   Broken items and added $2000 to the bill

   When they came to my house on a Sunday I was told that it would be an additional $2000 in addition to the $4000 I had been quoted. Kept my items for 2 weeks then some were broken when they did arrive. The settlement was $60 on a 40 year old cedar chest. They also broke an end table and gave me the wrong legs to my TV. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. Told me if I left a good tip they wouldn’t add any more charges. Horrible service.

   Worst movers I’ve ever used, and I’ve moved a lot. Ocean showed up late, had no packing supplies, scratched, broke, ruined almost everything I own. They charged me an additional $2k over the quote I received from the ‘broker’ I mistakenly used. Lessons learned: Ask if you’re working directly with the moving company or with a broker. And if they give you a quote without first coming to your residence, find another mover.

   Scam!

   It’s a scam! They promise you things over the phone, but switch things up in the contract. Make sure to read all the fine print and don’t expect your delivery to be there until weeks after your delivery date. Stay away from like the plague. It is disgusting how they do business.

   Thieves!

   This company was subcontracted by Moving Direct to unload our household goods from the truck into our apartment in Largo, FL. They STOLE all of my "good" jewelry -- $25,00 worth. I reported this to the police, who called to ask for the names of the three men who did the unloading, and the company will not return the police's calls. They were very clever in the way they fooled us. I never would have suspected them.Do not use them! They clearly plan to steal from you! I am 71 and will never be able to replace any of the special things I had planned to leave to my daughters. They stuffed the jewelry in their pockets and left with it. I even tipped them $80 each! They will not, of course, return my calls

   shady movers with less than stellar reputation

   Ocean Moving and Storage masquerades as a legitimate businesses. Customer service reps are rude, lousy, lying employees. That forge signatures on contracts. Below is a article that defines the owner Itai Carmels reputation. Google his name there are a lot! South Florida Moving Company and Owner Assessed $275,000 for Deceptive Practices U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida issued a final judgement as to liability and order of stipulated permanent injunction against Itai Carmel and his company, Ocean Moving & Storage Corp (Ocean Moving). The judgment ordered Carmel and Ocean Moving to pay $175,000 in civil penalties and restitution, as well as $100,000 in legal fees and costs. DOT-OIG and the Consumer Protection Division of the Florida Attorney General’s Office conducted the investigation that led to the Federal civil filing.

   Believe the negative reviews

   I can't event choose a no star rating - Missing sofa, broken edges of coffee table, destroyed dining room chairs, destroyed deep freeze, missing clothing to include leather coat, the list goes on and on and the insurance company is bogus as well, after all that was reported, a settlement letter of $80 was offered. STAY AWAY!

   Worst ever huge scam

   Tore all the legs off of every table I own. Never put them back together and just left all of my furniture in shambles in new place. Told me it was my fault for them not having a bigger truck so they left more than half my items behind. I’m 78 yrs old and very ill. I counted on them helping me. Left tons of garbage in the driveway. For three thousand dollars for a local move I expect way more. I’m going to Crimea against seniors if I do not get a call and compensated for this horrible service. DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS. They sent only one man and he did not set anything up and literally called my new place a horrible dump very rude and did not put anything together for me. Oh did I mention I was quailed differently?

   HORRIBLE COMPANY

   Suppose I could rate a lower than a one star I would. Would you please do your research before choosing this company? The movers packed and took things I did not want them to take, which I got only half of them back. I paid over $5k. I immediately reached out to the driver to advise of my missing boxes and was told we delivered what was on the truck. Please keep looking, or you will regret it.

   Worst Experience EVER.

   Took over two days just to get a delivery ETA. Why? Because they kept saying they were coming, then canceling. The guys and the organizer - Mike. Were chauvinistic, condescending, jerks. Fine. You can be that way to me - but to my 71yr old Mother??? Nope. I will forever tell people (near and far) never to use them. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!

    Worst moving experience ever-DO NOT uses this company

    I first got a quote from a company called American Standard moving-and storage Who took my down payment, quoted me lower and then subcontracted me to a company based in Florida for my long distance move from Florida to Colorado. Tried calling this company to talk to someone about Ocean company and Jason Fraser couldn’t even give me the courtesy to call me back(left several messages) don’t use them either! Had I known they weregoing to do that I would’ve done a review on this aweful company...ocean moving and storage. The office(Sherry)was rude as well as the drivers. Didn’t explain up front that the truck that we watched get loaded was going down to Miami to be loaded into another truck. Took longer but when we finally heard from the driver he told me the time of delivery then they changed it several times. My son works and he was expecting the truck between 5 and 7pm then they changed to 3 then they called at 8 am saying they were 20 minutes out. They then delivered things that weren’t ours and we ended up missing a Kirby vacuum cleaner not sure if someone else got it or they kept it. Thennnn they wanted to charge an additional 300 for a weight on the truck in the residential area where my son lives. Thank goodness my Son is a smart young man he challenged the driver and drove to where the truck was. There was no weight restriction at all! I paid way too much for this move using this company...way over priced especially due to The unprofessional office workers down to the drivers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I rate them 0!
