   It was remarkable to work with them. They are very prompt, kind and helpful movers. They were cooperative of sharing truck for friend's move and still was capable to complete the move of two homes within 5hrs. This is the best service I have seen. Very affordable and great value. Recommended.

   multi move plus storage a nightmare.

   The packing crew showed up 5 hours late, we were moving 1/2 of a 4 bedroom home to a local address in Houston. We worked way into the night to get that done. 1/2 of the furniture was to be stored in Nevada for a move to a new home. They stored it in Houston without our knowledge. No transparency about storage fees (they would not even give an estimate). We had one flight of stairs (included). They told us after the fact that a flight of stairs = 7 steps. had to pay more for the stairs. Delivery in Nevada was scheduled for August 21. They kept extending the date, calling and saying 3-4 days. There was no consideration for the customers time or inconvenience. Finally we get a call that it will be delivered on Sept. 1 (labor day). They show up and spent two hours on paperwork, telling us the remainder must be paid in cash or money order (labor Day) Even though we had paid the deposit upon pickup with a check they would NOT accept a check. They were basically holding our furniture hostage. After running all over town trying to find someone on a holiday to give us a money order we paid in Cash, Money order and Zell. ONLY then would they start unpacking our belongings. The unloading crew was very good and worked well after they got the green light. After reading the service costs of other reviews I am wondering how our Service cost was so expensive. ($6,277. upon pickup and packing paid by check. $6,277 upon delivery, paid by cash, and wait for it. $4,918. storage fee for 5 months of storage.) Would not recommend. There was no transparency, customer service was not acceptable and I felt like they held my belongings hostage. This was the worst moving experience I have ever encountered. 4 bedroom home. 1/2 moved local 1/2 moved to Nevada. Service cost plus storage $17,472. outrageous.

   Zero Communication

   My mother paid to ship some of her things to Alaska. The entire time we had 0 communication from the shipper and 0 idea where the stuff was. They never answered the phone, never called back, and would only speak to the third party company they were hired through. Took 45 days to get here and didn't even get a call before delivery.

   Terrible move

   DO NOT USE THEM! My TV was taken by them as well as various other small items which were 'missing'. There were lots of hidden fees that they were not up front about. They more or less held my things hostage on their van until I paid said hidden fees. Customer service was horrible. I called wanting to know where my things were and the person on the other end was incredibly rude and short with me. Do NOT use this moving company.

   Nightmare Move!!!

   I was assigned this mover through iMoving, a moving broker, and boy, am I sorry I went with them. I was told by the broker that I would receive professional packing and unpacking for my move. I didn't receive either! My move was supposed to take place over two days, one to pack and the second to move. However, as my move-out window drew closer, they told me they were going to do everything on one day, which was a shock! I told them I didn't think that would work, but they left me no choice, and because they waited until a few days before the move to confirm the date, I couldn't find another mover! The 4 guys who showed up were polite, but none of them spoke English very well, so communicating or giving instructions to them was a nightmare! It appeared to me that they were not professional, experienced movers because of the way they were loading things on the truck. This led to damaged furniture and a couple of crushed boxes with items inside crushed. And, their idea of packing was to dump items into a box! I had office supplies that were literally just dumped loose into the box! Then, as it got later in the day, they told me that the truck was "almost full" and they wouldn't be able to get everything, so they'd need to make a second trip, for which they charged me half again of the original quoted price, even though it was only going to be a quarter full!! Again, I was told that if I didn't agree to pay right then, they would just deliver the partial load and leave! So I was essentially blackmailed into paying, since I had to be out of the house that day. What a SCAM!! When they arrived at the house with the first load, they just started bringing boxes into the house, and since almost nothing was labeled, they just put everthing in the first room they came to. Then, without unpacking things, they left to get the rest of the items, leaving me there with one of the 4 guys to start unpacking, UNPACKING which I had PAID for! So after a short time, the mover who was there left to help the other 3 finish up. By the time they returned, it was after 9 pm, and they still had all the appliances to bring in. They were supposed to put the washer and dryer in the laundry room, but said "they couldn't get it in without taking off the door jamb, which they weren't allowed to do", so they left them in the garage. (On a side note, I had to pay another moving company - a good one this time!) to move them in, and they were able to do it without removing any of the door frame, which just shows how unprofessional and inexperienced they were!! And, it cost me another $600! on top of the extra charge from Rushmore!) By the time they finally got everything at my new location, it was after 10 pm, and there were so many boxes in the house you could barely move around! They ended up leaving the garage full of boxes, and clearly did NOT unpack everything as they were contracted to do! The next day, as I worked to get enough space to move around so I could unpack, I found several damaged items, scratched furniture, dents in my refrigerator and washing machine, and, as I mentioned, a box that had been crushed, so several ceramic canisters were crushed. Whatever you do, DON'T use iMoving.com and certainly not Rushmore Van Lines!! You'll only end up with a fiasco, and the claims process is so convoluted that I'm sure most people give up before finishing it - I know I did!! I did file a complaint with my State's Consumer Protection Agency, though. I hope to get some assistance from them at some point.

   It's been 16 days and the company refuses to communicate or give us any information as to when our items will be delivered. DO NOT USE THEM unless you want to pay a fortune for zero communication and terrible customer service.

   Run don't walk

   DO NOT USE Rushmore Van Lines. Their communication and customer service is extremely poor. I am still waiting for my furniture to be delivered to the final destination after more than a month in "transit". I have no update as to when the furniture will arrive and every time I call, I get an attitude and no clear cut answer to the delivery date. This is most certainly the worst experience I have ever encountered with a moving company.

   Be wary

   I want to write this due to our experience with Rushmore van lines. This is a long story but it is verifiable with pictures and recordings. The pickup was problematic as the price quoted was not correct. I can understand small deviations but we reported sizes and boxes. On pickup the demand was 7k more. Upon the move coming into town we were told by Safe Shipping that everything was set and there were no other fees beyond our owed payment (this was recorded with the confirmation coming from Kyle with safe shipping). Their carrier then came to town and stated he was going to charge another 2k because of how the truck was loaded he could not get things out f the back (this was a recorded call with the driver). We called safe shipping and provided the audio. They confirmed there were no fees and delivery would be tomorrow. The driver then came to the house and shined a light into the windows at 11pm causing my wife to have a panic attack as this driver was aggressive on the earlier call. Around 430am he then called my phone line and woke me up. This was to again demand 2k. The driver arrived and started to have the items unloaded at 1130am. The driver told the workers to stop at this point and help our items hostage unless we paid 1200 dollars. Due to his aggression towards my wife who was alone with the kids, she called the police who separated him away from her. The officer took a report to take note of the hostage situation. At this point we were forced to pay another 1200. The driver demanded we then sign a document, which my wife refused as they had damaged multiple boxes and left 8 fruit user items incomplete missing screws, parts, and some were damaged. At this point he said he couldn't care less and cursed at my wife before leaving. This situation has caused my whole family extreme levels of anxiety and fear.

   Avoid Rushmore Van Lines Inc. if you care about your belongings arriving safely. If I could give Rushmore Van Lines Inc. zero stars, I would. Our move from Texas to Maryland turned into a very frustrating experience. When we booked the move, Rushmore Van Lines never told us that our belongings would be transferred between trucks and facilities multiple times. We only learned after the move had already started that our items could be handled and transferred up to four different times before reaching us. That is something customers absolutely deserve to know before hiring a company. Had we been told this upfront, we would have never chosen Rushmore Van Lines. Our delivery arrived 14 days after pickup, and the condition of many of our belongings was unacceptable. Several of our heavy-duty storage bins were crushed and cracked beyond use. These are bins that had survived four previous moves without any damage at all. After this move, some had to be thrown away because they were completely destroyed. It was obvious that our belongings had been handled very roughly during these transfers. Boxes were damaged and items inside had clearly been tossed around. When you hire a moving company to transport your personal belongings across the country, you expect them to be handled with care. That did not happen here. We took photographs documenting the damage, including the destroyed storage bins and damaged boxes. Moving is already stressful enough without having to worry about your belongings being mishandled. The lack of transparency about how many times our items would be transferred, combined with the damage that occurred, makes this an experience we would not want anyone else to go through. I strongly recommend that anyone considering Rushmore Van Lines ask very detailed questions before trusting them with your belongings. Or better yet, don’t trust them at all.

    Nightmare company - do not hire

    An incredibly untrustworthy company that conducts itself wrongfully. My experience with Rushmore Van Lines was nothing but negative as I’ve experienced some combination of fraud, theft, or negligence from their operation. It is advised not to hire them, but if you do please understand the risks outlined below. Upon delivery 8 out of 11 pieces of furniture came damaged. Scratched wood, broken cabinet legs, missing parts, shattered glass. Worst of all however was 3 entire boxes never arrived. They simply vanished, as after repeated calls to the carrier they claim they can’t find them anywhere. They claim they checked the trucks, the warehouse, even other customers to ensure it wasn’t delivered to the wrong address. And yet as of this writing it has been over 2 months and my possessions have simply vanished. From the outset of this issue Rushmore repeated the same recommendation to file a claim, knowing that this claim would compensate me for a fraction of the value of my possessions and absolve them of any negligence or other wrongdoing. So despite being paid in full the job was never completed, my possessions disappeared, and Rushmore shows no concern for their negligence in the handling of my property.
