   Great value for money!

   I got three quotes to move some furniture and personal effects from London to my daughter's home in Munich. Speedy Moves' quote was half that of the most expensive quote and I was worried that they might not do a good job. In the event, Helena at Speedy Moves handled everything efficiently and courteously and kept me informed at every stage. They handled the customs clearance themselves which kept the cost low. Overall, fantastic value for me; I couldn't be more pleased.

   SPEEDY MOVES IS BEST!

   Decided to move and called Speedy Moves. 4 gorgeous women came with boxes and packed me right up! And the whole experience felt like a party. I did not know where to start until they came in! HONESTLY it all felt so easy. They sorted me out in no time with light hearted fun around the house. Moving felt like a heaven on earth believe it or not! Use them! Thank you so much Speedy Moves! What a lovely send off!

   Friendly and economic service (UK to Netherlands)

   We moved from the UK to the Netherlands and had a lot of stuff to move (2+ bedroom house). Unlike larger removal companies, they were happy to initially discuss and assess based on inventory estimates. We opted to include the packing service, which was 'manned' by their lovely staff. The lorry drivers were Polish, and in spite of not speaking much English, we managed to communicate. They were friendly and very hard working. Note that like many other removal companies, the drivers do expect your own help with carrying things as well. In spite of some queries from the transport team, things turned out fine in the end including the time of arrival. We did need to provide some help throughout the move, but in general very friendly service and great value for money.

   Scam company avoid at all cost

   [NAME EDIT] is a big liar. They did not show up on time both at pick up and delivery. Our stuff was damaged and they lost many items. The moment they took their money they did not care anymore. Instead of 9-10 am delivery, a driver was asked last minute to drive the truck and arrived 8 pm !! We had to pay extra for him to help carry the stuff. When we followed up to ask about our lost items, they completely ignored us. Please dont fall for the lower price cause you will end up paying much more

   Stay away from these professional scammers!

   Scam company, they said our van was over weight but never provided evidence of that and charged extra £380. Then loads of items were damaged on arrival. Sent pictures and never heard back, even if in theory the load was supposed to be insured. They had said delivery would have been in a few days, but they were ignorant about the whole process and it ended up taking them 10 days to deliver our stuff. We were left with only a small bag for our baby for all those days. After we paid our deposit, they somehow saved our card details and authorized what they considered to be the balance themselves without our authorization! Stay away, these people are unprofessional movers but professional scammers!

   AVOID AT ALL COSTS

   All great until we paid half our fee..then they started trying to change our agreement (booked 3 months in advance). In short, the packing team got covid (they emailed us instead of calling). The moving team didn't show up either. We were lied to by everyone we spoke to and they actually got us to call other aspects of their business to find out they were lying. Promised to refund and pay our costs as compensation. Did refund our money but didnt for the £1700 expenses we incurred due to their incompetence as it comes out of staff wages. Totally unprofessional bunch of liars and scammers. Do not use!!!

   Unprofessional and poor service

   The removal guys themselves were lovely. But other than that the service was appalling. Helena was only interested in the money. There were delays due to Covid which would have been okay had Helena been upfront and honest, instead she lied and avoided my calls and emails. The sofa set was unprotected and filthy with indentations and marks that if covered would not have happened. They would not unload until the 2nd payment was sent and were willing to drive away with my sofas. Unprofessional and poor service. I highly recommend NOT using them

   Dear Nicky, We find your review very unfair for the following reasons: 1) We have evidence of regular contact with you. The only time we were not in touch for about two days was due to your phone being switched off. 2) Delays are to be expected with road transport, especially during a global pandemic. Furthermore, you had a part-load, meaning the van was shared with other customers to reduce the cost. We were the only company willing to take a part-load to Switzerland (regulations and costs make this extremely difficult). You were aware of this. 3) Covers were used during transport and your sofa was delivered in the exact same condition it was in when we picked it up. 4) As per the contract, payment is to be made before your move. You were allowed to pay half upon delivery but before unloading, as per our procedure. We were not willing to unload until the remaining balance was cleared because it was obvious you were trying to get away without paying. Sorry we were unable to transport your sofa for free.    Damaged our furniture!

   Speedy Moves moved our household from Germany to England between November 2020 and February 2021, our belongings were in storage with them for the 3 months. When everything arrived at our new home it was damaged and dirty; solid wood items with scratches so deep they cannot be buffed out; chips, cracks and scratches on all our beds, shelves and tables; tears in a brand new couch worth £2700! As our stay in Germany was quite short all of our furniture was less than 2 months old. I requested compensation for the damage however Speedy Moves claimed no responsibility, stating that they use other companies for the transportation and cannot offer any compensation and that the insurance that was included only covered fire, theft and damage. They apparently tried to get whatever company they hired to move our belongings to offer compensation but they too refused so I have been told that they cannot offer anything for the damage on our goods. I paid €3900 to Speedy Moves and they are not inclined to even offer the smallest compensation, using the excuse that they are a low profit company. I am absolutely appalled by this! It's completely unacceptable to me that you hire a company move your belongings and then when things are damaged they claim no responsibility or offer any compensation for the replacement and repair of your goods! Please be careful when using this company. Their motto is clearly that as long as your belonging arrive at the destination then their service is done, regardless of damage along the way!

I believe I have explained to you in great detail why that is the case and while we are not happy with the outcome there is nothing else we can do. That said, your 1 star review is unfair to say at least and upsetting for your move coordinator who has gone above and beyond to meet your every need, only to get this treatment for something that is completely out of our control. Due to unfortunate circumstances, your move did not meet our usual high standards but we have learnt from this experience to improve our services in the future.     Avoid this company!

    Avoid this company. It is not a member of any industry association that makes it open to scrutiny and redress, carry out inventories, which enables it to charge extra for goods it neglects to itemise, deliver on time and take care to avoid damage.
