   Most Shady Company

   I should of known better like the old saying "too good to be true". They quoted me a price $2K cheaper than the cheapest price I had. My house deal fail through and I emailed the billing department and text this guy Vinny the very next day for my $1000 deposit and got no response. I found out they are just brokers and they make money keeping the deposits from customers that cancel or when the actual moving companies charge more than agreed. I never seen a company so many negative reviews and BBB complaints, I should of checked them out first. Don't make the same mistake that I did!

   Worst Moving Experience Ever

   The movers they sent brought a U-Haul box truck that was exactly the “estimated” square footage of my move estimate after I was told by 3 people that a semi truck/trailer would be used incase I was over my estimated amount. The movers did their walk through and then the head mover said we had twice as much stuff than what we stated during our estimate. Before he would move a thing he wanted us to pay him the extra money it would take to move all our belongings(even though I was told during my estimate that if I had more than what was estimated I would not pay extra for it). We call customer service and was told we either pay the difference, get a U-Haul for the extra stuff, or leave the extra stuff behind. Since we needed to move that day (new owners were moving in that night) I had a neighbor take me to get another haul for the extra stuff while my husband stayed to help facilitate what the movers would move). While I was in route to get another haul, my husband had a neighbor come over to help him with something in the house and while he was inside, THE MOVERS FLAT OUT LEFT! DID NOT SAY A THING. Customer service was all confused at what happened and told us the movers will not move us because they said we were being rude…they then said they could get someone else the next weekend (which was not in my contract). I tried to explain that we had to leave that day since the new owners were moving in that night. I asked for a recorded of our conversations and was told that they don’t provide that for customers. I told customer service that they were breaking our contract by not providing movers that would preform the job. IMO, since we declined to pay movers the extra fee directly (which I am sure they would pocket) so they didn’t feel this move was worth it for them. After I returned with a U-Haul the next size up and had our awesome neighbors help load it we all had to laugh at the fact we didn’t even fill it up. All of our stuff would have fit in the size the movers brought (can we say scammers!?!). Trying to get our money back from costumer service was useless. You contact their billing department and no one messages you or call you back. Tried to go through my CC company and the movers told them they were “willing and able to move our belongings”. Love a CC company who doesn’t stick up for their loyal customers. So now I have paid to move my family twice. DONT USE THIS COMPANY

   SCAMMERS

   UNITED CHOICE MOVERS ARE SCAMMERS! THEY LIED ABOUT BEING A MOVING COMPANY AND HID THE FACT THAT THEY ARE ONLY BROKERS!! THEY BREACHED THEIR OWN CONTRACT AND i AM ACTIVELY SUING THEM AND i WILL PREVAIL AS i RECORDED ALL OF MY CONVERSATIONS WITH THOSE CRIMINALS AND HAVE EMAIL PROOF TO CORROBORATE MY POSITION!! THE STAFF APPEARED TO BE SO NICE AND HELPFUL AND RESPECTFUL BEFORE THE SELL!! STAY TUNED

   Don't ever go with a broker, talk to a real moving company.

   TL;DR: Don't book with United Choice Movers unless you want to get charged double your estimate on moving day, and if you don't have the money to pay in cash or money order you will be stranded like we were, with no place to live. Go with a legitimate moving company who will have someone come to your house, PHYSICALLY LOOK at your stuff, and give you an accurate price. (Also, per my specs above, it was a 2 bedroom APARTMENT and the movers quoted $4800 on top of the $1000 deposit we put down. Hence, $5800). My father-in-law and husband decided to go with this company and went through the process over the phone of taking inventory with Sales Associate Alex Scott to get an estimate. We paid the deposit (WHICH YOU ONLY HAVE 48 HOURS TO GET BACK BTW, it's listed in the contract), got our paperwork and were set. I got a followup call on Wednesday 9/20, about 3 days out from our scheduled pick up, from Quality Assurance associate Joe Ellis in Georgia. He did not leave a message on my phone, called my in-laws to say he was trying to get in touch with me, but refused to say the reason like this was some CIA-level classified nonsense. Terrified that something was going wrong with the move, I called him back (he had no voicemail box setup with his name at this time) and left two messages. He called me back later that day to state that he needed a final inventory list for the movers and I could email that to him. He had emailed me a day or two prior with specifications for the inventory list (medium box = 18x18x18, medium plastic bin = 18-23 gallons etc.). At this point, I had read reviews and gotten rid of big furniture items, such as our couch and our bed (and more), to MAKE SURE we would only get charged our estimate. The house was packed, so I sent the list with the specs given to me and left nothing out. He (Joe) called me the next day to go over the list with a few questions, and assured me that there was enough space in our estimate to fit everything, and that we might even SAVE some money (what a joke). The movers show up on Saturday, 9/23 (since they don't give you a FIRM date, only a 2 day pick up window), look at our stuff, whip out a calculator, and tell us we were grossly underestimated for our space and that it will basically be double our estimate. The moving company who showed up at our house told us they aren't United Choice, and that they simply get jobs from them. Obviously, we didn't have the money to pay them and had to send them away (for which they claimed there would be a $750 cancelation fee). Luckily, our landlord has another apartment we can rent, since he already rented ours out, but had he not we would be stranded states away with nowhere to live. A customer service associate named Gabby called me yesterday, 9/25, to speak to me about my "experience at pick-up" at 9 pm. I didn't pick up (because it was an 800 number at 9 O'CLOCK AT NIGHT?!?!) but I will be calling back, along with the Better Business Bureau and a few other places. And I swear to God if I get a BS "we are sorry and would like to hear more about your experience" reply to this review my response will be going through an attorney.

   this company is a joke DO NOT USE THEY STEAL FOR YOU it started by a quote of 2700 it finished at 8200 do not trust ******* if he calls you hang up, he lowers the cubic square feet then he needs a deposit and puts down that you will receive a credit WITCH YOU DONT GET his discount is Manager Discount/Early Booking Discount your next call will be from *** THEN IT GOES UP TO 6200 his game is that ******* was wrong with his measurements i was on the phone for 1 hour counting things and giving measurements after all this this is where i goes down hill no discounts added if you try to cancel it will take 3 months to get money back right now down 4000 then jackson movers comes in the driver says it wrong and needs another 3000 because the cubic square feet is wrong they also charge you for Total Services (Other charges list below if applicable) they cant tell me what this is so i asked who long you been working as a mover his answer was 6 months my replay you so you know the calculations for cubic square feet just by looking his name is willy and said my stuff will be delivered in 3 days 10 days later no stuff finally on the 11 day it comes stuff BROKEN,MISSING BOXES, and driver siting there while 1 person and me take stuff off the truck THIS INDUSTRY IS NOT REGULATED AND SHOULD BE BY THE WAY 4 WEEKS LATER STILL NOT DONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES TAKE IT FROM ME I DID MY RESEARCH AND STILL GOT TAKEN CAN SOME ONE GIVE SOME HELP WITH THIS my name is ***** ******

   Bait and switch

   Got a quote from United choice movers who are a broker not the company who moved me. I gave them a complete list of my items and they quoted me 500 cf at a cost of $4000 requiring a non refundable $1800 upfront. A second person called to confirm the item list and again said 500cf. The actual moving company on the day of the move showed up and said 1000cf and the cost will now be double. So either this broker is fraudulent or they can’t estimate/ do their jobs very well. Either way they should be avoided.

    Not a good choice

    This company asked me for 5 grand on top of the 10 grand they quoted me. I had already given a 5 thousand deposits and we were told we would lose our money if we didn’t pay another 5 thousand. They said we couldn’t have the whole 26 foot truck they promised unless we paid that and on top of that they asked for cash upfront before they would even load the truck. We told them to stick to the contract and they left. We have been told they won’t give our money back and that if we go to our bank for fraud protection they will charge us 2,000 and legal fees. This is a scam.
