   Made my move easy!

   First of all I have to thank East Coast Move on their flawless execution, from initial scheduling to pickup and delivery, they were with me every step of the way. My move with East Coast came on short notice, yet their quality and expertise far surpassed my wishes and expectations. I had just gotten a new job in California but only had two weeks to be there and had no idea how I would be able to accomplish moving my family, household and myself in such a small time-frame. My moving coordinator, John was especially helpful in keeping my stress levels down as he gave me his word that they would be able to accomplish this with maximum precision, an agreement which he and East Coast definitely delivered on. I was given great tips on how our items and furniture should be packed, so what I thought would be entirely difficult was actually fairly easy thanks to this amazing moving company. I found staying in contact with John proved to be a valuable affair. I was quoted a much lower price than the two companies I previously contacted and saw some pretty good reviews on this company so of course I decided to use them as my valuables are very important to me, some of which belonged to my grandparents so the nostalgia I get from them (like grandma's old coffee table) were worth a lot more to me than their actual price. I put down a pretty small deposit and when moving day came John called me to ensure he alleviated any anxiety I was feeling (thanks John!) to keep things running smoothly. Once the moving guys loaded my things onto the truck I got my family together and we set off on our journey across the country to California. We arrived at our new residence in California just before our stuff got there so we could make sure all of our things were still in good condition (they were) as they came off the moving truck. Lo and behold, not one thing was broken which we could easily tell by the way the boxes still looked new and freshly packed as the movers unloaded the truck in an expeditious manner. I cannot say how pleased I was that none of grandma and grandpa's old things were broken or misplaced and as for all the other items, they were in A+ condition. I would definitely use East Coast Move again and recommend them to any friends or family that consult me on which moving company they should use to make sure everything gets from point A to point B, carefully. Thanks again John and East Coast Move for such a great moving experience. I start work on Monday, so wish me luck!

   These guys are truly the best. Although "Mike" didn't seem to speak English too well he was so sweet and handled my items with such care. I am recommending them to all my friends and family.

   These guys are thieves they will give you a low quote then when they get there they raise the quote and if you are a woman alone they will steal your stuff. their rating with the better business bureau is an f.

   Beware of LUKE.

   Be careful with LUKE. He did not answer my calls when I need, Movers come two days late than scheduled time and charge lot more. Delivery was delayed by 15 days. He is completely unprofessional. These are just brokers and with unreasonable behavior. If wouldn't recommend these people to anyone.

   We got a lowball quote which included a motorcycle, a 14 foot diameter trampoline, 2 full sized bed sets 6 dressers, a couch, a love seat and two arm chairs, and a 12 seat dinning room set, among many other things. The quote was for less the 4,000. The day they showed up they said the quote was wrong and it would 10,000 even though we no longer needed them to take the motorcycle, or dinning room set and quite a few other things. They were supposed to include a year of storage its in the quote (but ended up trying to charge us for 2 months of storage). We ended up spending over 13,000 to get our stuff back. They held it hostage until we paid. When it was finally delivered, half of our stuff was missing or broken, including the kids bicycles, our end tables, barstools, many plates and bowls and glassware. We were told to file an insurance claim with the company, its been 4 months and nothing. We also recieved two boxes of kids toys that are not ours, we have tried to contact the company and even have joined a Facebook page against these scammers ( East Coast Movers Are Scammers!! ) Trying to find the rightful owners of the things that were delivered by mistake. Have been told by many people that a lawsuit would be pointless, cost more than we would get back, and if we won, they could close up shop before paying us and we would be out the money.

   Horrible Experience!

   When I signed my lease at my apartment in Austin, in late October I began doing internet searches and received many emails and phone calls from moving companies. East Coast Moving and Storage was one that seemed legitimate-especially after looking into the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating! This company had even talked me out of being “scammed” by another company I was looking into. How very thoughtful of them! Their website states they are not brokers and everything from start to finish is done within their company. While I do take blame for not looking into them more, I sadly trusted BBB. They will also be receiving a letter from me and the others who’ve been wronged by this company. I spoke with my first contact James Long, who seemed very professional and forthcoming. He made everything seem easy and cut and dried. I booked with them and allowed this company to withdraw the initial deposit from my bank account and was deposited to their account on Nov 2nd. To a company named Elite Relo Service Inc. into a JP Morgan Bank. The contract was made on 10/20/2017. Also, the electronic payment was supposed to be 480.00 not 570.00. I hadn’t noticed it until recently when I was trying to compile this complaint. The first quote I got from them was only 1498.20 for 300cu. When I realized it wasn’t enough space, I updated my inventory. When I did this, I worked with Mark. He sent me a new contract. The cost went up to 3469.78 for 706cu. The pickup date was on November 6th. The white truck with M.A.D. LLC had come and loaded my belongings Although the guys were very nice and treated my things respectfully, the driver swindled more money out of me saying they needed more cu. feet to fit the rest of my things. (note that I sent them an itemized list of what I was moving and got a new binding contract from East Coast Moving and storage on November 2nd) That was after they had more than half loaded. I paid with check #1113 for another 922.61. The supposed delivery date was November 10th. I did get a call back on the 10th after I had called. I wanted to make sure they weren’t waiting for me, as I had to drive down there. I was told it may take a couple of weeks at the most. I left a couple of days later to make sure I was there when they were. After that time frame came and went- with no contact from the company, I called several more times. Most of the time speaking to an answering machine or the receptionist stating someone would call me back and update me still no call backs. I had to go to Maryland for family business on the 17th for a few days and was stressed about it coming when I wasn’t home. I told them the dates when I would be out of town . I had called them when I was there to make sure they got the message because this company has not had good communication with me after I gave them the money. When I called from Maryland, the guy I spoke to (Anthony) said it was being delivered “now” I told him I wasn’t in Texas and wouldn’t be for a few more days! I was becoming really frustrated at this point. All I wanted was the truth. I was polite in my conversations and was trying to work with them and gave them every opportunity to communicate with me. I was even hung up on! (Kyle) On November 19th I was told the driver was on his way by one of the dispatch people-either Mark or Kyle. Still no show or contact from company. On December 4th, I actually got two call backs from two different people that day. First was Jeremy-supposedly a dispatch guy-, although I was promised to get a call from the owner “Shaun” . He never called –and when I called him I immediately received a text stating he couldn’t talk. Never got a text or call back from him, even though I had left a message and texts. I again called office, by now I am calling sales office because they aren’t answering the dispatch number. I speak to Mark and he’s now supposedly getting upset with the company saying he’s taking this “personally” and will ask the owner “Shaun” what’s up with my things. He says not to worry they are in a climate controlled storage in Indiana and will be arriving between December 12th and the 14th. Still no show. I have had only 5 call backs from this company since November 6th. Each time a different story. I had a lawyer’s office call them and ask when things will be arriving and Kyle states not to worry…they are in climate controlled storage and will be arriving by December 23rd. Still no show and no call back when I inquired what happened this time. It is now 7 weeks later than originally stated. Way to long for a person to live on with only what can fit into a two door Wrangler. The company advertises they are NOT a broker, then how come you can’t keep in contact with your drivers? I feel they are fraud, asking for more money than was in “Binding” contract after things were loaded, the lack of communication and terrible customer service just baffles me. I don’t understand how the better business bureau can give them an A+ rating?! Even their website has many many terrible reviews on it! I am so sorry I believed the Bbb. I wished I would’ve moved myself or sold everything and bought new.     Did not pick up on date as scheduled.

    These guys are super nice to work with when setting up date for pick-up delivery. I had scheduled 6 months in advance for a particular day pick up, thus scheduling my closing date and travel to new location by air around the pick up date. The day before the company was to pick up my items, they call to tell me they are running behind schedule and will not be able to pick up my items until the day after pick up. This has drastically thrown a wrench into my scheduled plan and has made me re-book my flight for an additional cost. East Coast Moving & Storage will not give me discount for the move because of their lack of ability to properly schedule. I do not know what other wrench they will throw in before my move is complete. I am really afraid to find out. I would not recommend using these guys as they are unreliable!
