   Move from NY to CT - best possible experience.

   We just moved from NY to CT, a large move involving many fragile items such as computers, artwork, and a piano. Marvin and his crew from Moishe’s did a fantastic job. The basics: 1) they showed up on time 2) they were all business in the best sense, working fast and efficiently 3) they were friendly and easy to work with, which is important in a move lasting a good part of the day 4) they helped pack items which we did not have boxes for 5) they expertly organized our moving items on their truck, a move involving two locations (apt and storage facility). I honestly can’t imagine a better experience. Unpacking, everything is in excellent, undamaged condition. We heartily recommend Moishe’s - thank you guys. PS) Move is within US, not sure why post says "International" - looks like site bug.

   Terrible experience & customer service. Zero accountability

   Do not use Moishe’s. A one-bedroom move TWO BLOCKS AWAY, from a second floor to a second floor, somehow took 7 hours. Of the three movers, only one seemed to know what he was doing. I literally watched another struggle to fold a rug. Worse, they mishandled my jewelry cabinet so badly that everything inside was thrown into a pile at the bottom, damaging a pair of expensive earrings. Moishe’s acknowledges that their crew moved the cabinet but denied my damage claim because they “cannot determine” the condition of the earrings beforehand. Seven hours, an inexperienced crew, damaged belongings, and then zero accountability. I would never use them again.

   Understaffed, breaking items, no concern for anything, even after referring them to several friends after good experiences with the local moves around NYC. Awful. They were about to leave all of our items unsupervised on the sidewalk, and leave the apartment gate open. We had to act as security. This tired, understaffed team was not what I paid for.

   Horrible

   Horrible experience. Will never use again. 1. Moishes broke and lost several items, including the centerpiece of a $3k murphy bed that went missing. I was offered $300 in compensation. 2. They upsold me unnecessarily on a storage unit. The moving guys told me there was tons of empty space and weren't sure why I was paying for that size. 3. They delivered other people's things to me. In the extra space they sold me, they were apparently storing other people's things. Shady company. Do not recommend.

   Moishes

   Moishes movers stole my golf clubs worth $2,438 in early June 2022 during my move and reimbursed me $100 in October 2022 for the stolen clubs. I was patient with them and hopeful that they would return my golf clubs. Do not hire Moishes. They are snakes, and online reviews will confirm that sentiment.    Be very afraid

   Damage inflicted by the packers, movers and unpackers is so severe and widespread that I can’t begin to enumerate the specifics here. I am traumatized. Glass-framed art, porcelain figurines, a mid-1800s table, a large and expensive ceramic lamp, an art pottery sculpture that I have coddled for 25 years…Please trust me when I tell you that each new day brings anger and sadness at the destruction wrought by these movers. The protection given each item was virtually nil. My furniture was wrapped in plastic, not padding. When they unpacked everything, not in my presence, I walked into a 3-foot-high miasma that was impossible to scale. The bathroom, kitchen and bed were completely blocked. There was nowhere to put my feet so I crawled. A new team was dispatched to tryTo undo the horrorBut I still have three icebergs of buried housewares, pictures, you name it. I’ve refused to play their head games with a claims process for which I’m supposed to “weigh” my damaged goods. It so happens that I do not have a scale on which to put my chipped Victorian washstand, gouged hand-painted book case, crushed Russian samovar or petite porcelain objects. I’m going to try my luck with NYC’s Small Claims Court.

   Worst moving company ever. Stay away

   Used them for moving from NJ to TX. And had the worst of experiences. Their handling of your belongings is pathetic to say the least. They do not bother about anything. Broke my new bed, which was worth over $750, and when I filed a claim, they said they can only pay $50 based on the weight of the bed. What a joke!! 80% of my boxes which were all brand new were all ripped apart and were completely unusable after the move. Stay away from them. They are dishonest. There are many companies that would charge a bit more than what these crooks would charge, but that would save you from trouble later on. Do yourself a favor and look for someone else.

   Like the last reviewer, move was supposed to start at 8am, they finally arrived at 6pm. The company fed us some lies about a broken elevator and the men who did the job (lovely guys) told us a completely different story as they didn’t even start the job till 3pm! They then hit us with a full charge (but told us we would get a discount) as they require a pre authorization on your credit card. NEVER EVER TRUST THEM

    Crooks and slobs

    Used Moishe's moving to move from NJ to NC. When I called on the day of my scheduled delivery, Moishe's had "lost track of" the truck holding all of my home's contents and it took two days for them to discover it was sitting in their lot in NY. The contents of my home arrived a week later than expected resulting in me needing to stay in a hotel. When my goods arrived in NC, the driver had hired a bunch of workers hired off of craigslist to unload the truck. The workers arrived at my house before the truck and just hung out waiting.... They were not professional movers. Needless to say, lamps, collectibles, and furniture were destroyed and broken as they were dropped off the back of the truck by inexperienced day laborers. The walls in the stairwell of my new home were banged up and scuffed and the storm door was broken by the movers. When I contacted Moishe's, radio silence. I had to go through my homeowners insurance to get any reimbursement on goods, which was less than it cost to repair/replace- and less my deductible. When I contacted Moishe's regarding my deductible, they laughably offered next to nothing. Would avoid this company
