   DO NOT USE. Initial agreement with Purple Heart for a long distance move from Michigan to NY. Purple Heart sub contract job with a third party mover. Third Party (Budget Moving & Storage, LLC - Rockville MD) arrived late (Sunday, June 23), subjected client to extreme duress during on site decisions before departing at midnight and compiled excessive up charges for 'additional' space. When asked when delivery would be, driver stated that his office would call. Move is 675 miles and at 9:30am the following day (6/24) driver called with update he would be at location that day (no way is this possible). It was communicated numerous times that delivery location was not available for three days after pick up (6/27). Budget MS LLC made decision without consultation to deliver items and store at own facility. This scam was planned the minute the movers left the initial driveway. Calls to Purple Heart and Budget MS LLC (a) unanswered or unreturned (b) given multiple stories on where exactly possessions were (c) full of lies and deceit with changing stories day to day. Eventually established a delivery date with additional $1200 for re-delivery and storage charges. When challenged with clarification on why to the additional charges, representative threatened to “turn truck around with your stuff.” Current goal to get our possessions back and then will file complaints with all moving, business and social media outlets. Both companies are practicing extortion practices from the minute a deposit is made. This scam was planned the minute the movers left the initial driveway.

   Quoted 550 - charges 1200 charge for 2 hours not worked. They charge for TAPE - it is a bait and switch company. They don't put your items back together. Leave your boxes in a pile, trash all over, rude, nasty, and lazy. Go look at the yelp reviews. You will thank us all for not hiring them.    I got scammed! I had a one bedroom apartment moved and traveled 30 miles for $800. For example I told the movers that they will have to take the door off in order to remove my sofa from the apartment. Of course they measured and try to prove me wrong. After a hour of trying to get it out of my apartment the eventually had to take the door off and proceed to take the sofa out. When my final bill came they hit me with all this extra up selling items that was not in the plan. I told the mover you wasted a lot of my time and money because I informed you how to take certain items out of the apartment by removing the door. They said they will not unload my stuff of the truck unless I pay $800. I was shocked because the original quote was for $400 and I can accept that $400 price because I didn't have a lot of stuff just boxes a sofa and mattress. The movers never broke a sweat. When I tell you the were MILKING IT that is a understatement. I almost forgot to add this in. The movers left my house 1/2 hour earlier than I did and I got to the destination 13 minutes before them. They must have taken a lunch break on my dime. In conclusion, I never been raped, but I felt like a rape victim.

   ZERO STARS- BUDGET MOVING & STORAGE DAMAGED OUR EXPENSIVE FURNITURE AND DID NOT PAY FOR THE DAMAGE-It is clear that Dinko (owner) and Martin (lead mover) are out to make money and scam customers with no care or accountability for the damage to our belongings they caused during our local move with their incompetent crew. They are the antithesis of professional and careful and did not pay for the damage that their third party claim company (Anthem) found them liable for-they never responded to emails or calls to send us the Anthem claim amount due us. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM BUDGET MOVING & STORAGE-they are a scam of a company. We are also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

   Moving performance.

   Annoyed. 1. Hard to contact-They provide you a time range but never confirm it till the last moment. You have to wait for them to contact you, it does not work the other way around. Hard to manage!! 2. Bilk-Guiles could not be avoided no matter how careful you read the contract. Furniture assembly was covered based on the contract. They told me to disassemble everything for the ease of moving. So I disassembled the furniture for the ease of their work. When it is the time to assemble, they said they would not touch the furniture that was disassembled by customers. So it turned out the money was spent for nothing. Also, the truck was shared by multiple households because they would like to save money. **Note: Be careful with the distance (each 100fts from apt to elevator costs 75usd). They tried to charge me for longer distance. Use the scales to measure to avoid cheating! 3. Bad manners. Water and snacks were provided for them and tipped as well when they loaded the boxes. They asked for the rest money before they unload the boxes and also damaged a couple of items. Snack bags were thrown everywhere by them which really ruined the move of moving into a new apartment.

   Vampires! Don't let them into your house!

   Vampires! Do not let this company into your house!! We are in the middle of a horrible standoff with this company. We hired a five-star company, Safebound Logistics, for a cross-country move, but it's been a disaster because they subcontracted with Budget Moving. Safeboung provided us a binding estimate and promised they would pack, move, and store our stuff. We did a detailed video chat with them to show them every corner of our stuff and discuss packing needs in depth. On the first day, everything was going to get packed, and the next day loaded on the truck. The movers showed up and everything seemed great. They were efficient and friendly. They kept asking if we wanted certain items packed in cardboard or not. By the end of the first day, they said they were running out of boxes and would need to come the next day. We offered to run to the store to get some more boxes, but they said they could just bring the next day. They came back the next day with the truck and started loading everything us. The foreman told us we needed to sign an amended estimate for --- wait for it ---- nearly $5000 more than the binding estimate. How could this be? All those cardboard boxes.. $25 bucks or more a pop. So when they wrapped dining table top in about 8 boxes, that was an extra $200. The bottom wrapped in cardboard, another couple hundred bucks worth of cardboard. Looking at the revised estimate closer, we realized that we weren't even talking to Safebound anymore. They had sent us a completely different company called Budget Moving, a one-star moving company with an F on BBB and tons of complaints here. All the complaints are true! Safebound had NEVER told us they were subcontracting and we never would have approved Budget. We told the Budget foreman that we would work out pricing differences with Safebound and could not sign the new terms. The foreman told us if we didn't sign they would leave 1/3 of our stuff on the curb and drive off with the rest. He knew that we were closing on our house and needed to be out the next day. I signed the new contract, but crossed off many of the bogus charges and other terms. At this point, the Budget guys became aggressive with our stuff and started throwing it around and dragging it on the floors. They completely scratched up the hardwood floors. We were so embarrassed for the new owners to see what happened to their beautiful house. I called Safebound and Budget several times that day and the next week to complain, but never got any meaningful response. When they did respond, they said they were standing by their subcontractor. They offered $1000 off the inflated price and would see if they could send someone to fix the floors. But they continued to claim we had 100 more items than in their video conference inventory, now using the subcontractors counting scheme. Over the video conference with Safebound, a King Bed was one item. Now, Budget Moving counted it as seven items - a mattress, a box spring, a frame, and four sides of the bed itself. Multiple that by every piece of furniture and it's easy to see where the "extra" 100 items come from. We are terrified they are going to keep our items hostage, or it's all going to come back busted. I will update this review when we get out stuff back. I hope it all is resolved, but I want to warn others in the meantime! Proceed with caution!

   Stay away from these bandits.

   This is a scam company operating and preying on innocent customers. Not only your charges will triple!! yest triple from the intial one, also your possessions will be destroyed and dumped in wrong places. The manager is the biggest crook and is afraid of legal athorities. I had a move 4 miles away and can say this was the worst move ever in my life. My advice is that you need to check ratings and see what other people say about them before hiring this company.

   Buyer BEWARE!

   The personality of the movers were the only bright spot of the entire experience. 1. The packing aspect is terrible. They'll put anything in close proximity in your home together in a box with minimal packing paper and wrap it up. Glass, frames, light bulbs, food, it didn't matter. If it was close, they "packed" it. Luckily, I packed the majority of my own boxes. 2. I was told by "Charles" (I think that's his name) that my vehicle would be shipped. I was also told by one of the movers that, "the truck to pick up your vehicle will be here between 2 and 3pm. They never showed. Finally, when the "packing" was over they said "Yeah, we're going to drive your vehicle to our storage facility in Maryland to be loaded on the truck for shipping". That was a lie. The whole purpose of me having it shipped was to AVOID putting 100's of miles on it and what did they do? They drove it from Charlottesville, VA to Rockville, MD and then from Rockville, MD to Florence, KY where I relocated. When asked WHY!!?? It was said "Oh, well, the transport company didn't show up and we had to drive it". This is AFTER the movers showed up to the new address! I also asked for a refund because the service wasn't performed as in the contract, it was said "Well, if you look at it, we saved you from having to wait an extra month to get it shipped". I'm sorry but, it's a scam because I don't think they planned to ship it in the first place. They came prepared to drive it from start to finish now that I replay everything in my mind. The plates were expired and there is no insurance on the vehicle so, if there was an accident or it broke down, I would've been responsible for any deaths and/or damages. I was told "We have umbrella insurance so we're good". My fiancé is in insurance and says that that's not how umbrella insurance works. I could've been on the hook for thousands of dollars in damages because of their scam. There was no communication until AFTER the vehicle pulled up to inform me it would've been driven or to ask if they could drive it. They also left the gas tank nearly empty upon arrival today! 3. I have 8 packing blankets because they never unwrapped and put together the items that they took apart. 4. There was an attempt to put the bed frame together but, on my inspection after they left, I saw that it was worse than what a 2-year old would've done. I had to pull everything out and redo it myself. This was part of their service that wasn't completed per their contract. 5. The place was left a mess after they left. Boxes scattered everywhere, tape thrown and left on the floor, trash left outside the door. 6. I asked for an agreement to review and never got it. This leads me to believe that they are really into scamming and scheming people who put their trust, time and money in them to actually do what they're paid to do. I will be requesting my $500 back for the shipping of my vehicle that never happened. I have 2 tires that are flat from the driving their movers/drivers performed without my permission. If my money is not returned I will be filing a lawsuit. My best friend is an attorney and said he will GLADLY accept the case if a refund is not processed immediately. A total scam of a company and I wouldn't trust them to move me across the street! Never again will you get my business or anyone that I know or who will read this! You should be ashamed of yourselves and your practices.

   Interstate Move.

   Please do not consider these movers. The packers did a decent job, but the movers and the company as much are pretty harsh in answering the questions. I had an interstate move and asked if the goods can be delivered on a September 4th 2017, owing to the long weekend. The person who came to check the size of the home AGREED to that and said it was POSSIBLE. That was the reason I did not approach another movers company. On the day of the move they were supposed to come early, but delayed. Did not even bother calling and informing about the delay. I had to call multiple times and finally they arrived after two hours. It's not my problem, if your guys drove the whole night and helped another move. YOU should have planned accordingly. I called on September the 2nd and the person who answered was pretty harsh and just yelled on me over the phone. Note that you were paid to do the job and did not do it free of cost. You have no right to yell on your customer. They never said that we had to pay extra fees for getting our own truck for the move. Now, on the 2nd I called and asked him whether the goods will be delivered on the 4th. He yelled stating that this is NOT A PIZZA DELIVERY. ** IT WAS YOUR GUY WHO AGRED FOR THE DATE OF DELIVERY. Then he stated that they have combined our move with others. The only reason I did not raise my voice was because our goods were still with them. Just yelling at the top pf your voice does not prove anything. You have not done any favour..we paid you to do the job. I WILL NEVER EVER CONSIDER THEM AGAIN AND ALSO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE MOVING FROM MD.

    Rip off Moving Company.

    Do not use this mover. I booked this mover and was scammed. The estimated move was to cost $693.00, They then hit you with their "materials" list for packing materials if needed, IF NEEDED. They then have you sign the materials form along with your other relevant documents and go gang busters utilizing all their packing materials at inflated costs without your consent. The move was projected to take six to eight hours and ended up being 18hrs. This was with the assistance of my bf and a contractor who I paid to assist said movers. Otherwise it would have been 24hrs as they were very incompetent. They broke furniture and hid it from me as well as lamps and accessories. The final bill was $4079!! The labor was doubled as well to $1300. The packing "materials" they used without consent totaled $1927!! They then hold your items hostage on the truck until you agree to pay the unauthorized expenses. This company is bad news.
