   Drivers for both drops offs and pick-ups were super friendly. My stuff was delivered as promised. Definitely helped make our long-distance move much easier. 100% recommended!

   Customer Service is a JOKE

   Beware of CATFISHING!!! They were absolutely amazing when I called and they quoted me over the phone (completely off). Their professional never came out to confirm the price. They changed my pickup date 3 times causing me to reschedule my flight. Then they dropped off the planet. Handed me over to a company that picked up my stuff, doubled the cost and then refused delivery for 3 months! I finally had to fly to New Jersey to pick up my stuff and drive it across country myself! Save yourself the headache, just don't trust the pretty talk up-front.

   Absolutely DO NOT work with this company! We booked our move 8 months in advance, paid our deposit through Zelle (that should have been my first clue) not to work with them. It was about 2 weeks before our move date and WE called them and they said they weren’t able to find movers… what? We’re you not going to call and let us know. What the heck? I was so mad, the lady told me we would be getting a refund. Well that was over 2 months ago. I have called almost every day and they say we are backed up. NO one calls me back or emails me back or anything. Please take this as a caution and DO NOT work with them! They are just scammers.

   Read Your Contract

   READ THE CONTRACT! I will never work with this company or another broker ever again. Hired them to move our stuff across country. They provided a quote, and a tentative pickup date. They rescheduled the pickup 3 times, pushing us out 4 weeks! The movers they outsourced and quoted us an entirely different price at pickup. The took our stuff in the opposite direction to a warehouse where it sat for 4 months! They refused delivery and told me that if I wanted my stuff I would have to go get it. During those 4 months, when I would call for an update, they would put me on hold and never pick up. Promise to call me back and never do. They were rude and passed me around from rep to rep with no updates and no help. They lied about their owner. I am almost positive if you did enough research, the positive views below are all paid for! But that is just a guess based on their lies and deceitful ways to get your money! Read the contract!! They get away with this because their deliveries are estimates only with NO TIME delivery. They can hold your stuff as long as they want and they will!!!!

   We Got SCAMMED!

   We got a quote from them, looking at it closer they had changed some of our sizing. We called back and they promised a whole truck if we paid another $1000.00 which we stupidly did! The movers came and filled 1/2 of a UHAUL, they didn't get the information that it was a whole truck. They said they could fill the whole truck, but it would be another $4,000. We should have refused service and moved it ourselves with a UHAUL. Our stuff went to a storage unit in California, and we got it 6 weeks later. Our shelves were dented and unable to open, and some of our things were broken. We received someone else's tax records and bathroom supplies. They take advantage of a already stessful time. When we called to complain, they hung up on us. Go with another company! We have sent them letters and emails, but they won't respond.

   we were promised experienced movers with “White Glove” treatment.Uspro Movers showed up-They had a 26’ truck. no moving pads, other items already in the truck. we had 2 full 10x15’ storage units. USPRO lied to us re: business, wouldn't provide ID or business lic. We sent them away. Standard would not return calls or email and just stole our $, Never apologized or tried to provide another mover. I ended up reporting them to VENMO and US PRO to the DOT. - THIS IS THE FINAL EMAIL I SENT TO STANDARD WITH NO RESPONSE - I sent the below email to you 5 days ago. I have not received any acknowledgement that this is under review. At this point I am questioning whether your business is a legitimate business conducted to help people during the move of their property from one point to another. I have contacted the Venmo Customer Service to let them know of this potential fraud. I am in the process of filing a Police Report with the Nashville Police Department (where the theft of our property was attempted and the address associated with the Venmo account you were paid from), the Raleigh, NC Police Department (where the moving truck is from and the USpro moving company is registered as a business and has an address) and the West Palm Beach, FL Police Department (where the address of your business on the contract is located). If I do not hear back from you regarding some type of solution to this issue, I am going to notify the Better Business Bureau in all 3 states. I also plan on giving those police reports to the Federal Department of Commerce, the Department of Transportation and The Fraud Department of the United States Department of Justice. This crime encompasses several states – Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina and utilizes intrastate commerce. At this point I am still hoping that your company is not involved in this crime and that I will not have to pursue further paths and possible litigation. I would like a fair resolution to this issue. I am willing to spend money for the prosecution of this crime. I am not going to drop the theft of my money. I would hate to think other people may fall for this scheme and it would not sit well with me to know I sat back and did nothing to try to curb this possibility

   Scam, that's all there is to it.

   I made a reservation and decided to cancel it just a few hours later - well within the allowed time for a refund. From here, I'm going gloss over the hilarity behind repeated calls over and over until I picked up, harassed for a reason why I'm cancelling, and hearing a voice in the background "coaching" I guess, but really the guy was just criticizing me. Really, it was amazing. Shortly after being hung up on when they realized I really really am canceling, I got an email from customer service saying I'd have a refund in 30 business days. That was toward the end of November, and still nothing. My emails and calls have not been answered. So I'll update here for everyone if I do get my deposit back; however it seems I'm going to be following in the footsteps of others and sending this to my lawyer / filing a complaint everywhere possible. Lessons learned: Read more reviews, and never give a deposit that's not on a credit card.

   Reposting review after threats

   I had originally sent a deposit over Zelle to Standard Van Lines in July 2021…after doing a little more research I found a cheaper alternative and cancelled my reservation within the terms of the contract and was sent a confirmation I would be refunded my deposit. After countless unanswered phone calls and emails I had posted reviews about my negative experience when I was immediately contacted by the company threatening to withhold my deposit for the reviews and I removed them all. I was then finally sent a check at the end of October with directions to contact their customer service department which I did and was told to wait at least 2 hours before depositing. Upon trying to deposit my refunded deposit check at Bank of America where I am also a customer they informed me the account had already been closed for several weeks. Bank of America then opened a fraud case against Standard Van Lines but unfortunately this company is aware of all the loopholes with using Zelle. I have also filed complaints with US DOT, FBI internet crimes, West Palm Beach Police department and FTC. I will most likely never get my deposit back but I am lucky I did not keep my reservation and potentially lost all of my belongings as well.

   This company is complete garbage. I spoke with Dustin Ross about my move and he told me that it would cost $3000, that I could add up to 500 additional pounds of inventory without the cost going up, and that the movers would disassemble and then reassemble my furniture (including bed and kitchen table). Well, all of that was a lie. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DUSTIN ROSS, HE IS A SCAM ARTIST. The movers showed up a week late. By the time the made it, I had already moved and had to have a friend there to oversee the pickup. The movers showed up, loaded everything, and left. She did not sign any documents. Then the next day, I got a bill for DOUBLE the initial quote. This was on January 4, 2022, and I still don't have my stuff (today is January 20). I have been trying to work something out with the carrier since they're the one who have my belongings. I spoke with Standard Van Lines several times, and they were enormously unhelpful and rude (especially Angelica). Essentially telling me that this was no longer their problem. They are only in it to get your deposit, and they will sell you lies to get it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have filed a federal complaint against them, which is currently pending. I highly suggest others who have had issues with Standard Van Lines do the same.     Re-think before hiring these movers!!!

    If you are moving, BEWARE!!! AVOID USING THESE CARRIERS BELOW…. Standard Van Lines 2260 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd, Suite 212 West Palm Beach, FL 33409 US DOT: 3522328 MC: 1169599 Stop and Move LLC 21 Edgewood Street Tenafly, NJ 07670 US DOT: 2839735 MC: 950924 Elite Pro Movers INC 4600 N CUMBERLAND AVE UNIT 103 CHICAGO, IL 60656 US DOT: 3754212 Short version of my story. I hired Standard Van Lines for my move to Arizona. Standard Van Lines quoted me an estimated value of 500cf. They contracted out my move to Stop and Move. Stop and Move contracted out my move to Elite Pro Movers. On the day of my move, I was quoted a new estimated value of 1765cf. I disputed this estimated value and the driver informed me nothing will be loaded until the new contract is signed and I pay a partial payment. I called Stop and Move and they said the same thing. This is one day before I am to vacate the house so the new owners can move in. After repeated unanswered calls, my items arrived 16 days after the delivery date they provided. When they arrived, I told them I wanted to measure because I knew I didn’t use 1765cf. They said I had to sign a document stating that I used 1765cf (8’x9’x27’) and pay the balance before they would open the truck. I knew I did not use that much space, but they refused to allow me to see into the truck until I signed and paid. Which I did because I felt I had no choice. When they opened the truck, it was half empty! I measured and found that I actually used 864cf (8’ X 9’ 12’). I was overcharged $3600. I contacted all the companies above to get this resolved and none are willing to correct the error and have stopped returning my calls. Please share so another person is not scammed by these companies!! Thank you to everyone that helps spread the word!
