   Moving

   I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this company. This is the 2nd time I used your company to move. I cannot say enough about Ray G, Steven M, & Delton. It was a difficult long move. They worked for 7 hours & had very heavy items to move. They took extra time to see where I wanted the pieces. I moved on May 13th. Sorry it took me so long to write this review. Thank you!    Very Professional.

   We used Morse Moving to relocate from Lake Orion to Portage. We recently retired and bought a smaller ranch house. Our days of moving ourselves is long gone. So glad we allowed a professional moving company to do the hard work for us. Our salesperson, Emily Weeks, was very helpful and showed us how to safely pack fragile items. The job estimate was very close to our final cost. That's not easy for a larger house. We also had items in storage that she was able to add into the estimate. She stayed in touch and so did the home office. On the day of the move, Mark and his crew (Mike, Reed, Jake, Jacob, Royce and David)were professional, prompt and caring. They started on time and finished early. These guys make sense out of chaos. They are polite, calm and patient. They covered floors, walls and wrapped furniture. I have larger furniture and they skillfully maneuvered the larger pieces up and down tight stairs, turns and small doorways into this smaller home. Never damaged anything. They secured loose items and kept hardware safe and organized. They didn't leave before we were happy with furniture and box placement. I would recommend Morse to anyone. Well worth the money we spent for a first rate job. Thank you Emily and Mark and all those behind the scenes. You made our move easy. We cannot thank you enough.

   After using Morse Movers and Chris and his crew, we were so pleased that we tried to request the same crew for my boyfriends move. We couldn't get them but Ray, CJ and Zach did a great job. It was fast, inexpensive and they were very polite. I would highly recommend them. Jan G.

   Unbelievably horrific

   The worst possible moving experience. After signing the contract based off of promises and timelines this company completely disregarded any verbal confirmation and then would dismiss, redirect, lie, omit, avoid, and become aggressive. This treatment continues repeatedly and if there’s a response to this review it will more than likely be more of the same and a great look into what you will be dealing with if you hire them. Aside from never being on time, ability to follow directions, deliveries weeks later than promised and a complete lack of coordination; if you call with a question or concern you are met with aggression and gaslighting. For example you will call with a concern only to be told I’m not dealing with you. Then you’re transferred to customer service without asking. You will be waiting for a resolution that will never come. Moving is stressful and this kind treatment is unacceptable especially to a disabled female veteran. When I was dealing with Sonia from customer service and informed her of this she ultimately condoned this kind of treatment and defended it. She told me she and the manager did not see anything wrong with this. All this which I have proof and they could not produce any on their end. They wouldn’t even apologize. This is truly what they must think of customers and also veterans. These are facts of which can be proven as well everything in this review. Next they require two payments one upon pickup and one upon delivery. They give estimates for these. Before pick up or drop off they give a final price different from the estimate to be paid. This is expected and normal. Days later they call and ask for more money in an unexplained charge along with a threat to withhold property if not paid because it’s their policy. Upon asking to explain these charges they couldn’t so they waited until final drop off to charge the final drop off price plus the unexplained charges on top of that price and again threatened to withhold property unless paid. After explaining to customer service (Sonia)this problem she informs me they do not give customers invoices or billing statements unless requested. When I requested them I learned they actually only produce the invoice that day when requested and could not produce any record of charges at the time they were requested to be paid. When told this is concerning because it leaves room to manipulate and charge however they want during a move and withhold property without any proof these charges are legitimate. Again their stance is this business model is completely acceptable and we promise we don’t do that. Unbelievable. So they produce an invoice weeks after the move was completed with no acceptable legitimacy. Also, Morse moving was told not to use old moving boxes located on property filled with mouse feces and spider eggs. They used them anyway and charged for them (as if they were new boxes they provided) according to the invoice they made weeks after payments were received. Again, Sonia and management find this acceptable. I can only assume this family thinks less than nothing of their customers, veterans, laws or accountability and seem to operate in a grey area. They cannot produce a single legitimate piece of evidence about any of these problems. Only that they don’t see a problem. I have to think there’s a reason for such vague evasive business practices and I don’t think it’s a good one. Also, I have email correspondence and records of service so they cannot say they have no record of this move.

   Horrible claims process

   I recently used Morse on a $30,000 interstate move. Our goods were in storage for seven months and given all the transfers that had to take place it was not a surprise that we had about $1,500 in damaged and missing goods. Most of the damaged goods were repairable. Morse advised that I had to fill out a claim form for each damaged item and that missing items could only be reimbursed if the absence was noted at the time of delivery, which is a near impossibility. I did fill out the claim forms, which were tedious, and was finally contacted by a representative requesting valuation on several items for which I had no information and, because the many of the items were repairable, value was irrelevant anyway. Nevertheless, instead of just sending a furniture repair person (as has been my experience with moving companies in the past) I was told I needed to provide individual appraisals on things like $60 lamps Then, in 30 to 60, days an adjuster would be sent out. I finally gave up on the third-party insurance administer and advised the representatives that I had been dealing with at Morse that I was requesting that Morse take financial responsibility for the loss and damage. That request was met with silence. Whenever funds were due from me, they needed to be wire transferred the same day or charged in advance to a credit card. When the shoe was on the other foot, that timely attention to detail was not reciprocated. There are plenty of moving companies available. I encourage you to chose one that will stand behind its work and accept responsibility for the miscues that will inevitably happen in this business.

   Damaged furniture- Horrible claims process

   Move out went well. Move in was another story. Damaged furniture and table legs installed incorrectly. 3 months later and we still haven’t resolved the claims process for the damaged furniture. Claims manager and Vice President do not follow up and ignore emails. Next steps are to file a complaint with the better business bureau and other agencies. This company went from what would have been a 5 star rating to 1 star. I can not believe their lack of customer service or concern about their performance.

   I wouldn’t use this company . Unprofessional , start to finish . One or two of the moving crew tried but they were seemingly untrained and led by someone with a poor attitude . Avoid .

   Overall Experience

   Do not trust this company! They have a bait and switch sales pitch and do not trust the customer over their drivers. We were told the more you packed, the price would come down. I packed 5 rooms and guess what.... the price didn't move one cent. They don't send enough packers to execute the move so you end up packing more to ensure your move is finalized before you have to be out. Then on the other end, when they damage your stuff and buy their insurance, they don't send an independent adjuster out to investigate, they just take their drivers word over yours. If you value your belongings, do not hire this company! Movers beware!!

    Constantly rescheduling and unreliable

    I can't believe that I have to post this about a company my friends and family have used before with great success... I would not trust Morse moving with your move if you want a stress free move. They have cancelled on me 3 times now less than 2 hours before their arrival after I took time off to accommodate their overs heckling themselves even though I booked this well I've a month ago. I'm beyond frustrated with their lack of professionalism and urgency as they have put me in a situation where I am going to be financially losing more money by the day in fees for not being out of my prior home. I have a sign contact they have now breeched and they refuse to discuss what they are going to do to fix it. The owner is on vacation and can't be bothered with these issues at the moment and even though they created this mess, the won't work on Sunday to correct it.
