   We used Carter to unload our UBoxes, as recommended by UHaul. Gary could not have been more helpful, and his crew was exceptional. They added us to an already busy holiday schedule as a favor. They were here on time, each member of the crew was courteous and worked hard (tattoos or not). They were done unloading 4 boxes in our two story home in two and a half hours, and everything was placed right where we wanted it. I cannot say enough about our positive experience with this unloading and with Gary and their crew.

   No Call No Show- Don’t Hire!!!!

   Stay away from this company!!!! I should have read reviews before scheduling a move with them. We were set to have Carter Moving & Delivery move us on 7/2/26. Movers were scheduled WELL in advance, confirmation was made 24 hours before scheduled move time. Morning of the move, no call no show. Called Gary, no answer...so | left a very nice voicemail. Waited 2 hours, still nothing...so I kindly texted asking for an ETA on the movers- no response. I received no curtousey call, no text, email, nothing, informing us that we would not have movers arrive to move us. Only then, did I, myself, have to reach out via phone to a different number, and a guy named Cecil was the one to inform me that "Gary had an emergency and had to leave overnight." Mind you, a phone call or text informing us we would not have movers arriving that day, would've helped tremendously with the predicament THEY left us in. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! If I would have just read the reviews about this company I would've noticed they're known for no call no shows. It's always an "emergency" that happens when they do it too. STAY FAR AWAY AND DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! | have all communications documented. And they can't say I had the wrong number because Gary's text showed "read" when he opened the one from me. Go with someone else! Do NOT waste your time with this company. Sad how they can just screw people over the way they do, and sleep comfortably at night.

   Gary Carter

   Gary Carter sent a crew that was high to my home. They severely damaged one of our pieces of furniture which they dropped face down on the driveway. He said he would cover the cost of repair, but is no longer responding. If you are looking for a sign as to whether you should hire this company, this is it...BEWARE.

   If I could give a negative star I would. Made an appointment on Oct 8 for a storage unit move on Nov 2. As the date came closer I reached out on Oct 28 to confirm my appointment. I didn't get a reply so I reached out again on Oct 29 and they replied with "Confirmed 9:00 am". On move day I arrived early to the storage unit. After waiting 30 minutes for them to arrive I reached out asking if they were just running late. No reply. I then informed them that I would wait a bit longer and to please reply and let me know if they were coming or not. Nothing! They never showed up and I never received a reply or call. The very least a company could do is call and let you know they either screwed up or the workers are sick or they forgot or just something. Heck, lie to me, I don't care but do something! I'm sitting there waiting for the movers. So incredibly irresponsible, rude, and disrespectful. I loved the guys that moved us before through Carter's and that's why I specifically requested them, Cecil and Brandon, great team. If I knew how to get a hold of them I would contact them directly and use them. Now I'm stuck paying another month of storage rent, so incredibly angry with this company. They should pay ME for my time and extra storage expense.

   Bad company

   The Carter Moving and Delivery company and its owner broke an expensive grill and I wrote to him to settle what happened, whether at fault or not he should pay or settle with me. He wanted to wash his hands of it, claiming that he hired helpers. but I see it is the name of a company that works on this platform. I want this payment to be frozen and make a formal dispute until that company reaches an agreement with me and pays for the damage. Otherwise this company should not belong to Movinghelp. because it does not provide security, value and respect for customer items.

   CUSTOMER BEWARE

   we hired Mr. Coopers moving service on April 16, 2021. We made arrangements to have 4 of his guys help load the UHaul trucks. One of his employees Taylor had his wife (old Lady) come to help out. The truth was Carol (the old lady) cased our place and stole valuable items from us. When calling Mr. Cooper he advised us that he was not responsible and he doesn't have insurance. I contacted the police but not much can be done. NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! oh and let me mention they did NOT fill the truck up and left tons of stuff all over the place. Lazy, worthless people and company.

   Worse move in 40 years.

   When Gary wasn’t there personally, workers threw my furniture into the U-Box, didn’t wrap furniture as promised. Writing bench came off in 8 pieces, many antique furniture pieces had moisture damage to their finish, one table missing an entire leg. Now they won’t respond with their insurance information. AWFUL experience.

   Damaged multiple items, loaded improperly.

   This was our second time using Carter Moving. The first time, we used them to unload when we moved to Texas in Sept 2014. The crew was fast and fabulous, taking great care of our items. We used Carter this time in February 2018 to load our truck for our move from TX to FL. First, the crew arrived and immediately started to complain about the 2 hours they had to drive to get to us. They did this the ENTIRE time. Second, we had all boxes staged out of the way so that heavy furniture could be loaded first and boxes used to fill in gaps. They ignored me MULTIPLE times and took out all the boxes first. They did not load the truck properly, causing the load to not only be imbalanced, but they also did not load to the top of the truck. They loaded the truck so poorly we had to spend an additional FIVE hours unloading the truck and RELOADING it. As we unloaded, we found they took my antique dresser and threw it on top of my chest freezer, severely damaging both. We had extra moving blankets they didn't bother to use at all, they wrapped up the antique dresser ONLY in plastic wrap. But, they sure were worried about making sure that the MDF Walmart cube that was $15 had not one but TWO moving blankets to protect it. They told us the truck was full (which was because of their ineptitude and intentionally loading it to look full) and when I stood on top of the aforementioned MDF cube system, I could see that they had loaded with giant gaps and tried to hide it behind our mattress. We were able to reload the back half of the 26' truck and gained over 5 full feet of room front to back by repacking it the proper way. We still had to rent an additional trailer to move the heavy furniture they didn't bother with as directed to multiple times, but hey, they were tired from their 2 hour commute. The lost time from reloading the truck, the lost money from renting the trailer, the lost sleep before a 15 hour drive, the lost sleep that caused us to have to unexpectedly rent two hotel rooms were not even the worst things.. The worst is that we filed a complaint with moving help and Gary was super responsive to us, admitting fault and agreeing to refund us if only we could close the case with moving help because it hurts him :(. Well, a month later Gary stopped replying to us and no refund has been received. I am now going to have to file a court case and a case with my credit card to get this refunded since Gary doesn't want to keep his word. Shadiness at it's finest here. We used Carter Moving a second time based on the great job they did on unload but Gary and his crew really showed their true colors when they 'loaded' our truck for our move.

    Carter Moving.

    I wish I had read the reviews for this company before I hired them for my move. They were recommended by Uhaul so I assumed they would be professional and reliable. Unfortunately I had the same experience as the other reviewers. I was overcharged and most of my furniture was damaged during loading. I contacted Gary and he said he would send me a refund check a month ago. I've contacted him several times and apparently he has no intention of keeping his word as he won't return calls or text messages.
