   Good Customer Service

   DBM did an excellent job handling our move. There were a few communication errors between the carrier and my wife but after a quick phone call to Clinton at DBM he got right on the line with them and resolved the issue on the spot. I really respect these guys and the level of professionalism of the DBM team.

   My instincts served me right! I almost went with a different company but luckily I read their reviews before I ended up picking Dougherty Brothers instead. This is a real top notch group!

   TERRIBLE / WORSE AND FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE

   I was planning for a small and simple. They never affirm that they were brokers until they assigned Affordable and Assertive mover (the worse of the worse). I lost a bike valued in 8KUS$ and a TV valued in 3KUS$. Dougherty and A&A were never able to provide a answer as to what happened with my items. The insurance was fake. Please do not make business with these guys. Save you time and stress.

   Unbelievably bad

   DO NOT USE THIS FRAUD COMPANY. I called them with an urgent need to move across the country and was given an estimate that was within my means. I then gave them a deposit of $700 and was called sometime later to get a specific inventory and my final cost, which was over 250% higher than the original estimate. This was financially impossible for me and I had no choice but to cancel. They have now refused to refund my deposit because of their flimsy and corrupt business practices (you only have 72 hours to cancel, even if you don't have all the information needed in that time in order to cancel). They do not care. Do not use them and go elsewhere.

   Horrible Experience

   If I could give zero stars I would. I booked my move with Dougherty Brothers in early June for an end of July move. They called me numerous times (an annoying amount of times) to re-confirm my inventory. One week before my move I was asked to provide measurements for common items (dresser drawer, couch, table) and also removed items from my move list that I decided not to take with me. I was informed the Friday before my move that now my estimate was increasing $500 (because of the size of my items, even AFTER removing several large items from the list.) When I asked for a clearer explanation on the increase in costs, the moving associate was rude and argumentative. I had a terrible feeling about the move going forward but since I was since I was days away I felt I was stuck with the company. The day before my move was scheduled, I was called and called the carrier cancelled and there was nothing they could do to help me. So I have been forced to find another carrier (funny, I was able to find one same day but the moving broker couldn't) When I asked when my $2000.00 deposit would be refunded, I was told they couldn't give me that information but to email a generic info email address. When I asked for a billing phone number I was told there was none. Horrible and stressful experience during an already stressful period. I suggest looking elsewhere for your moving needs.

   Stay Away from these brokers

   They are just brokers and the moving company they assign for moving is fraud. I lost my Samsung Qled 55 inch tv and they offered me $75 for my $999 tv.

   WORST move ever in our 56 years of marriage! We've moved 17 times. In mid July, we contacted Doughtery Bros regarding the above move. From initial contact up to the moving date, we communicated by phone, emails and photos to determine the best/accurate estimated total cubic feet/weight. At no point in time did Doughtery Bros enter our home to view the contents. The initial estimate was $6,600 for the move and $425 for monthly storage. A few days before the move, their estimate was revised to approximately $10,500 and storage $700 per month. Doughtery Bros then contracted with "Moving Mania Inc" to do the actual move on 08/26/21. Moving Manias' crew chief immediately inventoried the contents and then called his boss to discuss his findings. Their concern was that the truck they brought would not be large enough. I spoke with Leo, the boss and the crew chief regarding their concern and they concluded that all would fit in the truck so the move would continue. "What choice did we have, the experts said it could be done!?" Some additional packing costs was agreed to and now the total cost would be $11,830.00 and $1,200 per month storage!!! GUESS WHAT!?The truck was not large enough and they had to come back for an additional $1,530.00!! It is now obvious, Moving Mania Inc never kept Dougherty in the loop and being elderly we were focused on the moving taking place that day. When the fog of the move cleared, we called Doughtery Bros and asked to be remimbursed for the additional $1,530.00 for the second truck! They did the Pontius Pilot bit and washed their hands!!! The fact that we went from $6,600 for the move and $450 per month storage to $13,300 ($1,200 1st month storage and $900 for a few days the following month). Two many "RED FLAGS" which have been documented will be turned over to the following government agencies Bureau of Households & Services, IRS, FMCSA and Fl Dept of Agriculture and Customer Services.

    A Nightmarish Horror of a Move

    Dougherty Brothers: 1) divided our belongings between two small trucks loaded on two different days; 2) overcharged us without justification; 3) did not produce any inventory of our belongings that were loaded onto the truck; 4) “forgot the paperwork for the move at the warehouse” the second day of the move; 5) refused to allow us to speak with anyone at Dougherty Brothers aside from one customer service representative; 6) broke and damaged nearly every item of furniture that was in any way delicate that we had paid them to wrap, protect and secure.
