RUN AWAY! seriously, I'm convinced their reviews are fake

Loadrans aka Rapid Moving company markets itself as a "full service moving carrier." The company is fraudulent. They hired a "transport company" to deliver my belongings who arrived at my new place at 9:45 pm, extorted me for an additional $650 dollars to open the truck and then refused to reassemble my furniture or help to move items inside until I essentially bribed craigslist "movers" who showed up with this delivery guy. Clearly no one had experience moving and were not prepared to unload a house full of furniture. They dropped my couch which blew a fairly significant hole in my drywall and door frames/trim work were more than scuffed up by boxes/furniture being dragged along them. I have sent an email to the company expressing my concerns/compaints and have gotten no response. I since have filed a report with the FMCSA and an insurance claim for the damage. I also was initially quote $5,500 for the move and my final move cost was $13,600 (before extortion). Save yourself a giant headache and go with someone else!

    No call and No show

I have used Rapid Moving Co. for the last three years for my moves around Southern California. And each year their service has gotten worse to the point where I will no longer give them my business. The first time I used them was in 2019, it was a good experience. Fast forward to 2020 when I needed to move my stuff out of my apartment and into storage. They were over a half hour late to the job which was frustrating but at least they called me and told me they were running late, apparently their truck was having issues. They eventually showed up and the team of movers took their sweet precious time moving my belongings into the truck, with one mover constantly stopping to scroll through his phone or call someone or text someone. It was infuriating to say the least as with almost all moving companies, you pay by the hour, and this guy apparently desperately needed my money so he felt the need to drag the day out as long as possible so he could take care of his personal business. The drive to the storage unit was further than their 10 miles, so it had double drive time attached to the move. During the drive over, the truck apparently broke down. Two and a half hours later, the truck finally shows up, the little dude who was taking care of the paperwork, took one hour off for me (seriously?!?!!!); at the end, I paid for the move, grabbed my paperwork and moved on. At home, I looked over the paperwork and noticed that he miscalculated the time and overcharged me by a half hour. At $129 per hour, that was a decent amount of money, and I paid in cash to get that $129 price point so there was no refunding me that could occur. After my anger, I carried on with my life. Fast forward to 2021, I’m moving my stuff out of storage back into my apartment. I was hesitant about using them again, but I told the rep about my previous issues and asked that the movers be courteous, not on their phones and that the truck be in good working condition. On Monday, August 16th, was my appointment date with an arrival between 8am and 10am confirmed. At 10am exactly, when no one had shown up yet, I started calling their 888 number. For over an hour, all I got was a busy signal. I tried calling the rep’s direct number and left multiple messages, I tried emailing the rep, I tried emailing my previous rep. Finally at around 11:30, the 888 number rang through! But no one picked up and I got placed into a voicemail box that was full and I couldn’t leave a message (seriously?!?!!!!) Finally at around 12:30, I gave up and decided to go home as I needed to pick my son up from school. At 1:30pm, after 5 and a half hours of WAITING (because you’re waiting at 8am, since they’ll still charge YOU, even if you’re not ready…because you’re wasting their time); I FINALLY get a call from the dispatcher to tell me that they were having issues with the truck and that they needed to postpone to tomorrow. WHAT?!?!!! You call me NOW to tell me that the truck isn’t working and you need to postpone to tomorrow?!! You should have called me THE MOMENT you knew you would be able to make it by 10am. Not THREE HOURS AFTER THE ARRIVAL TIME FRAME. I have never dealt with such unprofessional individuals in my entire life, who in their right mind thinks it’s okay to call a customer three and a half hours AFTER the job is supposed to have started. YOU KNEW BY 9AM that you wouldn’t be able to make it to Ventura from Los Angeles in time for MY MOVE, and yet, you did nothing. You didn’t call me, you didn’t care, you pretty much just told me that you don’t care about my REPEAT business and that I can go F’ myself. So anyone thinking that they might want to use this company because their price is better than a lot of other companies, don’t risk it! My review isn’t the only one notating a no call/no show, and they did that to a repeat customer, imagine how they’ll treat you……

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

This company quoted my daughter $2650 to move based on an exact inventory of boxes and furniture since she was already completely packed. When the movers showed up to load her items, they told her it she would need to give them $1000 more. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL MOVERS!!!!

Do NOT use this company to move your propery

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR PROPERTY. I hired the Rapid moving company a few months ago to help move me and my GF into our new apartment. We explained thoroughly what needed to be moved and the locations as well. The movers showed up in a uhaul truck with a couple of screw drivers which was extremely sketchy to me. They got off to a great start but it was time to disassemble my girlfriend's bed, everything turned into a disaster. One of the guys stepped out of the apt. and left the other guy to take down the bed. The guy tried to disassemble a heavy Queen size murphy bed (the ones that flips up into the wall) by himself and the bed collapsed and shattered into pieces. Not only did the man break the bed but he hurt himself as well. He apologized a bunch of times and reassured us that we would be compensated for the bed. They also damaged other pieces of property; the bed was just the most expensive piece. The job was supposed to take 6-7 hours to complete, but because they dint have the proper tools and were getting tired because they admit-tingly were inexperienced, it took nearly 11 hours! It would have taken even longer but I decided to start moving the furniture myself because they were moving entirely too slow. At the end of the night the manager came to us and tried to put the blame on us for letting him attempt to take the bed down! How were we supposed to know that he was incompetent and would tear apart our property? Fast forward to the present, we have had several talks with management and they REFUSE to compensate us for the damaged property. I am currently seeking to sue the company for damages. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR PROPERTY.

No Show - Called Me 3 1/2 Later.

Hired them to move me 15 minutes away. The scheduled time was between 8am and 10am. I got up at 6:30am to be ready along with my boys. It was an easy move, furniture only, since I took everything to the other apartment ahead of time. Ten o'clock AM came and no movers. I called the company at 11am and was able to reach someone after 30 minutes of trying. The lady said she was reaching out to dispatch. OK..I had emailed my rep and he was out of the office, but also reached out to dispatch. There was a delay. OK..11:40am..Nothing..Called aga. She said dispatch will call in 20 minutes. Nothing.. I called back and she reached out again. He would call me. Nothing.. My son went to work and a neighbor that would have helped left at 12pm. I went to rent a truck and as I pulled up to U-Haul, the dispatcher called. It's 1:30pm! He apologized, when I told him that he's 3 1/2 hrs late. He said that he forgot to call me. When I asked if he forgot about his customer, he then says no he didn't. Something was wrong with the truck and they were using 3rd parties. He said that he wanted to make sure he had someone setup. I told him that it would have been courteous to call and inform the customer what's going on instead of leaving them hanging for almost 3 hours. He said that he could have someone there in an hour. I passed and got my U-Haul and three people to help me. I had to ensure that I was moved out today. I would NOT recommend doing business with this company EVER! Highly unprofessional and horrible service.
