   Witty Movers got the job done!

   Shout out to COREY in dispatch for consistently picking up and providing good service. AURELIO and OSCAR were AMAZING workers! Witty Movers is a moving company that gets hired by contractors. Your experience can be a hit or miss depending on your location and what moving companies are in your area. I worked with Ben at USMS. After discussing what inventory I had in my household, he gave me a quote. There was pressure to put down a deposit via check or card (5% fee). The rest of the charge is to be split 50/50. The first payment would be the day of pickup. The second payment would be on delivery. Cash or money order only on these payments. Good service from Ben, who mentioned this was a binding quote meaning it is not to exceed price even if a customer goes over their truck and storage space (this was not the case). Ben guaranteed delivery within 5-7 days (also not the case). USMS contracted Witty Movers to pack and pick up my belongings. Witty Movers came to my house on the agreed date. It didn't seem like Witty Movers aligned with USMS on the binding pricing. On top of my quote, I was charged an extra 20% for little things like having a long walkway from the truck to the high rise, additional special packing for items like my TV, etc. This was an inconvenience because the upcharge also had to be in cash. The workers didn't start until 1.5 hours later because we debated about the upcharge. I deducted a star because I didn't appreciate the unexpected upcharge (cash only), delay, last-minute notice that my belongings were going to storage vs. hitting the road to the new location, and the workers pushed my comfort level to ask for more tips after they were late, and up-charged my quote. However, they did a great job with the packing process overall. Con: Witty Movers arrived at my location 2 weeks late from my delivery upon 5-to 7 days. Delays happen, it's understandable, but have a plan to stay at an Airbnb if you have no furniture. Pro: All my furniture was in one piece and in good condition. AURELIO and OSCAR did an excellent job at assembling my furniture back together with great speed. Everything was done in 1.5 hrs!

   FRAUDS! United States Moving Services and Witty Mover

   Run…just RUN from these LYING FRAUDS! We literally experienced everything all these reviews of 1 star shared. Negative 5 stars will suffice. However, I did not see mention of all belongings being stored in a rat den that would become smothered in rat urine and feces! We had to throw away Christmas decorations that were in a plastic tote as rats chewed through everything! Price doubled to $20,000!! I shared everything we had and they estimated it would take up 2,000 cubic feet and said if we needed to ship more items we could load it on their 53’ truck…they sent a truck that barely held 1,700 cubic feet and then tried to charge me for 2,200 cubic feet in extra fees until I taught them the simple formula for volume based on the truck they sent. Needless to say, I had to fight with them to send a second truck to actually get all of the belongings we were originally quoted they could fit! Alfonse tried to talk to me like I was a child and didn’t know what I was talking about, but clearly I know business better than him as he lies just as much as he lacks math skills! He said he was waiting to send all of our things when they could send it in a big shipment with another customer who had belongings heading our way, but after three weeks of delay, and us, a family of six, living out of an ice chest, they ended up sending two separate trucks from the Penske moving company! I hope you are ashamed of yourselves and may God not bless you until you clean up your act!

   Does anyone have my stuff?

   It's been 18 months since we used this company and I am still suffering panic attacks. Mostly because we are missing some very sentimental items, some expensive jewelry, and just other stuff. We were callously told we could file a claim but the way you have to fill out these forms is ridiculous. They want the weight of items. I don't know sir, how much do YOU think my mother's ashes weighed? Anyway, taking a chance - do you have stuff that's not yours and don't know what to do with it? Most especially looking for family bible from 1954 with many mementos in it, my parents wedding rings, a stand alone jewelry box with items inside (we were so stupid to trust them), Some framed photos, A barstool nutcracker, a box of nutcrackers, some name brand purses. All this was lost on a move from MA to FL 18 months ago. Someone at the company told me that sometimes things get delivered to the wrong place and people just throw stuff out or store it away in an attic or something. So I'm taking a chance - if yu have my stuff or have seen my stuff, PLEASE contact me. Thank you. By the way, I was also overcharged after being given a much lower quote. This company is the worst.

   Avoid this company

   Avoid this company! On the day of pick up, the services, responsiveness, integrity, terms and conditions of the contract began to fall apart. Witty Movers and Delivery. had arrived and were employed by United Best Moving LLC to perform my move. Witty Movers and Delivery decided to charge an additional $873.00 for a Safe, even though it was listed on the binding agreement in writing at the bottom of the contract, which I did show to the driver. I also pointed out they only listed a $500.00 surcharge for bulky items, but the change in price was $873.00. He ignored me and stated they (Witty) have an extra surcharge for bulky items. I made multiple phone calls to Witty Movers and Delivery. At no time was a phone call ever returned to me, nor was I ever allowed to speak with a Supervisor. I started documenting everything as I no longer had trust in this company. Witty Movers and Delivery Inc.’s driver then added more charges for packing and materials $1798.00. In the end, I asked for the driver’s phone number, to which he told me he did not want to be in the middle of my problems with Witty Movers and Delivery. I remained calm and asked the driver to have his supervisor call me immediately, the driver told me that is not possible. At no time did they use boxes of their own, I had everything boxed already. The movers did use tape and blankets for the furniture and bicycles. After they finished loading everything, the driver then added more charges for additional cubic feet $562.50. I pointed out that additional fee was unnecessary since they had not been stacking everything to the roof of the moving truck. The last 6 to 8 feet of my household goods was simply placed onto the truck and not stacked and packed tightly, he replied that this was because they were returning to their warehouse and it would be stored there, but that he could look at items and tell the space requirements. They also charged me almost $1400 for a shuttle service, stating my house was in a location that big trucks could not access. I sent videos and evidence of other moving companies using my street and they ignored my responses. Never, ever did their management call me.

   Don’t trust this mover

   They damaged Tw large screens beyond repair, a beloved antique desk, and nearly all serving dishes and several settings of our antique China. Told us they had insurance to cover should there be damage. Last week, after making us week several months “in line for our claim to be processed”, their insurance company said they don’t work with them. We’re now sure there was no coverage. We plan to report the insurance company to State InsuranceCom.

   negligent - wrong item delivered - missing heirloom painting

   The actual movers were very nice. However - Once moved in I noticed I was missing boxes and a family heirloom oil painting. I notified the company that I got someone else's picture with a similar lot number - they did nothing. I sent pictures of what was missing and emails - got the run around. They wouldn't even ship the wrong picture to the correct customer! Do NOT USE

   Scam Artists

   Witty Movers and Delivery and Shlomo Dostekam are modern day pirates whose primary purpose is to hold customers property hostage for cash. They take your credit card info upon making a reservation and once they load your property they will let you know they did not run the cc and then demand cash contrary to contract. They will change the contract to support their demands for cash. Their insurance policy has been cancelled and the business is illegally run out of a residential apartment complex. If you do not acquiesce they will threaten to physically harm you and destroy or auction your property. They will threaten women but are afraid to talk to men. A few of the people employed there have long criminal records. Their organization is a front for Trucks on Call located in Washington DC. If you do not succumb to their threats they will try to get a storage fee of $300 plus. It is a self licking ice cream cone if you give into their demands and threats. You will be lucky to see your property with these clowns

   41 DAYS FOR DELIVERY, 3x COSTS, POOR COMMUNICATION

   I had a horrible experience with United Best Moving as the broker and Witty Movers and Delivery as the moving company. It took 41 days from pickup to delivery, cost 3 times the amount of the original quote, and horrible communication throughout the process. I selected United Best Moving because they provided a lower cost quote and said they could deliver within the timeframe I needed (7 days from pickup). The costs kept increasing throughout the process and the broker and moving company kept asking for more deposits. Once Witty Movers and Delivery finally arrived (2 days late), they added extra charges for stairs and $500 for a bulky item (a bed base). I was told the $500 covered the pickup and delivery portion (that was a lie). Once they had my items, I could not get any updates on the expected delivery date. The expected delivery date came and went. I could not get any information from the moving company. After four weeks, I thought I was going lose everything. Witty Movers called and said my items should be there in 3 days. They charged for a “shuttle service” which is $1 per cubic foot. and required an additional deposit. 11 days later the driver arrived at 8 pm. His company was subcontracted by Witty Movers and Delivery and has their own fees for stairs and bulky items. The local crew walked off the job at 9:30 pm. The driver had to be in another city the next morning, so the driver and I unloaded the truck ourselves. We finished shortly after midnight. If I knew the full cost upfront (3 times the original estimate) and the extended transit time (41 days), I would never have chosen United Best Moving (who did not have a BBB F-rating at the time, but they do now). I had no choice in their poor decision to hand my job over to BBB F-rated Witty Movers and Delivery.

   Lying thieves look elsewhere

   Please stay away, this business lies about delivery date, overcharges, and the nicest items were conveniently missing. My mother was dying and couldn't be there on late delivery while in hospital. They will hold your items hostage and take items they claimed were not on bill of lading.They took advantage of her kindness at pickup and built false trust. Don't do it, they don't care about breaking your things or losing them. Find a reputable mover via real Google reviews. These people are thieves and should be ashamed of their shady business practices. Absolutely horrible. The first delivery was cancelled, they made us wait hours and no one from company had the courtesy to call, we had to, so be warned. Very dishonest. My family is so upset losing her and family heirlooms :( they broke items and made excuses for everything on claim such as packed by customer, not listed on bill of lading etc if you could even read the handwriting. Not even a 1 star is deserved. Writing this is making me upset

    DIshonest and Unprofessional - Contract Means Nothing

    Took several iterations to get their move inventory to agree with the information we were providing them. They finally said that "total cubic feet was all that mattered." When we finally decided to schedule and make a down payment, suddenly the cost went from $4.00 per cubic foot to $4.50 per cubic foot. The move was from Virginia to New Mexico. Their estimate for the move was $14,500. On moving day, the boss showed up and walked through our house and said the price just went up another $10,000 after a 10-minute inspection of our house. He said we had "a lot of small boxes." Those were mostly books, packed for weight and handling. They started loading the truck on a Wednesday and told us we had to be there for delivery on Friday, even though the contract we signed had said we would be there in 7 days. We could not possibly drive 2,000 miles in 48 hours. They were using multiple drivers and driving around the clock. Then magically, the Penske rental trucks that they were using and were listed as carrying "up to 1700 cubic feet" could suddenly carry 2,000 cubic feet. In the end, the estimated move cost went from $14,500 to $25,400 and only cash or Postal Money Orders were acceptable. They would not accept a cashiers check. The doubling of cost was bad enough, but many of our heavier furniture items were damaged. Two upright pianos ended up with stuck keys because of being transported on end. A recliner would not recline because the side was crushed against the retracted foot rest. Two wooden desks were damaged and drawers broken. The damage to some of the wooden furniture would indicate that no blankets were used in transportation, or that they just drug the furniture on its side across the truck floor. Fortunately, all the boxes that we carefully packed protected the contents. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. WHAT A NIGHTMARE.
