   I’m not sure where to start off but I can sure start off by saying Austin was amazing in helping me find the right service I need! I am so impressed on the service I got I almost want to move again (: I highly recommend Five Star Moving and I will be spreading around the name at my work! Thank you so so much!!!

   Excellent Service

   They made my move from Baltimore, MD to Wilmington, DE very easy and stress free. My wife and I moved from our 2 bedroom apartment and I have to say that the service was exceptional. The crew was very friendly and made sure to follow all CDC guidelines for Covid. Definitely recommend!

   Great Job

   5 star did a great job with the move. Contracted with Austin for my move from Georgia to Texas. I was ready to load a u-haul and get going but Austin had a truck near by and was able to fit my load on for $600 LESS than the u-haul rental. Really saved me a backache. I recommend 5 star for any move.

   Financially Devastating Move

   It has taken me a long while to write this review (6 months). I am just so disappointed in Five Star Moving Company. I thought they were sincere regarding their marketing statements and offer of help; but they are just another company all about profits with what seems to be very little regard for their customers and providing a quality service. You are not contracting with a company who has your best interest at heart. They do not seem to understand that their customer base is already stressed out and desperate to believe everything they tell you when trying to get your business. I can tell you if you decide to contract with Five Star Moving Company make sure that you have the sales rep go paragraph by paragraph with you because they quote their contracts quite often when problems arise. Make sure you ask them what to do if the carrier who shows up has no tools to dismantle furniture, no moving quilts for furniture and they want to double the cost. Also, don’t let them talk you into overestimating the final quote. They charge you if you change that first quote even if the sales rep told you to overestimate so I could get a refund if the cubic feet was over. Get it in writing as to how the size of the load will be verified legitimately and accurately. Make sure you get a list of their 4-5 star only carriers to research and put in your contract that if it’s a less than 1 star carrier who shows up, you send them away and demand your fee to 5 Star returned in full. Make sure you know the name of the carrier who takes your load as soon as they have it and don’t accept any carrier whom you find sketchy or 24 out of 25 reviews are horrible; no matter how many times they reassure you it will be fine. Make sure you read every line of the Rights and Responsibilities pamphlet you are supposed to receive prior to you signing the contract. There is so much more I could say. I was financially devastated by the disaster of a move they provided for me. I can’t even get the carrier they contracted with to pay the reimbursement for damages that his insurance company told him to pay. 5 Star said they would put pressure on them to pay, but I haven’t heard from them since they found out how much I’m owed. I assume they couldn’t convince the carrier to pay either. I guess the summary is, ask how their carriers are vetted, read everything twice and do your research on the carrier they say is coming to pick up. I had very nice furniture in pristine condition and now I have an apartment filled with thrift store furniture with every piece having some damage. Also, make sure you get full value insurance. I’ve made many moves in my years and never had damage issues; never had any claims. This was worse than anything I could have imagined. Don’t settle for less than exactly what you are paying for. Personally, I will never use a broker again.

We would like to assure you that we have a very extensive research process to find the best motor carrier for our customers, and due to the addition of over 10 large items, we had to find a new carrier within days of your pick-up to accommodate your moving date. You spoke to the crew and driver and knew the name of the company days prior to them arriving to your home. We understand that some of your items were damaged due to a water leak in a storage unit, (unforeseen and rare occurrence) which is not under Five Star Moving Company's responsibility. However, we offered you a refund of your deposit and the motor carrier also offered you a refund immediately after you informed us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this incident and hope that you will consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with the quality service that we strive to provide for all of our customers.

   Never trust this broker. Made promises that were never kept. Arranged a move from Los Angeles to be delivered at a future date to NYC. Requested move to be scheduled and more than 3 months later nothing scheduled. Told he did his job when the pick up took place. Said he would have another mover pick up that week, again no. Had to after months contact the moving company that he brokered with to be told they were going out of business as soon as they completed their final moves. Had to hire a different mover to pick up in Las Vegas. Totally disgusted with his broken promises and utter disregard for the customer. BEWARE

   Worst experience possible!!!!

   I understand that Five Star are brokers and not the actual movers, but it ultimately falls back on them when they use a carrier like American Knights. Workers showing up to my home smelling like weed, broken items, including irreplaceable family heirlooms, missing items and drivers / team leads that have such poor English and communication skills, that it actually works in their favor while you barely know what you're signing off on with delivery... And the kicker - After all the broken and lost items that happened during the move, we get a final kick in the teeth with them paying 60 cents a pound for replacement value. Five Star assured me of the quality of American Knights and nothing could have been further from the truth!!!! In simple terms, we got screwed and screwed hard!!!!

   Never Received my Items

   A move that was scheduled to take 2-3 weeks was never delivered was impossible to get ahold of anyone who had an idea of where my items were. Has been 5 weeks now and we are still missing everything. Including medical supplies. Do yourself a favor and don’t trust this company with your belongings.

    STAY AWAY

    They claim that they contract out your move to movers that have positive reviews. Our move was contracted to a mover with so many bad reviews it was unbelievable! Obviously we found this out the hard way. You trust a broker would use a reputable company. Our $20,000 move turned into a nightmare! Many items destroyed and missing. DO NOT trust that they hire the best companies.
