   Deceptive service.

   I am compelled to write this review as a last resort. I worked with NJT to arrive at an estimate of moving expenses. The estimate was below the other estimates that I received. I communicated several times to arrive at the estimate. Boxes and furniture all measured and counted and tallied. I removed a few furniture pieces and the estimate was reduced. Once NJT picked up my items and had possession of them, the estimate kept growing. Each time the cargo moved the load changed in size. The end result was over $1000 additional in charges. I feel the company would be willing to correct the error. I was wrong. One valuable piece of furniture arrived in 4 pieces. I filed a claim and was reemburse an embarrassing amount of $36. I contacted NJT and they said company was sold and nothing they could do. I was never offered additional insurance .I do feel we were given a low estimate in order to secure our business , then once our possessions were in their hands increased the bill. I am hoping this review helps other potential unsuspecting customers from using NJT. Once the load was in their hands the communication became very sporadic. This was an extremely disappointing stressful experience. I believe our next move is to address this fraud with a consumer advocate group.

   OVER $4,000 worth of damage and not refunded!!!

   If I could put zero stars I would. Moved from NH to KY. The guys moving the stuff out of the apartment and into the house were great. However the way they treated our stuff between pickup and drop off is deplorable. Every box was dented, every piece of furniture has a scratch or broken, shattered kitchen wear, broken vaccum, broken tv, broken computer… the list goes on and on. Their claims company offered us $130. 60 days later. Not even the price it cost us to replace the tv (which they packed) let alone the hundreds of other items broken. If you’re looking for a moving company steer clear of these people. A sheer disregard for your personal items.

   Worst Company to deal with.

   One of the worst experience I have ever had with any vendor. I shipped my furniture from NJ to CA. They initially gave an estimate of 10-15days but it took 60days to get my furniture.. I wasted so much time in writing emails/phone calls etc..at the end it took 60days and we faced so inconvenience living without our furniture and finally when it arrived my TV stand had broken leg and the late compensation they paid is 20$ per day (Total: $340) and even for this check they took 2 weeks to pay it. Terrible service for the price we paid, it's not the cheapest option we had,we actually paid more than other bidders but got this service.. Check the picture if you can't beleive it.

   Fraud Alert!!

   These guys are involved in illegal practices including black mailing and illegal possession of other people’s property. I hired them to pickup my luggage from old house on day 1 and deliver to the new house on day 2. After getting all luggage details they agreed to do the job for $1200, that included overnight hold. They picked up all the luggage from old house on day 1 but didn’t show up at the new house on day 2. When I called they asked me to immediately wire $3500 to a bank account otherwise no luggage will be delivered. After hours of unfruitful “negotiations”, I gave up and paid $3500 in cash on day 3 morning in exchange for the promise that the luggage would be delivered the same day. After that, they stopped receiving my calls. After 20+ unattended calls, I called local township police around 8 PM on day 3 and explained the situation. Police called their office and left a voicemail asking for the explanation. Luggage showed up at my doorstep on day 4 morning without any prior notice. The labor told me that they were there to simply deliver the goods and had no idea what’s going on behind the scenes. My family had nothing in the new house during that time, that included my mom’s medicine. We were surviving on take out food in disposable plates and portable mattresses borrowed from friends. I’m going to involve local municipality and law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter in order to protect others from falling victim of this scheme. Reach out to me and join hands if you had similar experience with them.

   Move.

   This was the worst moving experience I have ever had.They arrived late, then the foreman told me he would need the whole potential fee (7hrs for a 1.5 block move, though I was assured that it would end up being less than that and I did not have to pay the whole estimate) or he was leaving. NJT knew we needed to move that day, as we had rescheduled once. I called Vanessa, one of their behind the scenes people, who assured me they would take care of it. We would be refunded the money. She was so nice and seemed concerned, so we trusted her. Long story short, we were never refunded the money. The team broke my bed, we're out over a thousand dollars. In the following days I called repeatedly and found out that they hadn't even done the move - they had been overbooked, and asked a sister company to do this instead. No one thought to tell me that until a week and several calls later, when they basically said "this is no longer our problem, take it up with a company you were not contracted with." This was illegal, this was theft, and I do not recommend working with these liars.

   Honesty and professionalism.

   I have NOTHING good to say about this company. They are dishonest, careless, abusive and completely unprofessional. Their delivery estimate was TEN DAYS late, their final price was double their estimate, and their driver stole a $ 1,000 television from my load when I refused to accept his abuse. The $48 offer of reimbursement for the theft was typical of their complete disregard for the level of service they offer. Under no circumstance should anyone ever use this company.

   Worst move.

   This was my first time moving and was the worst experience! They will give you a low estimate and then charge you more on the actual moving day. They justify the over charge by saying that the rate is hourly so basically they end up charging you whatever they want in the end. They quoted me 5 hrs for my move which was to be two separate moves (out of my apartment, storage for 1 wk, into new apartment). When I asked specifically if that 5 hr quote was enough for the ENTIRE moving process they told me yes. I figured it would probably take maybe another 2-3 hrs extra but I was so wrong. Ended up charging me another 5 hrs so basically they didn't even quote me for the 2nd leg of the move. On top of that, two of my items were chipped. Do yourself a favor and find another company to do your move. This was an experience I wish I could forget.

   Worst Move EVER!!

   I have moved 11 times in the past 10 years. This by far was the WORST experience ever! I was originally contacted by a representative after a posting a job on labor site. I wanted a flat rate estimate and was convinced by the rep that I would most likely end up spending more money than necessary because their guys were quick and efficient movers. Against my better judgement, I went along with her suggestion. The movers came on Monday morning and arrived around 10. The "chief" Walter, immediately started acting like it was a problem to park his truck and get work started. He even advised it would be best to sit and wait for 30 minutes until he could park his truck where he needed to. I told him, that I would not be paying for wasted time and that he and his workers could come upstairs and start wrapping items and move everything to the lobby to get started then move his truck when the space became available. He reluctantly agreed and it took another 15 minutes for them to come up to my apartment. I learned later that they start charging when they arrive on site. So I basically was charged for 40 minutes of them doing absolutely nothing. Once he got upstairs, he immediately started pointing out upcharges. So apparently, wrapping and packing mirrors, printers, computers.. etc. is NOT included! To wrap a mirror with materials that we DO NOT KEEP was $35 alone. I listed all of the mirrors in my house during the phone estimate and not once did they mention it is extra for them to wrap these items. My husband ended up putting all of our pictures, frames and mirrors to the side and we had to move them ourselves so that we wouldn't have to pay an exorbitant cost when it was all said and done. Once they moved all of our belongings into the new house, for one, they piled the boxes so high to the ceiling that it has been a struggle organizing and arranging them in order to unpack. They scratched up our leather couch, scuffed up our freshly painted walls and then only put back 2 pieces of furniture that they disassembled. We were assured that anything they disassemble to move, they reassemble once at the new house. That was a lie. At the end of this horrible move, I ended up spending $100 OVER the original estimate. THEN Walter had the NERVE to ask for a tip and told me the minimum is 20%. WHAT?? First of all, asking for a tip when you didn't even move all of our things or set our beds back up was extremely bold! But on the other hand, I felt bad that the men that came with him wouldn't get anything for their hard work, since they weren't the ones in charge and had nothing to do with Walter's poor service or money scams. I ended up writing a check for the staff, but now that I think of it I hope that the workers are the actual ones who received the money and NOT the scamming "chief." Listen, RUN!! Run from this company! Do NOT let them take your money the way they did to me. Their service is horrible and at the end of the day they are just trying to make as much money off of you as possible- they don't care about the service or making sure your things remain in pristine condition. I saw the good reviews and decided to give them a try. But I regret it soooooo much!

   Do Not Use This Company.

   I have to agree with "scam scam scam". Total nightmare. Wish I could give them negative stars. They breached a contract, putting our items in storage TWICE. They asked us to lie to insurance and say items were never in storage. They LOST an item of furniture that is extremely hard to replace (but made us pay the balance before they unloaded the truck, so we didn't know the item was missing). They didn't deliver on time, didn't call with delivery windows. Never returned phone calls. THE WORST COMPANY EVER. I'm so frustrated at this company that if it takes me a week to write reviews on every single website that mentions their name, so be it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    Residential move from Connecticut to Florida.

    THIS MOVE WAS LAST YEAR, JULY 2016. Your website keeps showing this as an "international move". It was not international. It also has boxes checked as "no" for damage, dirt, and loss. All of those things should be YES. Worst experience ever. I suppose I should be happy that my stuff arrived at all. Estimate was a moving target. Even though they gave an estimate and we provided all information ( that move included a 10 x 10 storage locker) the estimate changed 2 or 3 times while they were loading. We wound up leaving most of the contents of the storage locker behind and rented a truck in October to retrieve it ourselves. They were supposed to come with a large moving van but showed up with a small truck that was completely inadequate. They had to come back with another truck to finish the job the next day. The guys who picked up the stuff were slobs. They left garbage from their food and drinks (that we provided!) and empty tape rolls ( dozens of them) everywhere. When the stuff arrived, it was in a leaky, beat up, ancient truck. They hired local guys to unload while the driver slept. They were horrified by the way the truck was packed as well as the condition of the truck. Those guys were professional movers who were just moonlighting. They could not have been nicer. Our belongings were thrown in the truck. Heavy stuff was on top of lighter stuff and boxes and wardrobes were crushed. Things that were carelessly wrapped arrived with ripped wrapping and filthy. Our mattresses were gross. Dirty and scuffed. Many items were broken. When they left, there was still stuff (a ladder, office equipment, and garden tools) visible to us, on the truck But the most unbelievable screw up concerns a beautiful, antique parlor grand piano. They said "no problem" as to moving it. It was supposed to be put in storage. As I write this review, they still don't know what happened to it. The idiots delivered the legs of the piano to me and have never responded to exactly where the rest of this beautiful instrument, that has been in my family for 50 years, is. The offer from the so-called insurance company for New Jersey Transport is insulting and makes no attempt to deal with the loss of my piano. I would sooner throw my stuff in the ocean than let these dishonest, disrespectful, losers touch it.
