   Great Experience

   We had Leaders move us from Cincinnati to Columbus. They did a great job from initial quote to final delivery. Reliable and professional. Tyler, Leon and Adam we helpful, careful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Would definitely recommend and use again!

   We couldn't have been more pleased with our moving experience! Kevaughn and Anduray did an excellent job moving heaving furniture and protecting it in the truck from getting damaged. They were very personable and displayed such positivity on the job! We would highly recommend them and Leaders Moving & Storage Co.

   Excellent Service and Professional Workers

   I used Leaders 3 times in the last 2 months. Movers included Marvin, Stephon, Darnell, Teon, Dwight and Leon. All were excellent and took care of my very heavy bedroom sets, table/hutch set, variety of chairs, book shelves, office furniture, file cabinets and 50 boxes mainly full of heavy books. They handled my property with great care and didn’t scratch or dent a single item or wall during any of the three moves. I even referred them to a family member who had the same positive experience. I will not be using any other movers again Except for this company. Two of the workers even smelled gas, which I thought I was smelling. Sure enough, I had a small gas leak from a new gas line put in my home just days before. They even noticed that and said something. I am very grateful for Dwight and Teon for noticing the smell. I cannot say enough good things about this company—including those who took my order and tracked my items through my phone calls as I added and deleted items to my move. THIS COMPANY IS EXCELLENT.

   Mediocre experience

   I hired Leader's for a small moving job, which was for a bookcase, a washer & dryer, a loveseat, a large mirror, an armoire, and a buffet table. I was originally quoted $465 for a local, in town move. After being able to move a few of the items myself, I asked Leaders to update my quote to remove the bookcase and the mirror. The quote had only changed by not even $50 which was a surpise considering I was taking even less items than originally thought. I spoke with Jason on the phone to ask if that price included having my items wrapped and he confirmed that yes, that includes the stretch wrap. I agreed to hire them because I felt like my items would be in much better care than if I had gone another route of having things done through Uhaul & their moving service (which would have been half the cost.) On moving day, I was given a 2-4pm window. The movers showed up with 5 minutes to spare until the end of that window, and began moving the items out of my apartment without stretch wrapping. The only item that was stretch wrapped was the armoire, which surprised me considering I have some more detailed pieces with moulding/trim on them that are fragile. The sole reason I hired this company was so that my items would be handled with more care than some Joe Schmoe off the street from Uhaul. If I would have known that only one thing would've gotten wrapped, I would have gone with another option entirely. Instead, I paid $423 to have my items moved from point A to point B with no protection. When the movers arrived to the final location, rather than walking on the gravel pathway to my door, they instead walked through our living willow fence. They also didn't take direction very well since they insisted on removing items from behind a doorway in order to make more space, when we told them that there was a door stop there and it couldn't open any further. They disregarded that, and proceeded to move our trash can and compost bin, which scattered liquid all over the floor. They also scratched the paint off the doorway into one of the bedrooms as they scraped one of my items through the door. Again, if things were wrapped, this wouldn't have happened. Overall, it just wasn't the exceptional service I was expecting from other reviews. I reached out to Leaders before writing this review so I could discuss my experience. I was given blanket apologies for my experience by Sean and told that he'd reach out to management to give me a call within the next day. When management called, it was more of the same "I personally apologize" but also focusing on the fact that he was really surprised to hear my less-than-raving feedback because of how "good this particular crew of guys is." He kept mentioning that he was "glad that none of my items were damaged" which gave me a "but did you die, bro?" vibe and it felt like my concerns weren't valid. When I brought up my main concern that we had spoken about my items including stretch wrap, Jason changed his story and said that their standard procedure is to allow for the mover's to stretch wrap things at their discretion. He apologized for the miscommunication and offered to put in a claim for the scraped off paint on the doorway. I chuckled at that suggestion because in order to put in a damages claim with this company, you have to pay a $100 deductible. Jason offered to waive that deductible, but that solution wasn't satisfactory to me. Why would I trust this company to have a vendor come out to my home to repair some paint on the walls when I could just do that myself, and make sure it's done right? Itt doesn't feel like Leaders had anything more than a shallow apology to offer. At the end of the day I paid twice more than I could have for mediocre service. I'm glad I only had a few items to move, as I would not trust their level of integrity with a larger or out of state move. Hire this company if you want to be overcharged for mediocre service and then gaslit when you have any concerns about the job being less than stellar.

   Horrible move damaging items & home - This two day local move resulted in broken, lost, and damaged furniture and damage to the home I was moving from. The piano was jammed into part of the concrete sidewalk and steps, causing the wood and lacquer to buckle. An end table disappeared, and I discovered a broken oscillating fan (hidden?) under my Christmas tree in the basement. A queen size bed apparently encountered trauma in the move so would no longer reassemble "square." My daughter's bed was reassembled using only half of the screws/hardware available. I found the other half on the floor the next morning, and what was put in was not even finger tight. I had to completely reassemble it and was just lucky she didn't get hurt. They left foot long gouges in the stairway drywall (some completely going through the drywall so that you can see light through) while moving a sofa out of the basement. They skipped the coat closet and the stored items in part of the basement so that my husband had to move them himself with the minivan. (Apparently at least one mover was running late to meet his girlfriend (which is why he was texting her multiple times). Perhaps this may explain some of the other issues?) About 25% of the boxes were put in the wrong room as movers carried 2 boxes at a time and delivered them both to the same place regardless of how they were marked. Now at a month past the move, I have yet to even be contacted by the vendor assigned to repair the drywall, despite my requests for speed since the house is currently on the market. However, I was informed by a Leaders claims representative that their idea of the repair plan apparently involves patching the drywall and then "color matching" paint rather than painting everything that is continuous. (Because matching white paints is super easy and that "just one wall freshly painted" look is going to seem so normal to prospective buyers?!) Leaders refunded $235 for the work that was skipped and to attempt to generate good will, but as the repair process drags on and seems destined to fall short of making things as good as they were before, it comes nowhere close to making up for this move.

   Horrible Moving Company

   Absolutely horrible experience with this moving company and would not recommend to anyone. We had a small move that was local, and when they arrived at our new home they notified us that the leg to our headboard cracked off in transport. This was clearly due to their movers not properly strapping down the headboard prior to transport. The movers then explained that the bed would not be repairable and did not leave it with us (like their company policy states).The claims department is awful and tried to have my bed sent in to get repaired, to which the owner said himself would not be structurally sound. I have been going back and forth with them for weeks just for them to lowball me on the amount they would pay to replace it. Try at your own risk, but this company hires inexperienced movers who will damage your items.

   Hire if you want to get robbed

   My grandparents were moving recently and hired this company. One of the movers tried to steal my grandmother’s prescription and later stole cash and her ATM card out of her purse. He even went so far as to call her bank and changed her account password and the address associated with her card!! I’m sure not all of their employers are like this, but be wary! This is atrocious and I hate to think about how many other people’s lives this criminal has effected.

    HORRIBLE OFFICE MANAGEMENT

    I see a lot of feedback about the movers but my issue is with the company. They treat their staff like trash. The office manager is completely unprofessional in her treatment of their staff and it’s no wonder they aren’t showing up to work happy and healthy. Definitely need a new office manager. If you have any question about choosing this moving company and have any care for workers rights and the labor rights movement- absolutely do not hire this company.
