Good Mover.
These guys"(1st generation) were polite, professional, and fast. They took care in handling everything, and kept me informed on what was going on with each step of the process. They were also very patient with me while working out the details of the move. Overall a positive experience.

Excellent customer service.
Recently I have received excellent costumer service from 1st Generation Moving company. Their service and professional care exceeded my expectation. Three most important things that makes them the best in business: Friendly approach, affordable price, and able to deliver their service ahead of schedule. I would recommend 1st generation moving for anyone that need best moving service.

My move.
I was looking for last minute movers after another company came to pick up my items and wanted to charge me 3 times more than their telephone quote. So I cancelled them and started to look for new movers. I had only 3 days to move my items out of the storage before I get charge for another month. I contacted few company and when I spoke with Diane (representative at 1st generation) I felt I should go with them. They came the next day, the movers were experienced and friendly. I had extra charge of $225 because they needed to pack few fragile items but overall they did a great job. They worked more than 4 hours to load my furniture’s and went straight to OK to deliver. Everything arrive in good shape, they put the beds back together. I was very relief to put this move behind me in such an easy way. So just to say 1st Generation Moving & Storage did a great job and I thank them.

Move from AR to NY
This company will make your move the worst possible in every imaginable aspect. I was paired with them through a brokerage company to move all of my belongings from Arkansas to NYC, and was told that they would be able to deliver everything on a specific date as I had informed them that I would be out of town for three weeks after that - they ended up arriving a full week late and I had to have a friend do my move for me since I wasn't there. Absolutely ZERO apology from the company, and the owner yelled down the phone that if I wanted to argue over the date on the contract I could lawyer up and he would have his lawyer ready. The day that they were moving my things in, I got a call that there was a "long carry" fee of $500, even though they were parked directly in front of my apartment building and had access to a reserved freight elevator that was in the lobby. By that standard, every move is a "long carry" move. Of course I was left no choice but to pay, as they had my belongings in their truck. Once I arrived home, I realized that they had lost an entire large box (I had maybe 10 boxes total being moved). I called them, and Jason told me that they would check the warehouse and ask the other moves that had been loaded in the same truck if they had my box. Over the next two weeks I called repeatedly, only to be told that it wasn't in the warehouse and that they were still checking with the other clients on the route. Finally, after AGAIN having to call instead of receiving any update from them, I was told that no other client had the box and I would have to file an insurance claim. Of course, not one single apology from the company for the fact that they lost an entire large box of my things. The contract they have you initial specifies in the fine print (my bad for not reading closer) that insurance coverage is given on a 60 cent/pound basis. So even though I had multiple items that were very valuable in the box they lost, the most I could receive as an insurance payout would be a pittance. Given the other reviews here, I am not wasting my time to file a claim because I doubt that I would ever receive my check. Absolutely do not use this company for your cross-country or local move - their ownership does not care one ounce about making your move bearable in any respect.

A big old NOPE
Trash company and if I could give negative stars, i would! Beware, once they have your money, they don't care about what happens to your stuff. We moved across states and somehow, this company managed to lose several of our boxes, including a box that was full of very sentimental wedding stuff (including a signed guest book, along with other irreplaceable items). They also delivered 3 boxes of items that did not belong to us. After sharing the lot numbers and stickers from these unknown boxes (full of NICE kitchen items for the most part), they still were unable to find the owners of these boxes, nor were they able to find our wedding items. Kind of weird when you have a certain amount of deliveries along a route and yet you are unable to figure out what belongs to who even though these boxes were clearly labeled? Hay, the owner didn't respond to any of the messages I sent regarding our stuff and other managers involved, after making some half-hearted efforts to figure out whose stuff we had and also to "find" our stuff, pretty much went radio silent. Cool, so i lost some of my most precious, irreplaceable memories and you guys could care less. How hard is it to call the folks along that delivery route and figure out where things landed? Anyways, as I sit here missing my items and with a garage with 3 boxes full of unclaimed items that I'm sure someone is missing, these guys will continue to not give a shit. So if you want to spend a lot of $$$ to a company who really could care less about the bottom line of getting your stuff safely and fully delivered, then by all means, use these guys.

Move from Oklahoma to Florida
Do NOT use this company. There is no communication and they refuse to provide the requested paperwork to their insurance company so my damage claim can be paid. They took over a month to get my things to me at the new address. The delivery driver gave me no signed paperwork and they will now not talk to me. This company is incredibly careless and I don't recommend that anyone use them.

Long distance Oklahoma to Florida
Didn't communicate what was going on. Contract was for 21 business days, they delivered 2 days after the contract ended. Loaded truck backwards. Went to Tampa and West Palm Beach, before Orlando. Charged extra for more steps then 8 (didn't sign anything stating that). Chris did the unloading himself, the other guy wouldn't help him.
