   Smoothest Moving Experience

   The movers Carlos, Hector, and Alejandro were all you could ever ask for when moving. Once they arrived, they began to do their jobs swiftly yet carefully as none of our goods were damaged at the end of this whole process. We had agreed to one price at the being of this process, and to my surprise, that was what I ended up paying, nothing more, nothing less though I ended up paying them a tip for their great work. They were able to package all of our valuables without any supervision, and they made it clear from the beginning that they were going to do a great job, and so they did.

   Efficient

   There was a mis communication at first that required the movers to procure a larger truck. But this was quickly handled. They moved quickly and did not take a break until they were on the way to our new house. When they got to the new house, they immediately got to work and unloaded the truck as quickly as they could. My furniture arrived in good condition, they offered to put the beds together, but I decided to do that myself. There were a few boxes marked "fragile" that were crushed a little, but thankfully only a few water glasses broke (I blame that on my poor packing). All in all, they made a very long and stressful day a little easier.

   Stay FAR FAR AWAY

   Roy's Moving- Stay FAR FAR AWAY.  I have a lengthy post on Yelp that will show the details: For brevity I will summarize here to convince you to stay away.1.  Showed up 8.5 hours late from arrival time that was communicated.  They showed up at 8:30 pm.2.  Their mistakes are your (the customers) fault.  Documents that weren't signed and incorrect addresses to send money via Zelle are a couple.3.  Wrong size equipment for the amount of space quoted.  The movers were going to leave two dressers and 6 more large boxes in the garage because they didn't have room in the truck.  We were quoted 2200 cubic ft.  They showed up in a 26 box truck that at best holds ~1800 cubic ft of storage.4.   Change in delivery address of 64 miles equated to an increased cost of $5400.  5. The Surface Transportation Board contact and 3 separate attorneys called the increased cost extortion.  The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has an open complaint.6. NOT customer friendly or service oriented.  When you have a call to discuss logistics and updates, they promise a call back but the call never happens.  You have to call back to get updates when they promised to do so.7.  They will try to extort additional money from you for shuttle services that are unnecessary and try to get you to pay additional fees for services that are standard.8. Once you know they are en route, know they can show up anytime.  I was told by George I would get a call 24-48 hours in advance to prepare for arrival.  I received a call at 1:00 am on a Tuesday that the truck would arrive at 9:00 am on Tuesday.  They finally showed up at 10:10 am.If you like aggravation, extortion, poor customer service and a generally bad company to work with, choose Roy's Moving.  Otherwise avoid Roy's Moving like the plague.

   Terrible Experience - READ!!

   During my interstate move, Roy's Moving's crew knocked my desktop computer off a counter and destroyed it while carrying a desk into my home. The computer was brand-new and was not part of the shipment - it was already in the residence. Roy's own claims adjuster, CSI, later confirmed in writing that the item "was not included in [my] move." Roy's required me to route the claim through CSI Pros. After a months-long process, CSI valued the destroyed computer at $0, declined to make any determination, and referred it back to Roy's. The replacement parts total $4,489; I offered to settle for the original documented amount of $2,464.94 if Roy's paid within two weeks. Roy's representative responded that payment would issue only after I signed their release form - but the only release I had been sent was for $0. When I replied that I would gladly sign a release reflecting the actual settlement amount, they stopped responding. In my experience, this felt less like a good-faith effort to make a customer whole than a way to avoid paying for damage their own crew caused. I would not trust Roy's Moving with anything I couldn't afford to lose, and I'd urge anyone considering them to get every commitment in writing. (USDOT 2428059 / MC 842778.)

   Move of small amount of belongings from Central NYS to NC

   I gave a #1 rating. They deserve less. I hired Safe Ship moving from Florida at the end of Dec 2025..Without my permission, they then assigned my move to Roy’s. It has been a total nightmare! Initially, 2 men showed up with belongings tat were not mine. A tall man with a Russian accent kept insisting I pay up front! Several days later, 2 kind Hispanic men brought my shipment. It was handled well until I asked where my 2 antique oak chest of drawers were. They were missing! Despite almost daily phone calls, they have not been recovered. I suspect a theft has occurred. These are irreplaceable family pieces. I filed a claim in early Jan with their insurance carrier CSI. DESPITE 3 communications, nothing has been done! I’ve also filed a police report in the city the items originated from. It is now 3/3/26! I am in very poor health, and this has been upsetting for me and my family. HIRING SAFE SHIP AND ROY’s MOVING HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE MISTAKE AND NIGHTMARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE!!!

   Con artists

   Moved from VT to OR. They agree on a price, then force you to pay upon delivery in cash at a much higher amount. Don’t believe the cubic ft price on their contract. I looked up the Penske truck size and they lied about the cubic ft of it also. Hence the over charge and not the agreed amount even though I gave them a sixty percent check based on new agreed price as per contract. Oh did I mention they also Forged my signature on bill of lading and didn't change it to agreed amount. Mind you, What moving company looses 18 boxes, many broken items and parts missing. They never contact you and couldn’t care less after they have your money. MOVER’S BEWARE!!!!!!

    Horrible company

    1 star is far too many! Scammers, rip offs and will charge xtra at delivery. Arrive without calling. Rude to security guard. Charged me xtra $575 at delivery and lued about needing to shuttle my belongings in order to deliver. Complete BS ! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it. ICE needs to know about the people they hire ?
