   Very Impressed

   I am completely delighted with the service from Schumacher Cargo Logistics. Though there were a few hiccups along the way, everything worked out and I received my full shipment from New York, USA to Brittany, France. First, the company was very patient in the way that I submitted payment. Secondly, Customs wanted to add fees. One of the required documents from Schumacher was a Visa which I wasn’t getting so the shipment went under my husband’s name as he has been a resident of France for the past year and a half. Since it was over a year that we sent our items from the US, Customs thought this shipment was going to be for profit. However, Lorinda, on the French side, went beyond the call of duty and put the shipment under my name (I have only been in France for a few months) and saved the day. Thirdly, yes, there were additional fees for the shipment as the sales person can only guesstimate what you are sending. My square footage was more than estimated and I had to pay extra. Moves are very costly even if you are not shipping across the seas! Fourthly, our delivery team were very respectful and careful bringing in all the boxes and furniture. I highly recommend this company and will use them again as I still have a few things in the States. Thank you! JoAnne

   Los Angeles to Switzerland - 15 Weeks

   We moved from LA to Geneva in 2018. I was told in email, by phone, and in person that the move would take "7-8 weeks, door to door." Our stuff was picked up Aug 14, delivered 15 weeks later on Nov 29. That's double the time they told us it would take. Why a review now? I'm moving back, and looking at all these moving companies brought memories of the experience. I feel that 3 stars is being generous.

   Overall not a good experience

   We moved our household possessions from San Francisco to Sydney Australia in 2021. We had a 40ft container and paid around $16K. Due to the logistics issues it ended up taking 6 months, but that wasn't the issue. When we finally received our things there was a lot of damage to valuable furniture, and even a lounge chair lost completely. Schumacher were uninterested in trying to locate the lost chair and then the insurance short changed us on the payment for the damage and lost chair. You just pay attention to the inventory and also make a careful list of all boxes that are sent. We still suspect that some boxes never made it and will not know for sure until we completely unpack. Very disappointed in the very poor level of care and packing of our possessions. Schumacher were not the cheapest, so I would definitely not recommend them.

   Christopher Licalsi is terrible

   Christopher Licalsi is a terrible representative of this company. He's pushy, rude and inconsiderate. He talks like a slimy used car salesman. The rest of the team and their corresponding teams are fine. Chris is the reason I won't be using this company for my future moves. Hope he gets his act together!

   Shipping vehicles from USA to UK SCAMMERS hidden charges!

   Avoid these scammers pls as I have used this company to ship a container load of cars from the USA to the UK. I was given a quote and everything was paid for in full in advance. It took them ages before the container was finally shipped. When the container finally arrived it was held “hostage” at their selected clearing agent until a made up charge of nearly $4000.00 was paid (more than the shipping quote). They give you a quote at the beginning but at the end you pay double, more than the legitimate companies. They hold your stuff until you pay and if you don’t pay they charge you additional “storage fees”. Pirates avoid at all cost.

   These people are awful - do not use them.

   HORRIBLE company - RUN If I could leave -5 stars I would. This company is beyond awful. They are impossible to talk with and are incredibly arrogant when you have any issues. They did the bait and switch on us too about shipping space and extra charges. Like others here, we had expensive tools stolen. When we tried to make a claim on insurance for damages and missing items we were told it would not be covered and we couldn't make a claim. Getting anyone to respond to our concerns was impossible and required incessant emailing. Then 10 months after the shipping process we get a surprise bill for an insurance policy we were not allowed to use. Because I don't trust them, I went around them and tried to get confirmation from the "insurance company" that we ever even had a policy. They, after consulting with Schumacher, said they could not discuss the matter with us and refused to tell me whether they policy had even been paid for. I cannot begin to tell you how bad these people are. I also notice that their Google reviews are turned off - THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT. Why would the old Google reviews be 4.7, but here it is really low?? That should tell you everything you need to know.

   Totally Incompetent - CEO, Martin Baker’s word means nothing

   I hope people read these reviews and not the ones on their site that give them a 4.5. That’s a joke. They have been dishonest, gave me wrong customs information that ended up costing me thousands of dollars, I have broken items that weren’t even wrapped, I have irreplaceable items that never arrived. What a mess. But, worst of all, the CEO, Martin Baker, who said I should only communicate with him, won’t even reply. It’s been 10 days now. He treats me like I’m invisible. I believe it’s because I’m a middle-aged female. He thinks by avoiding me I’ll just disappear.

   Just confirming what most people wrote here about the poor service offered by this company. We moved from Singapore and were assigned Schumacher as the US based mover. This means that the moving company we engaged with, APAC Relocation, deflected all responsibilities for US operations. Customer service at Schumacher is terrible. I had to keep chasing them for every piece of information and sometimes the moving manager refused to provide any update! To confirm what other people mentioned: 1) Final costs vs actual cost did not match. we paid 500 USD more out of debatable expenses. 2) Delivery time information completely unreliable. 3) Very fast at asking for payments but incredibly slow at providing information if any. Do not choose this company for any kind of business or make sure it is not assigned to you from another operator.

   US to UK House Move

   I can only confirm what so many others here have said: 1) Quoted costs vs actual costs will not line up. In my case what I ended up paying was more than double what I was quoted. 2) What was sold as an "all inclusive" total price ended up not "all inclusive" and I had to pay additional fees/charges for the shipment on the back end of the trip. 3) While the staff at Schumacher were very responsive when it came to their paperwork and getting paid, they were consistently unable to provide clear communication on the timings of my actual sea freight shipment. 4) The total time to complete the move was abysmal. What was sold as a 12 week or better door to door move ended up taking over 10 months!!! To be clear, I had submitted all paperwork up front and in time with their requirements and the move was from the USA to the UK so not unusual.

    PLEASE DO NOT UTILISE SCHUMACHER SERVICES

    Terrible communication, extremely poor customer service, postponement of shipment and delays in delivery, especially for individual customers. I paid $2800 since July 13th, my merchandise arrived in early October and released immediately. I haven’t received my package until this very moment which is Dec 7th. Please do not do business with this company. From 0 to 10 I would rate them -100.
