   Terrible experience

   did business with this company 4 years ago when it was under a different ownership fast forward 4 years latter I solicited their services again for an out of state move. I was sent an invoice and break down of an estimate of how much the move with supplies would cost. I told the booker that I was on a tight budget and didn't want any surprises. He assured me that the final payment would be very close to the invoice submitted ehich had exhuasted all costs plus or minus an hour or two time cost due to number of hours drive to me from traffic patterns. I went ahead and made a deposit. On the day of the move the truck took 5 hours to get to my location. Jamaica NY to Maryland. I had all items boxed and ready to be loaded on the truck the movers dispatched by the company were able to get everything on the truck under 3 hours. The journey to my final destination took 4 hours. The truck which was previously ahead in the journey arrives 20 minutes after I get there because " they had to take a detour" I get to my address and I was presented with a bill 1000 dollars more than what I was initially quoted. There was now an addition for gas, tolls, tape, blankets and a few boxes used for my furniture. They put a padlock on the truck and refused to offload unless I paid the extra 1000. I called and spoke to the owner about discontent in being misled. He was extremely rude and told me" I don't care" his movers would take my belongings to Jamaica new York and I could get another truck to come pick them up after I had satisfied all outstanding balance plus the extra 1000 dollars and they were not going to be responsible for the state of my items after they left. He would not negotiate. I gave them all I had in my account to satisfy the payment. They offloaded ruined my walls and TV stand and left boxes in my living room after expecting an extra 80 dollar tip each for three movers. This was the biggest business nightmare I have ever encountered in all of my adult life. Please please lawyer up if you will do business with this company. Do so at your own peril.

   Does not do the job right

   This company will not do the job you pay them to do. If you’re thinking about using this company just look at the damage they have caused in the to many to count 1 star reviews. This company broke and straight up lost over $2,000 worth of my personal items. They were 6 hours late to pick up and I had to ask them to not slide furniture across my wood floors. I was told my $1,000 grill that was dropped would be fully replaced by the mover but when I spoke they said they would not honor that promise but would try. They then dragged out the promise of a replacement for 2 months and then offered me a small amount of money compared to what they broke or lost to not write negative reviews. Future customers deserve to know to stay away from this incompetent and dishonest company if you value your items.

   Inflated Costs Way Beyond Original Estimate.

   This company provided an estimate of 1800 and I assumed it would go possibly to 2500 based on rates and discussions with the personnel. The final amount charged was 3869. Ridiculous! I have since filed a complaint with the Consumer Complaint division of the NYS Attorney General's office. The movers also brought boxes that contained trash that were supposed to be discarded curbside. I think this company engages in deceitful business practices and hikes the prices once your belongings are under their control. M. O'Connor

   Hugely disappointing

   Crews were late both days. Could understand for one day and traffic problems, but owner refused to dispatch the crew earlier on the second day. The crew was rude and cursed profusely. Broke four items and laughed about it. Disregarded instructions on boxes. Charged us for 45-minute lunch breaks for each team member. Charged us for wardrobe boxes and didn't put clothes in them. Went over on the estimate, even after a previous in-person inspection of the apartment. Foreman demanded a 15% tip after both days.

   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

   i used this company for two moves. One from NY to FL where I had a receipt for 34 boxes moved, among other items. They not only delivered only 30, but the paperwork they showed to the person who was in my home accepting the boxes said 30 while my paperwork in NY said 34. I arrived weeks later to discover the missing boxes. The second move was a lot worse. The movers were extremely rude and incompetent. They broke many items, including a large 3 piece wall unit and even left the interior glass shelves inside without taking them out or wrapping them. The wall unit was brought into the apt. broken in an unusable and unstable condition. When we asked them to remove the piece, they would only do it for hundreds of more dollars even though they admitted it was their fault. Also a mirror was unwrapped and broken, which they admitted was not tied to the truck, so it fell. Many items in this move were also lost and broken. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE - THEY ESTIMATE LOW AND WOULD NOT DELIVER THE ITEMS UNLESS YOU PAY THEM DOUBLE AFTER ONLY A FEW HOURS INTO THE MOVE - IN ORDER TO CONTINUE BRINGING THE ITEMS INTO THE HOME.    Horrible moving experience and Owner is very rude

   Please dont use this company. They quoted me one price then on moving day more than tripled the price. The movers were arguing and cursing at eachother and the owner was very rude. Horrible service. They broke a lot of the items and never sent me the claim forms for the broken items. I will be filing a lawsuit against them.

   Rude and bad.

   I talked to a representative named Lou from Fine Express Mover a few times about moving from NYC to Seattle. At first he appeared to be nice, but once I started to explain to him I used standard Home Depot boxes for moving, and I calculated all the sizes of each box, he got very excited and started to argue with me and insisted on all standard Home Depot boxes are 18x18x18. I was trying to tell him that Home Depot sells small, medium, large, and x-Large boxes, so there is no one-size-fit-all. He was still very agitated and went on, so I had to cut him off and said "I'm not here to argue with you. Do you want my business or not." That's when he said "Fxxx you!" and hang up. I wouldn't use this mover and would not recommend them to anyone. They should train their staff to speak with basic decency before they try to get business.

   Bad Moover.

   Very poor service lots of hidden charges. They broke the furniture. they give quote for 1 bed Apt $800 to 1000. you need to give them deposit. but when they show up, you will different ugly face. now they tell you price will be 1700 to 1800. if you disagree then they threaten you to report credit bureau and deposit will not be refund. they charge extra hour, Gas and Toll and You also have to pay them to returning their home after drop your stuff. I wish I could know this before I got ripped off. I hope this will help someone to avoid this evil before making any more damage to you and your stuff. Never recommend to anyone.

   Bad Experience. NEVER recommend.

   Fine Express moved us from Queens to Florida. We were supposed to receive our delivery a week after we moved. I understand things happen especially going long distance so our delivery was delayed about a week. I called & spoke with the owner Eli & let’s just say he doesn’t have the nicest etiquette. He is not a pleasant person to deal with. Lou who works there as well was pleasant as can be. He tried to get my move discounted because of the unpleasant experience and Eli was not budging. Our move wound up costing $1100 more than I was originally quoted. I would NEVER recommenced this moving company to anyone. Go with someone else.

    Interstate move gone wrong!

    BE AWARE ! I enter into a business transaction with Fine Express INC back in Nov of 2019. I received my moving quote from [NAME EDIT] (sales rep) to move my belongings from Newburge Ny to Houston Tx. My quote was based on the size and measurements of my two storage units I had there in NY. I was quoted $2300 witch sounds about right for a small one bedroom apartment . I accepted and proceed. I also had just started a new job in Houston and was in Houston working already. I asked if this could be taken care of without having to be in NY at the time of the pick up . I was told, no problem and that all I needed to do was send a money order in the amount of $1000 and give them another $200 on my credit card for a deposit along with my keys to the storage units and authorized the company to empty my storage unites on to there truck for the move. After receiving all that was needed they scheduled the pick up. On the day and after all my belongings were picked up and loaded onto there truck, I received a call from the movers telling me I have used a lot more space than I was quoted. Now instead of $2300 it went to $5673 . This was after they have loaded there truck will all of my belongings. I was then told that all of my belongings would go into there storge area until I paid them 70 percent of the $5673 before there delivered my belongings to Houston TX. I was not even given any opportunity before hand to agree to this kind of huge change in cost. I wasn’t even given a explanation or a itemized list of the fees I was going to have to pay for . I was at the mercy of the moving company. They had all my belongings on there truck. I wasn’t even allowed to take additional insurance, I was told it was to late since they already pick up my things I wasn’t given any option for anything except PAY. I was to say the least, DEVASTATED After hearing what I was going through, my mother wanted to help me with this cost. To get my things to me in my new home. She put $3,500 on her credit card. The company sent her the authorization forms and the recite for the charge , she filled out the form and signed for the transaction and returned to the company. When the movers arrived to Houston the balance was paid. They were paid in full! The company owner [NAME EDIT] called the driver and told them not to unload my belongings because my mother wasn’t in Houston they wanted my mothers card again . They were paid a month before they arrived and My mother lives in Portland . They refused to unload my belongings. They took my belongings and put everything into a storge unit and demanded another $3500 and $68 for the storage unit to be sent in a money order before they would lease my belongings . They were already paid ! They didn’t even tell me where my things were until the next afternoon. My mother and I both had to run and send more money to these people via money orders before they would release the storage unit. At the end of all of this ,the money orders have been sent . I still don’t have my things. If and when they release my things I will have to hire a local mover . You are out of your mind if you use this company. There [EDIT]!
