   We are very happy with our moving. It was a breeze. Thank you Cate B. for straightforward and clear estimate. Thank you Sheree for organizing final details and arrangements. And big Thank you to golden moving team: Brett M., Freddy V., and Jevae W. You guys rock. Not a scratch on the walls in both residents. Clean floors, courteous and efficient. The cherry on top was the final bill it was lesser than anticipated because guys were able to finish job earlier.

   Forget about making claims

   We hired company to move us approx. 160 miles late Jan/24. Moving staff very countess After move, found many, many minor scratches, and dents in wooden furnature. As well minor breakage. But we could live with these minor poor handling of furnature. If you have had a major move before, getting settled takes time. We unpacked all major electronic & glass moved items. Everthing looked O.K., but hidden damage takes time to discover. It took us 10 days to mount and install a 70 in. T.V.(not a simple install). They unpacked the T.V. from what was supposed to be a secure packaging. NOT SO! Exterior appearance showed NO screen.damage. It was not until we plugged it in, we discovered concealed what appeared to be a spider-webb broken screen. Probably a dropped box or a major blow. Called on a Saturday to report damage, but they were closed. Left message to have call to place a claim on the follwing Monday. Monday came and went with no call from Mackie. Phoned again Tuesday, enquired about filing a claim, someone would have call us back. Later same day, our initial rep. did call but had to refer to claims dept. It took her a day to respond, stating because it took 2 weeks to make a claim, they would do NOTHING. I wrote back, stating not 2 weeks, but ONLY 10 days, and explained our normal moving of a house, and some renaturing's are not a priority to install. ZEROW response IF YOU NEED A MOVER, DO NOT USE MACKIE!

   Discrimination against Disabled Senior Woman

   Please be advised That Norm Mackie of Mackie Moving Discriminates against Disabled people...I am a legally disabled senior woman whom Norm Mackie Refused to help me and move me...in fact he was so rude to me on the phone even tho Mackie's moved & stored my furniture 5 years Prior and they were paid in full...his behaviour towards me was disgraceful & down right shameful... especially after Ross Mackie said anything you need we will be there for you.! I have spent most of my life Recommending Mackies and brought many high profile Moves to Mackies ..In closing please don't use this moving company if you are a disabled person they are not what they advised....thank you!!!

   Worst experience I ever had.

   This company has the worst customer service. The office staff has an attitude, they never get back to you on time. They don't honour their quote and when its time to pay they charge you more. They disrespect you as a customer and hold you responsible for their bad behaviours and mistakes. I will never use this company again or recommend them to anyone.

   Avoid at ALL costs.

   We were supposed to get a drier installed over a month ago. Each say the delivery was scheduled, we waited around all day and nothing arrived. We discovered (through home depot, who we ordered the driver from, since Mackie never returned ANY of our calls.) that one of the times, the driver brought the appliance to the wrong address, then called the wrong phone number. We are STILL waiting for the drier. The owner has taken the time to reply to my negative reviews, but not to actually respond to any of my 6 voicemails. NOBODY answers their phones there, there is ZERO accountability. And EVERYONE seems to have these problems with them. They do deliveries for Home Depot in toronto. Do not order appliances from Home Depot here or you'll be put through the same mess.

   Stay away from this company at any cost.

   This is the worst moving company I ever dealt with and I can compare Mackie Group (Mackie Moving Systems) with at least four other companies in Canada and the US. Their crews are most disregarded people and also they are untruth-ers. Their claim coordinator is even worse. Mackie would deliver your stuff (e.g., a washer and a dryer from Home Depot, as in my case) but a week later than initially scheduled. Do you want such a service? Then, go with Mackie. If you want your stuff delivered on time, forget about Mackie. This is certainly not the company you need. When their first crew came, they did not bring my washer/dryer to my house because, as they said, I did not separate washer and dryer from pedestals. I immediately called HD and was told I don't need to do it and that none did it ever. The crew left with my washer and dryer. I separated washer and dryer from their pedestals myself. The second crew came a week later (i.e., two weeks after I bought the washer/dryer) and complained that I was not at home (!) when the 1st crew came a week earlier! If you want to deal with such untruth-ers, you need to call Mackie. The washer/dryer was lifted to the 2nd floor and installed. The wall to which the stairs is attached was totally damaged (through touching it by crew's shoulders, elbows and even by heads (!)). It needs a serious repair before could be painted. All work would cost me at least $1K because the wall is about 6-m long and is the same for two levels. My laundry room needs to be painted also after Mackie. I filed a complaint, sent dozens of photos to HD; HD contacted Mackie, etc. Do you think Mackie apologized and repaired my walls? Its Claim Coordinator wrote, "The marks on the walls going up the staircase would be very difficult to make when the crew is holding onto the unit and trying to get up the stairs – it would be difficult for the unit to scrap against the wall." If you are still planning to deal with Mackie, don't be surprised when you will write here a similar review.

   Move.

   Hired what I thought was a reputable mover, wow was I wrong! The movers were great it was everything after. I had a fair amount of damage done, the move was not an easy one so I wasn't too concerned until I saw my TV was crushed on the edge. Emailed the company and it took them over a week to respond. Was told they will not cover the TV as it took me 16 days to report it. I have read a reputable company will allow up to 60 days! Not Mackie! They are willing to hire someone to come and fix the damages (hope he can fix a TV) but not cover the TV. Worst experience ever! Filed complaint with BBB! Definitely never use this company! Its so true that one bad apple spoils the whole bunch, right Cheryl? Oh yea and lets not forget the stuff that was left behind!

   Consumer beware.

   I would never use these folks and would strongly suggest you avoid them. They were paid to professionally pack and move my household. When the items arrived at my new location I was advised the broken glass in my office unit was my problem. I also was missing two major components to two of my items and was told I must have misplaced them and they accepted no responsibility. After weeks of me searching everywhere they notified me that they did find one of the items in their warehouse! No apology and no attempt to reconcile for my time and frustration. The second item was never located and is irreplaceable on a very expensive unit. Although a couple of the movers were professional most of them were rude and inappropriate. All workers were disgruntled and clearly lacked any respect for management. Not the kind of vibe you want in your home. In my situation management accepted no responsibility, in fact they tried to place fault on me, and places ZERO value on customer relations. I'm not sure who is better or worse but I would avoid these folks at all costs. Consumer beware!
