   SCAM COMPANY!

   This company is ONE big scam! Do not use them! They will give you an estimate with out coming to your home - They will ask you to complete an itemized list of the items in your home. They will then sell your contract to a 3rd party Shipper (D United Logistics; look up this company reviews you will freak out) with out telling you who they are in business with. They lie and tell you a reputable company will be the shipper, and day of it will be the scam company D United Logistics. It is now 1.5 years later and I do not have all of my furniture. Tierney refuses to help with the process, and taking no accountability for all of the lost assets. Eddie Gates is the manager who refused to talk to me and will push me off to his colleague Jessie James. Everyone is helpful and friendly in the early stage, but will turn on you once they've received your money. It all starts with Tierney the brokers who sell your contract to random 3rd parties, who all scam you and steal your money and furniture!!

   Nightmare

   My move was from Pasadena, CA to Greenville, SC. A one bedroom apartment. Not a lot of furniture. The original estimate was $2,500. A week before the move, I called to confirm and I went through a detailed review of my moving estimate. Suddenly it went up to $3,500. Fine. It's a little late to change movers. I had already paid them $1,200 down. Balance would be $2,300 (half due when they picked up, the balance when they delivered)>. The movers (a locally contracted company) arrived on the scheduled day. When everything was loaded, the said I owed them $2,100, not $1,200. Suddenly the total for the move was $5,000, twice the original estimate. What could I do. I had to pay it. The movers arrived in Greenville on the scheduled day. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, the lost a large bookshelf, a large area rug, a coffee table, a floor lamp and $750 worth of CDs that I was selling. The mover also tried to deliver items that did not belong to me, including a 52" television. He had no idea who it belonged to. I called Tierney. They said to call the claims office. They didn't even offer to try and locate the missing items. What, did they disappear into thin air? The claims office required receipts for all the items that were lost. Items that I had purchased years ago. I don't keep receipts that long. I sent 2 more complaints to Tierney. No response. I filed a complaint with BBB. They sent it to Tierney. No response. There was no communication between Tierney and the local movers they contracted. The movers said that Tierney's sales people were terrible estimators. They lowballed everything just to get my business. If you see good reviews for Tierney, they were probably posted by Tierney employees. These guys are jerks.

   Took my Mom's money. Provided NO service.

   I notice my last review was deleted so I am writing this AGAIN. My mother, who has Alzheimers, called this company about a long distance move. They got a $1400 deposit from her. We had no idea she'd done this and she promptly forgot. We ended up putting everything on a UHaul and moving it ourselves. When I discovered this deposit while going through her bank statements later I called and was told we'd missed the cancelation window. They flat out refused to refund the money so they got $1400 for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This company is an absolute sham, is NOT accredited by the BBB and should be avoided at all cost.

   Lied from the very beginning. Tierney Van Lines is a criminal organization. If I can prevent just one person from giving them your hard earned money then its worth it. In my entire life I have ever left 2 reviews but had to share what I know about this company after giving them 2,000.00 and literally receiving nothing in return. They lied to my face on more than one occasion. They need to be shut down. I am a healthcare worker who took a job in TN to help w/ the COVID crisis and agreed and signed to have my things here Jan 8th 2021. Here we are Jan 15th and my things are still 2000k miles away. I even told the " Personal moving coordinator" Cody Reid - I understand things happen if the stuff is late or if something comes up just lmk ill I ask is communication. They could not even do that. Cody deleted his cell number and never heard from him again after he took my money. But he was awesome until that point! hahaha such a joke. They don't even move your stuff they contract other (terrible and cheap company's) to do it and they make a couple hundred bucks for being the broker. They have no idea where my things are and thats if I am lucky enough to have them answer there phone. AVOID AT ALL COST

   Liars that never showed

   Never showed up and lied to me repeatedly. They were due to pick up no later than today but decided to reschedule me outside of my move window without consulting me. After they realized they'd accidentally admitted this, they started telling me "Dispatch is working hard to fix this for you but she can't get hold of the driver. We'll call you back in an hour." This was their response for 8 hours and they never once called me. Even when they were scheduled to close in 30 minutes, they still claimed they'd have things sorted out if I called back in an hour... A complete scam and outright liars that only communicate up to the point that they've received money from you.

   This is a claim for damage caused to all furniture and items that were given to your Company to move them from Pembroke Pines, FL. to Payson, Utah, according to the inventory sheets that relate 118 items marked as Lot1101537with RED tape. when the move arrived in UTAH it did not succeed neither red tape nor was it the same truck that collect all items in Florida on October 29 2020. Total of items with damaged are: 8 (eight) as is in the inventory list lines: -line #39, card with broken handle (pg picture 11/15) -line#43 coffee table beaten and broken the corners of the top (pg picture 10/15) -line #67 end table hits and damages in the corners (pg picture 3/15) -line #82 hit damage the base of the Dining table.(pg picture 5,8/15) -line#88 totally broken and destroyed a floor lamp.(pg picture 6/15) -line #96 desk broken and drilled the top. (pg picture 4/15) -line #116 floor light lamp hit in base. (pg picture 7/15) -line #117, trash can break on base.(pg pictures 9,12/15) NOTE: none of the furniture they disarmed in Florida were reassembled at Utah's final destination as was the commitment and part of the contract.    Refund and cost of moving estimate

   DO Not use this moving company, they under bid our moving estimate, and we found a local company to use. They pheromones promos promised a refund, which had been over a month that we have still not received. After numerous phon calls then they only could promise $1650,00 of the $2300 deposit. Supervisor Eddie Gates now has his phone calls screened, and will not return my calls for the money he said I would receive. This company is a scam ! BEWARE!!!!!!!

   Move across country.

   The very worst experience of our lives. What was quoted as $12,999 turned into $30,000 plus. Sub trades asked for personal cash. No support from Tierney. Just got yelled at. On delivery staff didn’t show up and paid for services not completed. We ended up unpacking ourselves. Such a scam. Don’t ever use these scam artists. EVER.

   Terrible customer service.

   I do not recommend this company! Booking the move and paying my deposit was fairly easy, the problem was repeated lack of communication. My move was delayed for two days the morning I was expecting pick up (that was upsetting of course, but not the issue). Six times in 3 days (from different employees and 2 supervisors) I was told I’d receive a phone call at a certain time to update me on my move so I set aside time to take those calls and no one called. All six times. I explained each time I set up a new call time that I hadn’t been contacted at the last arranged time and they say they understand and apologize and then continue to not call. Their customer service was a joke. After I’d paid a $1200 deposit I can’t get a call returned when they say they’ll call, 6 times. Why would I trust them to complete my move and pay them more money when they’ve demonstrated they can’t keep their word. I cancelled my move and emailed the address they provided asking for a portion of my deposit back and again I got no response from that email. I called 2 weeks later to follow up and they say they won’t refund me any amount but will credit my deposit, good for 3 years. I asked for a receipt or some proof of this credit and was told “it’ll be in our system, just call us” I continued to ask for some proof this credit exists today or in 3 years and was told they’d have to talk to management to get back to me. No surprise, I haven’t heard back yet. I do not recommend this company.

    Would NOT recommend - look elsewhere save your time and money.

    They will promise you the world and deliver on nothing. They seem to hide behind temporary google phone numbers. The sales jockeys will run down everything, provide a low ball estimate and a pseudo amazing cost. From there they hand you off to a "quality" agent to review the items. The quality agent never called. Once they get your money they post on a bid central moving board with a low ball offer that only the worst movers will pick up. We accommodated the movers request to reschedule 3 times. The third reschedule was for a Saturday morning. We received a call 10 minutes before the scheduled window was coming to a close. The movers needed to reshedule for late afternoon. We were on the fourth reschedule. Of course the movers called that they were running late. The office was closed. After several voice mails, emails to every address on the website, Paul called and said he would resolve the issue. More empty words as we never heard back from him. It was too late. we had to be out of the house by a certain date and couldn't wait any longer. They surely kept the money and we never received anything but empty promises and no service. I have 17 state to state moved under my belt. Tierney Van Lines knew all the right lingo to get my business. DO NOT BE FOOLED. We found another service that bent over backwards for us. We called the new company on a Monday and by that Wednesday afternoon our household goods were on a truck. Good companies are out there, Tierney Van Lines - NOT ONE OF THE GOOD COMPANIES.
