   SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM ARTISTS AT SKY VAN LINE

   DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! Sky Van Line, a carrier (US DOT #1135941), was contracted by the broker Vanity Van Line (US DOT #3316144) to pick up my belongings on July 21st from my then residence in Glendale (CA) and move them to my new residence in Baltimore (MD). My delivery window opened on the first available date of delivery of August 9th, and is about to close this coming Thursday on September 9th. I and Josh Joseph of Vanity Van Lines have been trying to get confirmation of the delivery date since the delivery window opened on August 9th. The broker & I are working together to resolve this problematic situation, as Sky Van Line is not only putting me through a horrible move but they are causing legit harm to Josh’s business. Part of the problem is that a guy named Eli was in charge at the start of this process, and now Josh has been told a guy named Jacob is in charge. Either way, I have been repeatedly hung up on and dismissed by their customer service reps as unimportant. Thus far, Sky Van Line has subjected me to over-charging and deceptive moving practices…and as of this Thursday I expect my case to turn into a breach of contract/load hostage situation.

   This is a Terrible Moving Company

   Last week Sky Van Line moved my household goods from Washington State to Nevada. Upon delivery my washer, dresser, and night stand were all severely damaged. I had paid extra for the washer to be shipped in a crate and it was still damaged. Sky Van Lines has been unwilling to work with me in a good faith effort to recompense me for the damaged items. They do not answer their phones or return calls. Communications via email are unproductive and they have ceased responding to my emails. If you are looking for a moving company do not use Sky Van Lines.

   Horrible experience, find someone else

   I couldn't have had a worse experience with this moving company. The movers showed up looking like they were hired off of the street. They packed up my items and were off. 8 days later they showed up at my new place. The driver had hired some random people to help with the move and only one showed up, leaving them very understaffed. As they began to move my furniture inside I noticed that everything that wasn't in a box was broken. My couch, TV, TV console, chairs, bikes, piano and lamp were all destroyed. It was so bad that the driver called the owner of the company and told him he had never seen anything this bad. I filled out the appropriate paperwork for the insurance and after 4 months of phone calls and emails, I was told they would reimburse me $149 for the $5,000 worth of damage they caused. Ive spent the last month emailing the company and trying to get them to pay for the damages they caused. They have taken at least a week to respond to every email. Today I was told that they would offer me $649 and that was their final offer. Please do yourself a favor and find another Moving company. They are not reliable and do not take any ownership for the damages they cause. You are better off throwing your stuff away and buying new stuff at your new location. It will save you the headache and frustration from dealing with such a horrible company.

   Unprofessional, incompetent company failed to deliver belongings.

   Sky Van Line (Mission Hills, CA) never delivered my belongings. I don't know how I could have had a worse experience. Every part of the process, from pickup, to communication, to flying down to California to retrieve my belongings myself was unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have had good experiences with every other mover I have used; Sky Van Line failed in the most basic ways on every front.
