   Horrible Company

   Do not use this company!!!! I had a horrible, nightmare experience with them. They quoted me a price and then when the packers finished, they tacked on another $3,000.00! They damaged literally every piece of furniture I own, some of which was beyond repair. They stole a new lawnmower, a miter saw, a Roku stick and a musical instrument. They are nothing but lazy thieves.

   Unreliable, Fake, Scam Moving from Chicago to NYC

   Connected with this company through All moving USA (turns out they brokered me with them). Initial quote was for a third of the price that it ended up being (yes - a 1 bedroom move from Chicago to NYC for ~9k!!!). This is no where near the actual cost of a move from Chicago to NYC, everything was packed. I needed things picked up THAT DAY otherwise I would have searched elsewhere. Company rep initially informed me that my items would arrive as early as the 21st. A week later, there is still no arrival date set and absolutely no update on where my items are, and every call is met with an "I'm not sure when it'll come, but you signed a contract stating that we had up to 21 business days, not including weekends and holidays to deliver your items." (This also apparently includes random holidays that are neither state or federally observed). Customer service unhelpful and as I cannot take a day off with less than a 24-hour notice due to the nature of my job. But frustratingly enough, they cannot even update me on where my things are at this moment. Wish I had gone with another company but had no choice.

   Absolute Garbage Company!! Complete Scam!!

   Absolute garbage company. Complete scam. Got duped by another scam company, ALLIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE (https://www.yelp.com/biz/alliance-moving-and-storage-deerfield-beach), who use the same name as a reputable moving company out of Chicago, but is actually out of Florida, who brokered Moving Depot to move our stuff from Chicago to Houston, then lost several boxes along the way, which included items that ARE NOT REPLACEABLE, NOR ARE THEY SOMETHING THAT MONEY CAN FIX. We also received boxes that are not ours, including a huge box full of some poor kid's toys, which have still not been picked back up since we reported it to them back in May. They couldn't be bothered to check when we first told them some items were missing and gave them photos and missing tag numbers with descriptions of the items and containers. THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS!!! Got hung up on today because I called just before their closing time on the east coast (I'm central time and didn't know this, thinking they were out of Chicago). I was told by the woman that she didn't have time for me to reprimand her about a move that was back in April (this is written on 9/24) on a Friday afternoon....BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE! I told the woman that there were things that we NEEDED, that they had lost, and she just replied "You shouldn't have packed them" but then couldn't wait to get off the phone when I said "Well maybe ya'll should do a better job and not lose stuff in the first place." DO NOT GIVE THESE SCUMBAGS YOUR MONEY OR POSSESSIONS! DO NOT LET A SLIMY MOVING BROKER CON YOU INTO THINKING THEY ARE A REPUTABLE COMPANY, WHO WILL THEN HAVE MOVING DEPOT SCREW IT ALL UP AND LOSE ITEMS YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK, ONLY TO HIDE BEHIND "CLAIMS". They won't give your possessions a second thought, because they don't have to! They will repeat "claims" until you take a payout or give up.

   Items picked up April 9 and not delivered until Aug.4 - that’s almost 4 months and only after threat of legal action. Moving Depot subcontracts, and contractor for my job subcontracted out to another 1 man operation and he eventually stopped responding to my inquiries about delivery. After 20+ emails with Moving Depot they gave me his phone # and told me to contact him ( seems to me that is their job ) and that was a nightmare. In the beginning he told me a couple times belongings on truck, then in Albuquerque, then Yuma and would let me know. Didn’t happen . My move was from Indiana to Scottsdale,Az. Moving Depot was not helpful or interested in my dilemma. Contacted the company that hired him and had to threaten legal action and theft before anything done. My belongings were delivered at 9:30pm to an apartment complex. The elusive driver who had lied to me,was the one to deliver by himself and not the least bit contrite or communicative and when I asked him why it took so long, he just shrugged shoulders and said “ I’m just the driver “, like he had nothing to do with delivery schedules. Moving Depot communications were rude, not the least helpful and then just gave me a # and their job was done and no further communications. Besides my belongings, 3 boxes belonging to someone else were left with me and now trying to find out what to do with those thru company that subcontracted to my driver. Several of my boxes damaged, some kind of liquid spill on boxes and a dresser wood damaged. Advised Moving Depot April 16 of new address and move in date of May 3 - then it was a waiting game and trying to get an answer, which was an ongoing battle for the next 4 months. Horrible experience and more horrible people to deal with. Pay extra and hire a reputable moving company!

   Do not use!! This company is a scam. I had a contract through Alliance Vanlines, then this turns out to be the company moving things. I had to renegotiate my moving cost, I was charged for things I was told previously I would not be charged for in my Alliance contract, and my delivery date was extended from my original contract. Their customer service is so unhelpful. I had broken items and missing items, as well as I received items that weren’t mine. I filed a claim, but they haven’t even tried to find my missing items or responded to the claim. Terrible business.

   DO NOT EVER CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY! This was the worst moving experience I've ever had after 4 interstate moves over the last 7 years! First of all, I specified a service that guaranteed delivery date and that never happened, so I ended up paying an extra $2000 in hotel charges while waiting for my furniture to show up for 10 days, which was half of the cost of the move itself. I could've just bought all new furniture with that money! Then, when it finally arrived, several large items either damaged or straight up missing due to lack of care in the packing and transport process. Now it's been 2 months later and I still haven't gotten any information about getting credit for several large and expensive lost/damaged items after going through the utterly ridiculous claim filing process, after which I was given a laughingly low reimbursement amount of $45 dollars. After losing or breaking over $500 of my stuff, they can't even have the decency to just reimburse my for the $300 amount based on the insurance level I selected. And even funnier, one of their customer service representatives think it's some sort of consolation to tell me "it's not my fault, I don't decide the claim amount, you have to take it up with them." What a joke of a company, don't know how on earth they stay in business! TERRIBLE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

   Buyer Beware - Stolen / Missing Items.

   ZERO STARS. We moved cross-country with Moving Depot. The order took 3 weeks to arrive, with poor customer service in between. We are missing 7 items of substantial value, and had 3 items damaged to the point of not being usable. We also received items not belonging to us, which I noticed after I fortunately opened up the box. When I said this to the L.A.-based mover from Professional Moving Company who unloaded our items from the truck, he said that this mix-up of people's belongings "has happened during our last few moves." I asked them to remove the items, and when doing so they also took an item that did belong to me - but it was broken (a glass table top to a coffee table). I caught this as he was bringing the item to the truck, and fear he was taking it because he did not want me to see it had broken. The mover also stated that many items had been broken during their last few moves. The movers were also unwilling to dissemble our couch (it comes apart into two pieces, we have moved with it several times), and therefore did not bring it into our apartment. They instead told me I'd have to leave it on the sidewalk to sell it. We reached a compromise to put it in the driveway, but now I will need to hire another mover to bring up the couch. When I complained about the service, the movers would not let me replace the cash I had given them with a cashier's check. I was told I still had to pay the full amount, even though I did not receive many of my most valuable items and the couch was not brought to the apartment. They offered no recourse, saying I'd have to bring it up to dispatch. They also made a racist comment about the workers from dispatch, which I found offensive. Missing items: large wood dining room table, half of our wood entertainment system, large flat screen TV, Peloton bicycle, king-sized mattress, guitar Damaged items: Stainless steel trash can, glass top for a side table, serving bowl.

   Unprofessional don’t trust them.

   They lost 12 large box’s a heavy cast iron antique sowing Machine worth 2k or more ,charged 200+ $ more to professionally pack a antiques Grand father clock that should have clued me in to cancel the move.They didn’t pack it just put on the truck as it was. My sisters hired them foolishly with out reading all their negative reviews and F rating with the BBB better business Bureau. They made hear fill out a stack of paper work for them to keep her occupied and out of their way while loading the truck. Unfortunately I couldn’t be there with her when the movers came. Then when delivered in Idaho,they threatened to leave our stuff out side of the front door of our heated uhaul storage unit if she didn’t give them more money. They insisted on taking the only cash she had on here to unload the truck and put it in our storage. No wonder theyAre a cash n run only business that doesn’t take credit cards. I think this company has more law suits then moving experience. A month now since my sister has heard nothing from these movers about we’re-our lost our stolen items are !anything of value mysteriously disappeared.

    Horrible Moving Company.

    I would give it a 0 star if possible. This was by far the worst nightmare moving experience with these people. They quote one price and then after picking up your home they say they will pack it and mark it but they don’t. They take your home bagged, boxed or however and they stack it upside down, heavy boxes on top of lighter things, your stuff will get scraped, banged up and they don’t care if it gets broken or if it is missing. Both on the phone & in person they are very rude. They then farm out again to drivers who may or may not speak English. They completely freaked out and almost ran away when we were taking pictures for proof of delivery and payment. We were told to do this for proof we paid. They also won’t unload the truck until you pay them completely up front, before they unload. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. The driver won’t lift a finger, he wouldn’t help unload. Only 2 people showed up even though we were promised 3. We were promised we wouldn’t have to help as my husband is medically unable to, yet when they started to unload he was expected to do it all. We didn’t even know who was coming, or the name of the company to review them prior to the move as the BROKER set it up and then both parties acted like they didn’t know the other company! Moving Depot held our house hostage until we agreed to pay almost DOUBLE the quoted amount. Every single one of our boxes, and many items were broke, many boxes were dented or ripped and 4 were missing. We had only 3 legs to our bed. The quality of the move was extremely poor. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They will take your money and you will be locked in with them until you pay them an amount they make up (and yes, it was negotiated, not actual). They pick up your stuff, take it to a warehouse, unload it in a hurry, then reload days later after all new negotiations are done and then reload into another truck and then bring to you, weeks later. UHAUL is best and safest. If you want it done right, safe and not lost or broke, use your family or friends or young school athletes and pay them yourself! Worst experience in my life.
