting us , to wait until the morning to move us in. Unfortunately they failed to tell us and the management office is closed Saturday. When they arrived on Saturday morning they made us pay an additional $150 which they informed us was a great discount, because the guard was not there to open the gate for the moving truck and they had to carry things in. The next hour plus was spent on the phone with them as they were moving other peoples furniture and items into our residence. To ensure all our items were delivered and set up as requested( of which they lost the schematic drawing we left)it was imperative we remained on the phone. Our true dissatisfaction was because they failed to keep their end of the contract, required us to pay additional funds when it was their fault that the guard was not there, and when I contacted Alex after the move to ask for compensation for their errors he said that Jeremy was handling it. I called Jeremy to resolve my issues before submitting this review but his mailbox was full and was not taking any messages. What a nice way to run a business! I then called Alex back and he assured me he sent Jeremy a message to contact me, but I never heard from Jeremy. In the end I only paid $50 more than quoted because when they first started with all their excuses and reasons they could not be there on time they did offer us a $100 credit, but took it back just as fast when they further broke all verbal and written contractual agreements. I would never recommend this company to anyone based on the lack of service we got from management, the fact that the persons who picked up our things asked for a tip, and their lack of willingness to discuss with a customer the problems that arose. I will commend Alex at doing his job, and doing it well. I highly recommend he take his resume to a company that can stand behind their product/services. Our rating was : Poor and completely dissatisfied.
