   Concorde Van Lines

   AVOID THESE PROFESSIONA SCAMMERS!! In May 2022, we contracted with Concorde Vanlines for a "not-to-exceed" estimate of $6939 for a comprehensive move. On the day of the move (6/23/22), Essential Movers LLC, the contracted carrier, arrived and immediately began to increase the cubic feet of the move. I then tried to work with them and have them measure on the truck the exact space for the 1333 cf I had reserved. They provided me the measurements, but the space they marked off was for less than 750 cf. I was then told by Concorde that Concorde had canceled the contract (or the carrier canceled the load) and would not rebook. I immediately got on the phone and began planning for a rental moving truck (Penske) and a driver and hired people to load and move our belongings. Concorde sent me a new contract with a price of over $12,500 and asked me to sign. I refused. I told them I did not want to rebook, unless they could complete my move for a total of $11,500. I was told in no uncertain terms that this could/would not be done. I refused to sign the contract and/or rebook. Via email, I requested a refund of my down payment of $3758. I was told that because “they rebooked me,” I could not get a refund. I have written them several emails explaining everything, and they still refuse to refund. I have, in good faith, complied fully with the contract, but Concorde refuses to discuss the matter in good faith.

   Lost and broken items.

   Regarding my several broken items and lost or stolen 37in. flat screen t.v. during my move from fl. back to ct. in jan. of 2015. still waiting for the settlement check which I should have gotten 6 weeks ago. your movers that delivered my items were very rude and demanded rest of money even before they took my items off the truck. spoke Russian the whole time. just very,very rude. I will never recommend this co. to anyone. my order# for claim is 523423. please resolve this matter as soon as possible. thank you j. spata.

   Avoid at all costs.

   Omg what a nightmare so far and they just got here. They are tacking on charges by the hour. Nobody from billing or customer service will contact us back. One flight of stairs is considered 10 steps which we were not told so they are trying to charge an additional 130 dollars on top of the fees I've already paid for the extra flights. We were hung up on 5 times when trying to resolve this issue. Will update review if I get my [EDI][ at all and hopefully there aren't any damages. 1 hour later and another 300 tacked on for wrapping our furniture which should have been included in the quote. Just arrived in Miami from Virginia. While on the highway the movers called me wanting half the payment before delivery. I was told in the beginning that I could pay with a postal money order, cash, or credit/debit card. I proceeded to give them my card number and they stated that they couldn't take my card as a form of payment. They were really rude and stated that I could send a money order or bank to bank wire transfer. It's been over a week and I still don't have my [EDIT].

   PLEASE!! Do not use this company.

   One of the worst experiences of my life. Amanda Becker sold me on using this company. I called her numerous times to ask specific questions and she told me what I needed to hear. I booked with them. It was all lies. The amount quoted doubled and when I tried to call her on the next business day, she no longer would take my calls. Caller ID. I was told my items would be delivered 3-5 days later. Didn't happen. Customer service told me that it could be up to 21 days!! And my items were in a warehouse in NJ. Long story short, I finally received the items 27 days after pickup. They were dented, broken, stained and items missing. The movers on both ends were rude, angry and had horrible attitudes. I ended up calling the police at the end. PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING THIS COMPANY. GOOGLE COMPLAINTS, THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FAKE.
