   Moving Day

   Could not have asked for a better experience with our move. Tyler, Kyle, and Rob were awesome. Very professional and the friendliest young men you could meet. They set our minds at ease on what would have been a stressful day and turned it in to as relaxing an experience as my wife and I could have had.    Move from Middletown Township to Chalfont

   Used Riley 3 years ago and the move was flawless. Moved 2nd time in October 2021 and once again flawless. The 3 man crew was Bill, Javier and Ryan and their performance was professional and efficient. I would recommend their moving services without hesitation. I received a breakdown of the rates and fees that I would incur and said expenses were as explained and reviewed with me. Thanks to Riley our move was uneventful which made for a less stressful day. Thank you

   Moving is a very stressful experience and I’ve done plenty of it. I recently used Riley and Sons Moving Co and was left very happy with their services. Their price was affordable, the movers were strong, clean and friendly. Everything about this company was professional and stress free. I highly recommend them.

   Made a stressful day less stressful.

   Riley & Sons moved my 3 bedroom house last weekend. I had contacted them on a referral from a guy I met on Craigslist when I bought some boxes from him.   I had already gotten 2 other estimates. Riley & Sons was in the middle cost wise. I went with them because of their positive reviews and the referral. I emailed Bill a complete inventory of the furniture I wanted moved. He provided a written estimate, which I signed off on. Bill called me as promised the day prior to verify all was a go. Was told to expect sometime around 8am. They arrived at 815. The estimate was for 5 hours move 1 hour travel. They worked steady with no issues. I had them disassemble beds & a treadmill. They took apart all and reassembled no problem. They were nice to my nosy kids and did a tremendous job. When all was said and done they came in 1 hour under what was estimated. Nothing broken nothing lost. Great job.

   Best move ever.

   Best move ever!  I have moved 5 times and this was by far my best experience.  Movers were amazing, professional, trustworthy, on time, speedy and courteous. They really moved us through some tough twists and turns on an adventurous move that even saw them hoist bigger pieces through the window.  I recommend them highly and they will be the only people we call if we move again.

   Moving.

   We were quoted the total job was going to be 6 hours total with travel time. Our total job took 10 hours. They sent 3 guys but wish they sent 4 to move it along quicker. It took a lot less time to get the items in the new place than it did to move the items out of our old place. Needless to say, we were not present at the old property to observe, as we were doing our walk through at the new property. I have no problem if the price was a little off but to be off by 4 hours is unacceptable. I had even called to tell them to add a bedroom set and they gave me the new hours to 6..really not sure why it took 10.

   worst move, ever

   I used Riley before, 2 times over past 10 years for moves between PA and FL with no issues. But now, the 3rd time it was the worst, will never call on them, nor recommend them. Their treatment of my items is an insult, and being a repeat customer at that. My boxes arrived as if they went through a tumbler. They paid no attention to labels of fragile, glass, top, arrows up as to not tilt to side, etc. Treated them all with equal contempt. Even worse, the dishonest way they described the condition of my furniture on their inventory sheet. They code their condition, 100% of them, as badly worn, scratched, soiled/stained, etc. Hardly worth paying thousand to move, by their own description all labeled as garbage condition. Of course, they present this AFTER all items are loaded, ready to go, a quick signature, off they go. An honest review is done up front, mutual review, let them show where all these stains, etc are. They do charge for insurance with 250 deductible, hardly worth having since insurance will not pay for garbage anyway. Just an other markup. Big mistake to go on trust, so I am a sucker for trusting them, always demand their list of item conditions BEFORE they load them, and if you want your items handled with care, you just may be in for a let down with Riley, as I was. Never again.

   Missing items

   We used this company to move our furniture and belongings to Florida. We purchased additional insurance for the move. All our boxes were smashed and ripped. After delivery we found that several boxes were missing. We never received an inventory list to check items. Unfortunately we signed all the paperwork without checking only to find a day later that several items were missing. They delivered items to us that weren’t ours. We informed them the day after delivery that the items were missing. They gave us the run around for 6 weeks before telling us the claim was denied because we signed the receipt. I would not recommend using this company because they are a bunch of liars and thieves. I used them only because I saw their ad in a Philadelphia police magazine.

    Paid dearly for this mover.

    Although everyone we dealt with at this company was pleasant, it turned out to be a ripoff.     First of all, the estimate we were given was half of what they charged us in the end.  They charge by weight, not flat rate--and they certainly take advantage of that.  Don't be fooled with the line they give you that they do this to try to save you money by only charging for what you have.  This is how they make their money.     When the men came to pick up our things, they acted like they were just helping us out by putting a couple of mirrors in big boxes they had..until we got slammed with a $250 charge for packing and supplies.   When our things finally arrive at our new house, everything seemed fine.  A couple weeks later, while unpacking, we discover that several antiques had been broken during transit and also several boxes had never made it here.     I contacted the company and was told that because they didn't pack the boxes and there was no physical damage to the boxes on the outside, it was not their responsibility--regardless of the hundreds of dollars we had to pay them for "insurance."  As for the missing boxes, we signed the receipt so, again, they're off the hook.  They had told us we had around 150 boxes total.  How we could know every single box and every item was accounted for before their men left was a ridiculous expectation.  And again, the "insurance" we paid for was worthless.   I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you enjoy being taken advantage of.   I should've listened to all of the negative reviews I read online before hiring them.   Do yourself a favor and stay away.
