   Moving Experience

   Big Cat Moving & Storage was by far the most professional moving company I’ve used and provided me the smoothest moving experience of any companies I’ve used in the past. They handled my entire move with care and attention to detail. They provided me with an amazing quote and superb service. I had a large, long distance with many fragile items and I’m pleased that everything was delivered safely and without any damages. The team at Big Cat was very responsive and informative as well. Highly recommend this company and thank you for your service! 10/10

   Absolutely avoid hiring Prestige Moving Group/BigCat for your move. These 5 star reviews are fake. Our experience was far from satisfactory – what started with a quoted price of $1900 and an estimated move duration of 2-5 days turned into a series of disappointments, miscommunications, and a disturbing lack of transparency. Initially, a friendly sales associate set a positive tone, but issues arose after revising our inventory list. The new quote nearly doubled, and our attempts to seek clarity were met with confusion, worsened by the termination of our initial salesperson. Promised assistance from a manager led to contact with another sales associate, claiming to be a manager. The company, despite assurances, subcontracted trucks through Expert Logistics, adding to the discrepancy between promised service and reality. The scheduled pickup time of 12-3 pm turned into a frustrating wait until 6:30 pm on a Friday, followed by a six-hour loading process. Post-loading, the cost soared to $3700, demanding half in cash, adding insult to injury. Communication breakdowns persisted, promises went unfulfilled, and attempts to seek updates resulted in verbal abuse. Discovering our belongings were in New Jersey, undisclosed to us, added to the frustration. The items then continued an inexplicable journey to Houston and Austin which was our final destination, passing through the hands of three to four different companies. Adding to the ordeal, our items were delivered 17 days after pickup, and we were met with a completely different company that demanded another $500, bringing the total move to $4200. Our experience with Prestige Moving Group was marked by misinformation, deception, and a shocking lack of customer care. We're still missing two boxes of items totaling over $2000, and several furniture pieces have sustained damage. Attempts to contact the company for information on submitting a claim or assistance have been met with silence. The lack of responsiveness has left me with no choice but to pursue a more challenging route to address these issues. This further emphasizes the distressing experience we've had with this moving company. Save your time and money – hire a different, reputable company. Do not hire this one!

   Worst People

   After trying by email, phone and text I realized that Big Cat either was a scam or closed down without even contacting its current customers. I tracked down the number of the actual drivers who picked up my stuff, since they were independent contractors, they were able to tell me where my stuff was and are also trying to contact everyone who's furniture they picked up. They found mine and are in the process of delivering it. The money I paid to Big Cat is gone but my valuables and family memorabilia is on its way.

   Gross underestimate of moving charges

   received a quote from Stephen. I said that I had a room 12x12x8 completely full, not quite to the 8 ft but defiantly over 6 feet high. When actual movers came I found out that he had estimated 500cf for my move. It was 950cf. I did the math the estimate should have been at least 936cf. I was told I would need to pay an additional $2000 when my items arrived. I also had to pay $1600 that day instead of $800. I had no choice but to go with them since I had to be out of the house in 2 days. Every time I called I would get voice mail. Noone would call me back. I finally got ahold of Stephen using a different phone. He said they did not want to overcharge me. I had said that I was on a very tight budget and only had $3000. That was a gross underestimate of the move. They were not willing to offer any kind of compensation. I asked to speak to his manager, never received a call back. I did here from Daniel the owner only because they charged my bank twice for the original deposit and I stopped payment on the second one. I told him what happened he said he would talk to Stephen and get back to me. Guess what, never heard from him again either. Left multiple messages no reply. I was not expecting the return of the $2000 but I felt I should have received something.

   I have been calling but the mailbox if full. The account manager is no longer with the company. I am panicking that I need another company, lost $ and because I signed a contract don't want them showing up last minute expecting full payment when I probably have to go with another company.

   Scam

   We were scheduled for pickup. Prepaid. We have not been contacted for our date and time. Now having to find another company since no one is returning our calls. Mailbox is full. Sadly taking advantage of the elderly since we have to move my mom by tomorrow. So can’t just hope someone will show up when we have to Fly Friday Morning. Need to follow up with your customers to ensure they are scheduled for pickup or maybe this organization is just a scam. Windy Scott
