Tipping is a separate choice and should not be how a disposal charge gets paid in cash at the gate. Keep the junk off the moving inventory so it cannot be billed later as transported goods.

Donation receipts are part of the money, not a souvenir. Ask the charity for a receipt the day they pick up, with a plain description of the items. How to run it and who to book
