    late shipment and broken/missing items

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They tell you within 10 days delivery of your items but they are lying and only deliver after 30 days. So many items were missing and broken worth $300 and when you write to them with the list and pictures, you are only compensated like $25 for it. They are a rip off company and customer service is terrible. You should just drive your own stuff!

Geo van lines, eco van lines, pink van lines

Wow…where do I start. Let me just say this, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. Do not overlook the bad reviews or your gut instinct. They claim they are not brokers but they really are. They get people by not being transparent about the delivery dates…you will not get your things on the day you select. In fact, they make you sign a contract that allows them up to 45 days to deliver your items!! What a joke!!!! It was never disclosed to me that I wouldn’t have my things on my delivery date until money was exchanged and contracts were signed. Even then, I still didn’t know. I didn’t know this until I called them on the date of delivery and was told my things were in storage. The owner Jack was extremely unprofessional and told me “if you are going to complain about my company, have someone else deliver your things” or “if u got a problem with the company, then you got a problem with me”. I really don’t want anyone else to go through what me and my fiancé went through. Please research before you go with them due to “low prices” . FYI, they work under various names such as eco van lines, geo van lines and of course pink van lines. There maybe others. No wonder they switched from geo van lines…go look at the reviews. They screwed so many families over and they should be held accountable. They will most likely try to obtain money through cash or Zelle…there is absolutely no paper trail for cash and any cash apps like zelle, you can’t get any funds back if something was to go wrong. They not brokers but the delivery driver who showed up to my home admitted he does not work for them in any way lol my issue is the transparency. I asked them TWICE if my things would be on time and was reassured it would be. Never told me anything about the possibility of them having your things up to 45 days!!!! Please look at the reviews for geo van lines!!! These people get money by simply not being up front. If anyone was a victim of geo van lines, eco vanlines or pink van lines, save all written corr. I recently spoke with an attorney and he stated we may not be able to get them on breach of contract but you can surely get them on false promises, Misleading statements, negligent misrepresentation, fraudulent inducement. Of course, you will just need the written corr to prove that though. Or possibly recorded telephone conversations. I also expressed to my attorney that I felt like none of the names given were real. I highly doubt the so call manager’s name is Jack lol or the female who handles the money/paperwork is not Cassi. Once again, read the geo van lines and you will see what I’m saying. My attorney assured me this won’t bar victims from having their counsel legally serving the “correct people”. To my surprise, He states virtual addresses and google numbers doesn’t mean anyone can’t find you. It will be a process but cell towers are always there. I highly encourage all victims to look into this. I feel bad for some of these people bc I know the stress these people can cause. I was on the verge of tears when I was sitting in an empty apartment. Good thing is I got my things though Nothing missing or damaged in 4 days. They sent 1 man to deliver and set up my things. He was a sweetheart but I felt bad for him. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many people. I read a review where a man mistakenly received a woman’s dead husband’s urn!!! Unacceptable! They broke a 75 inch tv and offered a settlement of $46 lol shut this mess down or simply make sure no one else does business with them.

RUN!!!! DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GEO VAN LINES!!!!

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! RENT A U-HAUL AND HIRE YOUR OWN LOADING/UNLOADING LABOR. ANYTHING BUT GEO VAN LINES!!! We have moved many times and this was by FAR the worst experience. They will get you by sounding nice and organized, but they are definitely not. We have MANY broken items, the communication after they got their money (round 1) was horrible, and to top it off they did not show up with our belongings on the day we were promised....nor on the next day. When they were finally going to deliver they extorted more money (without any satisfactory explanation) and were going to hold our belongings hostage until we paid them. THEN, WHEN THE TRUCK ARRIVED WE WERE ASKED FOR AN ADDITIONAL SUM BEFORE THEY WOULD UNLOAD! The "not to exceed" estimate was exceeded by over $1000. The old bait and switch is in full flower here, folks. To add insult to injury many many things were broken and some were just plain missing. My Christmas tree? Seriously, how do you "misplace" a 7 foot tall tree? Suffice to say there will be an official complaint lodged with the state. PLEASE, OH PLEASE DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY!

    Do not use!!!!!!

DO NOT USE THEM! Missing boxes, unresponsive, broken and damaged items, and more! I spent quite a bit of money moving with this company, moving from Texas to Georgia. of course the initial call was wonderful and Raymond was “so helpful.” On pick up day, there was a large discrepancy in pricing and the amount due for pick up, even when my inventory and packing items matched what was listed in the quote perfectly. Prior to that day he knew me by name and answered my calls. Come that day, I hear NOTHING. I called his direct extension, sent an email, called customer service. Tried to gave my mother call who also worked with him directly in the move process and all of our attempts were ignored. Because I was on a time crunch and didn’t have the chance to explore another option, I had to proceed anyway. When the movers arrived to my storage unit, they complained the entire time about how my items (washer and dryer, couches, etc.) were “too heavy” and “next time buy lighter stuff.” My items were shoved and tossed in the unit and I complaimed twice about how they handled my items. Not only that, they are missing multiple boxes with very expensive items. I am not sure how this happened when I was sure to buy almost $100 worth of sturdy, matching boxes from Lowe’s and CLEARLY labeled them all on the tops and sides with my name so there was no confusion. Even having purchased insurance with them, I’m sure you can imagine the reimbursement rate does not come close to the hard earned money spent to buy the items in the boxes. My dryer has large dents and dresser Is completely torn on the bottom and leaning now. A $400 speaker that was packed in its original box WITHIN the moving box is completely dented and damaged, which is just a testament to how carelessly they handle your items. IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT, DO NOT TRUST THEM TO HANDLE IT.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

INCONSIDERATE, DISRESPECTFUL, HEARTLESS, MONEY LAUNDERERS!!! I was like a few others who have spoken out that said they saw the poor reviews and thought it would be all right and gave them the benefit of the doubt. How naive I was. In the end, even one of the employees admitted they told me what they thought I would want to hear just to make a sale. To begin, I was lied to by Ron. On our first phone call, he kept stating over and over, “Stop stressing. Don’t worry; we are going to take care of you. You’ll get your belongings, everything will be fine, just pay the down payment, and we will get everything situated for you. Just sign the paperwork and get the deposit down and we’ll get this going.” When I inquired about the statement that it could take up to 21 days, he said, “It’s not going to be 21 days. That is if you are moving to someplace like Idaho! Please, stop stressing! We will get your things there really fast.” When I called the following day I regarded the 1-star scores for the company and was told by him, “Those are people who just want to complain. They are probably like 3 years old. You have to pay to be a part of the BBB, so those complaints are not even valid because we do not pay to be a part of them.” I explained that they were actually very recent and people complained that their things were broken, they weren’t repaid for the damages, couldn’t get ahold of anyone, etc. He said, “That is not true. Don’t believe that. Listen, I will personally see to it your things will arrive promptly, and nothing will happen to them. They will be taken care of. I’m giving you my word; I will personally make sure of it. Don’t worry.” When the movers showed up, I was told, “It can be as early as 5 days, but will probably be about a week.” That was repeated at least three times while his manager, Jack, was on the phone! I should also note that all the guys were smoking POT the entire time they were moving & loading my things! I received my belongings on the 19th day, not 7 days later like I was told. Many of my things are damaged. I was given the wrong number to the movers who were delivering my things so could not get ahold of them to determine an estimated time of arrival. Furthermore, GeoVanLines did not have anyone to answer the following day of that email, being a Sunday, to get a correct number. SO, I get a phone call at 10 minutes before 9 PM on a Sunday night from the movers saying they are 20 minutes away! I was in my pajamas and just about to start fixing dinner. The mover precedes to tell me he was not given the correct phone number for me and had been trying to call the day before. I told him it was very late, and I have work in the morning. I was about to fix supper, and I was not appropriately dressed or prepared, and this was incredibly short notice. He gets his manager to call me, who says they were given the wrong number and only just now got the correct one when they referred back to an email that was sent previous and says, “Well, if you can’t accept the delivery now, I will have my guys put it in storage, and it can be delivered in 3 WKS when the next group comes through.”I explain the current scenario and it is going to take a while for them to unload; there are only 2 movers! He says, “Oh, no. It will take like 30 min. Drop-offs are much faster than pick-ups.” There was really only One person moving because the other guy was on his phone and shouting at the head guy that he was not helping him, that he was tired of helping him do everything. So, I had to jump in and help this kid bring my things in and take off all the coverings. This took nearly 2 hrs. At the end, when he had to bring in the washer, again he asked the other guy, “can you at least help me with the washer?” And the other guy starts going off on him all over again. He was able to get it in the house but could only move it so far on his own, so I went over and started walking it to the laundry room when he told me to just stop and let him do it. But he couldn’t, so instead left it sticking out halfway into my hallway. My bed frame arrived missing 3 of its wheels, my dresser and office drawers have the wood paint scraped off, they dropped my rocker on the sidewalk by stacking a bunch of my things scratching that, a collectors beer mug broken, crystal candle holders broken, a huge dent in a brand new crockpot I didn’t even have a chance to use once, they took the mattress cover I purchased, lost the hoses to the washer, and scratched my washer. What is even more unbelievable is many of these items were bubble wrapped packed in a box that was in another box that had pillows on both ends! On top of that, they also refused to wear masks during this uptick of the pandemic.

    Stood us Up

We had a confirmed moving day with confirmation the day before. They had a truck break down and had no alternatives. They cancelled on us on moving and packing day. No alternatives, no suggestions, just "too bad." We still had a few days before we HAD to get out but I never heard from the again when trying to simply reschedule. Confirmation to me to use the big, but more expensive, companies. They wouldn't have left me in a lurch like this. I ended up having to use UHaul myself. Very uncool and unprofessional.

    Geo Van Lines

On May 29, 2021, I spoke with their moving coordinator, Shannon Harrison. She was probably the best “used car salesman” I’ve ever encountered. Remember how I said before I’m not naïve…. well as Shannon and I talked for over an hour about her grandchildren and how often she loves to visit them etc etc., a good ol’ southern vulnerability swept over me, and I was completely sold on this companies’ ability to safely transport all my belongings from TX to FL without any hitches. Shannon never stepped foot in my house to assess the amount of cu ft we had; it was all done over the phone tediously from room to room. She assessed that there were no issues with all of it fitting into their 26 ft large truck. She bragged about how their guys would gladly take anything and everything off our walls and wrap it securely. I asked her no less than 3 times about how long it would take for our stuff to be delivered (that’s the first and most important question any person would ask, right?) She told me all three times 2-4 days…7 days worst case scenario. She also told me they’d arrive at our home to pickup everything at the crack of dawn on moving day. I had to put down 10% ($686.00) that very day. We were told the remainder would have to be paid once our belongings were delivered. June 18, 2021, my husband and I got up around 5:00am—well before daylight. Six o’clock rolled around, then 8:00, then 10:00, we tried calling and calling and no one would answer. At 10:30am, the truck finally showed up. Four hours of packing and loading have now been missed. I noticed they weren’t taking anything off the walls, so I asked them about it to which they responded with “sorry, we don’t do that.” I explained that Shannon said you did, and they said “Oh, we’re subcontractors, we don’t work directly for GEO Van Lines.” Turns out, GEO doesn’t move a thing for their business, they hire it all out to subcontractors. Something we were NEVER told. Towards the end of the evening, they said it wouldn’t all fit into their truck and they needed to call in an additional one. Surprise Surprise! The second truck gets there and we have now been charged an additional $2400.00. We were furious and helpless—they had us over a barrel at that point. I cried a little….to say the least. My husband and I raced to Florida to arrive before the two day mark on Sunday June 21. We wanted to ensure we wouldn’t miss the truck’s arrival. I’m sure by now you know where this is going…..a whole week passed and we heard nothing from GEO Van Lines. Here’s where it gets good! We tried multiple (and I do mean multiple) phones calls, text messages, voice mails, and emails. They refused to respond to anything whatsoever. Turns out they had our numbers blocked. After eight days, we decided to call our police department to ask what to do. They instructed us to send a certified letter demanding our belongings and if it didn’t arrive in 10 days then we’d seek legal action. Twenty days later, July 7, 2021, a truck shows up in FL. However, about 25% of our stuff is still missing. They wanted us to pay the remainder of the balance and we refused for obvious reasons. The subcontractor (which was a convicted felon, who spent 3 years in prison for grand theft, by the way) was demanding cash, to which we said Ummmm, no, but he wouldn’t accept debit card payments, so we were forced to pay him through Zelle. Problem is, you can only send a new contact in Zell $500 per day, which ended with me having to pay him a portion through Zelle, Cash App, and Venmo. Can you say NIGHTMARE? We were told the remainder of our stuff was right behind them in another truck. Well, that “truck” didn’t show up for 23 more days. YEP! So that means our stuff was picked up on June 18, 2021 and wasn’t fully delivered until July 30, 2021. I’ll do the math for you, that’s 42 days later. Keep in mind, we had only packed our original suitcases for about a 7-day trip. This means we had to go buy additional undergarments, clothing, hair supplies, had to call in emergency medication refills, and so much more. We had to eat out meals 3x a day because we had nothing to cook anything with and we hated to buy new cooking supplies when there’s a ton on the way “any day now” ….or so we thought. I was so stressed out over all this, I got a horrible migraine and ended up in the hospital. I’ve never been so angry, stressed and helpless all at the same time. We’re currently in the process of legal action. I can’t reiterate enough how important it is for you and your loved ones NOT to use this company. Oh, I forgot the best part…..at least half of our stuff is damaged, scraped, broken, torn etc.

Worst company .. Stay away .. Read the reviews

They promised tocome between 8-12 p.m. but they didn’t show up until 3:00 p.m. They didn’t have the required tools to assemble and disassemble the furniture. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews until the last min, because I was busy closing out for my home, but after I did , I decided to cancel the service because they just proved all the reviews about them are right. They charged me $375 cancellation fees and they did nothing more than phone talk. I accepted this damage, rather than letting them touching my furniture and screw me over like what they did to the rest of the folks. Please, read the reviews…
